DETAILS: RED CROPPED HOODIE (UNDER $50 – COMES IN 6 COLORS) | BLACK DOWN COAT | LEGGINGS | SNEAKERS | SUNGLASSES | GUCCI CROSSBODY | BLACK SUITCASE

Hello from Whistler! We booked a couple’s trip with a few of my blogger friends and I’m excited to be back in Canada!

You guys know how much I love to be comfy especially when it comes to traveling! This cropped hoodie is so good I own it in like 4-5 colors. It’s super cozy and I love the cropped hem so it feels a little more feminine. It’s under $50 and seriously one of my favorite layers ever. I also just got these sneakers and am obsessed with the marbled bottom! Such a pretty detail and a good price point too.

Let me know if you guys have any must-dos for Whistler in the comments below! Or follow along on stories today!

Daily Style Diaries: The #1 Trick To Mixing Prints and Colors

hello fashion sets

DETAILS: GREEN PLAID BLAZER (WEARING SIZE 4) | GREEN PLAID MINI SKIRT (WEARING SIZE 4 – UNDER $100 –  HOW CUTE IS THIS ONE?!) | STRIPED TOP  (WEARING SIZE 4 – ALSO GOT THIS ONE) | WHITE SNEAKERS | OVAL SUNGLASSES | ROUND STRAW TOTE

I go through phases when I’m constantly buying neutrals, and then next thing I know my closet is colorless haha. So all of the sudden I’m loving all things bright and colorful – probably a side effect of winter 🙂 I found this green plaid blazer and mini skirt combo and was in love (also obsessed with this pleated pink – so cute.) I ended up trying it on with this striped top and it was such a fun combo mixing prints! I especially love the red and blue stripe down the sleeves for another fun accent color.

If you aren’t used to wearing a lot of color, even mixing two tones might seem like a lot but it’s so easy to do and makes for a great statement outfit. If you are still worried about it being too bold, balance it out with neutral accessories like white sneakers or a neutral straw bag (LOVE this one! It’s a great size and under $50). Or go bold! I also got these bright blue boots that match perfectly with the stripe on the side. It’s a statement look (especially with a red lip to bring it full circle) but hey, some days call for more color than others, right? I also got these pink track pants and can’t wait to wear them!

Below are some more of my favorite colorful pieces lately!

You guys know I love anything in pink so I was obsessed with these as soon as I laid eyes on them! I have a hard time with shorts – a lot of times they look really boxy on me – but I love the feminine side-pleat on this pair. Also still living in these colorblocked sneakers. Am I the only who gets excited when you have matching sneakers? haha

DETAILS:  BLACK AND NUDE STRAPPY SPORTS BRA (WEARING SIZE 6) | BLACK HOT SHORTS (WEARING SIZE 4) | COLORBLOCKED NIKES

These shorts are another great pair. I love the length and the really thick waistband – they also come in 12 colors. Also how pretty is this sports bra!!

I’m such a sucker for strappy sports bras. Most sportswear pieces are pretty simple silhouettes, so you get to have the most fun with pretty sports bras – love this one (comes in 12 colors)! Also, even better with this tie-back tank to show off the back detail. Love the combo and the cool spattered print on this tank (comes in 3 colors).

These are the most comfortable Lululemon leggings I have ever owned!! They don’t have a hem at the bottom which I never realized made such a difference. And love the pockets! I never realized how useful pockets were in workout pants until now. Seriously, I can’t recommend these enough and tell all my friends about them.

7 Reasons to Visit the Nickelodeon Punta Cana Resort

Kid Friendly Nickelodeon Resort

Family Trip Destinations

DETAILS: BLACK PRINTED TOP | MATCHING SHORTS | MIRRORED SUNGLASSES

Hey guys!! I have soooo many travel guides still in my saved drafts I need to post still so I’m telling you guys here and now that I’m going to post them with in the next 7 days! I think by writing it down it holds me accountable haha but I’m excited to share our travel diary from our trip to Punta Cana earlier this month. It was our first time to the Dominican Republic so we were super excited to go! We stayed at the Nickelodeon Punta Cana. They opened about a year ago, so it’s really nice and new still. The kids said it was their favorite trip we have done, and honestly Cody and I went with the intention it was going to be super kid focused but it was actually super fun for adults too! With that, here are 7 reasons to visit the Nickelodeon Punta Cana Resort:

Hello Fashion Vacation Punta Cana

1. There’s something for everyone. Going to a themed resort, we were expecting it to be more geared towards the kids but I was surprised at how adult-friendly it was! There’s the full-fledged kids area and water park, but then there is an area with several pools and direct beach access with cabanas, food, endless Pina coladas and the perfect body surfing waves! So it appealed to the whole family, not just the kids!  Every day we would see at least a couple characters around the resort, but they weren’t out 24/7 so the magic and excitement at seeing a new character never went away.

2. The accommodations. If you guys followed along on Insta stories at all, you know what I’m talking about. The villas are insane! They have tons of different options for rooms that are all amazing- this one even had a pool in the villa. Especially when you are traveling as a family, the room is always high on my list because the kids need a break from the sun sometimes so it’s nice to have a spacious area to come relax. Also they had an outdoor shower and tub and it was my favorite part of the room!! The kids took a bath every night outside and Cody and I would wake up and relax in the tub. Seriously I highly suggest the upgrade! Also one of the villas is the shape of a pineapple – Spongebob’s House!

Mara took this pic.  The kids have really gotten into photography it’s so cute to see them just pick up the camera and take their own pics of each other 🙂

3. The Waterpark Foam Party. This reminded me so much of a kid-friendly version of spring break haha. They had the foam party a couple days a week and foam up parts of the water park, which ends up flowing into the lazy river and kids pool. Definitely a highlight! Make sure you do it! The water park in general is super nice! They have tons of water slides for all ages and so the kids were entertained for hours!

punta cana beaches

4. The beach. Direct beach access is SO NICE! The stretch of beach right in front of the resort had little waves (it might have just been windy the day we were there). Cody and the kids loved it because it was perfect water for body surfing. Yes I went a couple times, but you guys know how scared I am when I can’t see the bottom of the water (shark phobia!)  I know so pathetic so I only went for like 15 minutes before my anxiety would set in! haha please tell me someone else gets it?? But the water is also super warm so it’s easy to get in.

If you walk super smooth water you can walk not even 2 minutes to the left, the water is totally calm so you really had the best of both worlds right there. We took a taxi to another beach about 5 minutes away which was also amazing but I’ll be sharing that in a full post soon!

Punta Cana Sites

(The Italian restaurant – so pretty!!!)

Nickelodeon Punta Cana Resort

5. The food! At a lot of the inclusive resorts we’ve found that even if you eat at different restaurants, the food starts to feel the same, but that wasn’t the case at all here. The food was so good. Our favorites were Verdello (Italian – loved the bolognese spaghetti and the lasagna!) and Wok Wok (Asian Fusion – the fried rice was amazing!). There was also a cute little coffee shop that had the best caramel macchiato I’ve ever had! They had ice creams and gourmet desserts around the clock so the kids stopped every couple hours for a treat 🙂 They said the ice-cream was their favorite.

We also did a character breakfast one morning. You can either do all the characters of ninja turtles. The kids opted for ninja turtles and Wes was so excited. He got the most into it, Beckam liked it for a second then got scared haha.

nickelodeon character breakfast

6. The kids’ zone. The kid center was really nice. They had a different character theme every day – one day was Dora the Explorer theme complete with a treasure hunt. They also had a Paw Patrol day (Beckam’s favorite!) and a cool Paw Patrol slide like the show. The kids loved it and always wanted to go back, so it ended up being perfect timing for Cody and I to sneak in a spa service 😉

Punta Cana Sunset

DETAILS: ORANGE JUMPSUIT (UNDER $50) | BAMBOO CIRLCE BAG (SIMILAR HERE UNDER $50) | GREY SUEDE SLIDES

5. The entertainment. Every night the Nickelodeon Punta Cana Resort had a different show going on. It was fun to have something to look forward to every night! Our favorite was the circus show. They also play a different kid movie on a big projector in the common area with free treats and a old school popcorn machine. They put out toys like hola hoops and stuff for the kids to play with. Mara and Wes made new friends from New York and still talk to them even since we’ve been home 🙂

6. The spa. I wish I had a good picture of the spa. If you saw my stories you know the joke lol. I asked Cody to take a pic and he said got it and it was a blurry one of me with my eyes closed lol. Haha we all can relate! But the spa was so so nice. We got a couple massage. Make sure you go to the back serenity and pool area to relax. It’s so peaceful.

hello fashion gets slimed

7. GET SLIMED! I think this was what Wes was MOST excited about. He literally was shaking he was so excited. We all got slimed big time!! Wes loved it so much we did it twice 🙂 For sure a must do!

I still have tons of pictures from our trip to share so let me know if you guys have any questions about the resort or Punta Cana that I can address in my next post!

5 MUA-Approved Hacks To Speed Up Your Beauty Routine

Happy Friday everyone!! I am always learning tips and tricks from the girls who do my makeup for shoots, especially when there are hacks that cut down my beauty routine. Half the time I am getting ready in 15 minutes so any tips to save time, I’m stealing.  I wantsed to share 5 of my favorite beauty hacks Marisa has taught me.

5 MUA-Approved Hacks to Speed Up Your Beauty Routine

Use products that do double duty: For those mornings when I’m running late or only have time for a few quick steps, Marisa swears by two-in-one products. I just got the Olay Regenerist Whip, which is a super lightweight moisturizer that goes on really velvety-smooth so it’s like a no-primer primer. It also absorbs instantly into your skin so you don’t have to wait before applying your makeup.

beauty hacks

Break-out Woes: If you notice a blemish coming on, take action the night before and you won’t have to stress about it in the morning! Use a needle to poke a hole in a small liquigel capsule (anything with ibuprofen!) and apply to your problem spot. It will help reduce swelling and redness overnight and cut down on cover-up time come the morning.

break-out hacks

Look Alive: One of my favorite makeup hacks is to apply a white or cream eyeliner to your lower waterline. It takes two seconds and will brighten your eyes and make your whole face seem more awake!

hello Fashion beauty

DIY: Kill two birds by mixing your moisturizer with your foundation to create your own tinted moisturizer. It creates a really natural coverage so it’s perfect for a fast, fresh-faced beauty look. The Olay Regenerist Whip also helps with fine lines and wrinkles so it’s a great condensed skincare step. (You can get it online here or pick it up at Ulta.)

Hello fashion beauty tips

Make the most of your powders: Another trick Marisa taught me was to spray my makeup brushes before using powder for a pigmented look. It’s perfect for eyeshadows when you want a color to pop more, or for a stronger blush or bronzer.

5 Things I’ve Started Investing in with Age

advice i wish i knew in my 30s

5 Things I've Started Investing in with Age

investing in with age

DETAILS: PINK PAJAMA SET | LACE BRA | ALSO GOT THESE MATCHING PANTIES

We’re baaack! We had such an amazing time in the Dominican Republic celebrating mine and Mara’s birthdays. Thank you all for your sweet birthday wishes – they totally made my day! It’s funny the older you get, the things you enjoy spending money on chance, your perspectives change, life changes. It’s weird though because mentally I still feel in my early 20’s a lot of times, and then it will hit me that I’m not that age anymore! I don’t know if that even makes sense lol – anyone else relate? But I have to admit, I really love my 30s. (I’m 33 for those who have asked) – these have been the best years! Anywayyyy in reflecting on my age, I realized the things I spent my money on in my 20s is so different in my 30s. I thought it would be fun to share some of the buys that have changed with age. 🙂

1. Comfy PJ’s: If you’re anything like me you love to lounge around in cozy pajamas. The second I get home from work, 99.5% of the time I’m stripping down and changing into my comfy clothes! I also work from home a lot so comfort is key! I’ve realized that it’s so work it to spend a little more on high quality pajama sets that will literally last forever. I just got these Thirdlove pajamas and I’m obsessed! They are so soft and as soon as you put them on you’ll fall in love. They come in three colors but you guys know I’m a sucker for pink so of course I picked that color. 🙂

2. Good Books: Ok if I’m totally honest, it’s more like cute decor books. I love looking for new coffee table books or pretty books for our shelves. When it comes to actual reading, I feel like maybe i save money now because I get books on tape and Audible.

3. My Skincare Routine: I can’t say this enough, but it’s never too early to invest in good skincare products. I didn’t really start to focus on my skin until I hit my 30’s, well maybe late 20’s – but now I’m definitely making up for lost time and it’s one thing that I always invest in.

4. Candles: Candles, candles, candles! I have been going through a major candle phase lately – nothing makes a house feel more like a home than a good scent! Whether an investment to you is $10 or $100, it will make all the difference in your home (not to mention it double as decor!).

5. Pretty Lingerie: Nothing beats feeling comfy and feminine at the same time. You guys know I love my sweats and tees, but there’s something about good lingerie underneath that makes you feel confident no matter what you’re wearing on top. I just got this pretty two-tone bra (also got the matching panties) and am obsessed! I’ll usually find any excuse to ditch my bra, but that’s not the case with this one – it’s so comfy!

Thirdlove is one of the only companies I know of that will let you try out one of their bras for 30 days completely free! If you’re unsure which fit would be right for you they also have a fit finder quiz here.

What are some of the things you guys have started investing in? Below are a few more pretty lingerie pieces and pajamas I’m loving!

We made it to the Dominican Republic! It’s our first time here! The weather here is beautiful but we woke up a little late. The time change is 4 hours but it’s so pretty and warm. I always get cabin fever in the winter (I know I can’t be the only one!) so we try to fit at least one family beach trip in to see the sun after Christmas so I’m always stocking up on new swimsuit. Amazon Fashion has so many pretty beachwear options right now. I showed you guys on insta stories this gingham swimsuit a couple days ago and you all voted on the high waisted version but I ended up keeping the regular bikini. Cody liked the regular bikini a little more and I felt like I have been buying a lot of high waisted swim pieces lately so I went with the regular 🙂 I also got this bright orange bikini and love this one piece under $100 (comes in 3 colors – love the Raisin shade!). Also how cute is the bow detail on the back of this one?

Hope you guys are having a good week!
