I’m no stranger to shopping in the men’s department (or better yet, Cody’s closet ;)) It’s one of my shopping secrets, especially when it comes to sportswear. The two workout pieces I always snag from the boys? Jackets and sneakers.

I love the comfy, oversized fit of a jacket layered over a pair of workout leggings so a men’s jacket in a small is usually the perfect fit. Not only does it basically double your options for styles but it also increases your odds of finding something in your size. There are tons classic sportswear jackets that read unisex too so there’s no reason not to browse the men’s department next time you are on the hunt for that perfect layer to add to your workout look or for a casual weekend vibe. I love this colorblocked option and this blue and red one.

If you haven’t already ditched the idea of shopping solely in the women’s department for sneakers, now is the time! Go down a size and a half to two sizes from your normal size to find the right fit in the men’s section. Between the men’s and kids’ department (another great option if you are size 8.5 or under plus with lower price points), I’ve scored some great sneakers that I either couldn’t find in women’s styles or in my size.   11. Yes absolutely! I recently discovered my dream white (expensive) sneakers in big boy size were very affordable! Also those small men’s sizes are often marked down bc they aren’t in demand, I guess. You are always so shrewd when it comes to clothes options! Thanks!
