Happy Tuesday! Which feels like a Monday 🙂 How was your long weekend? It is the first weekend we have been home in awhile and it felt so nice to be lazy and just hang out.

Beckam has never really been a stuffed animal lover. TRUST ME I have tried to push on my childhood love for stuffed animals onto him and he just doesn’t have it lol. I grew up carrying this little bear around with me everywhere. I called him Oso (which means bear in Spanish). We lost him once when I was little, I think at the mall or something, and my Dad had to go find one that looked exactly like him cause I had a meltdown.

So last week when I went to pick Beckam up in Montana (he stayed with my parents while Cody and I were in Europe) he saw this moose in the airport gift shop and yelled MOOSE! Honestly I didn’t even know he knew what a moose was, but I was excited he was eyeing a stuffed animal. I thought it would probably be like every other stuffed animal where he squeezes it for two seconds, puts it back, and goes to play with something else. But he loved this little moose! He squeezed it and wouldn’t let it go. So of course I am getting excited because he’s showing interest in this little animal, so I decided to do the real test: hold up a candy bar and the moose and see which one he picks. EVERY OTHER TIME he’s picked candy, but this time he picked the moose and inside I’m having a little party because he is finally picking a stuffed animal!! I thought for sure the animal would end up like other toys forgotten in a couple days but he has taken the moose around with him everywhere like his blanket, and I love seeing him squeeze and hug that little guy. It’s funny when you are a parent and want your kids to be excited or love the same things you did when you were little.

I wore this outfit to a blogger event they had in Utah last week. I had ordered this top to wear at Create and Cultivate and forgot to pack it. How beautiful are the details on it though? You can’t tell in the pictures but it has the beautiful beaded lining above the satin around the waist. It’s a new designer I found and all her pieces are mixed media. I just ordered this top too and it’s on sale for 40% off.

Who else is ready for summer! Memorial Day weekend always seems like a turning point with summer approaching. Weekend Stripes

Omg is it Friday already? I swear some weeks it feels like Friday will never come and others it sneaks up on you.

I’m all about easy weekend style. I love getting dressed up for a night out with the girls or dinner with Cody, but otherwise I usually keep it pretty simple. I just picked up these jeans and love the distressing. I ordered a size up to get that slim boyfriend fit and love them! Also how pretty is this striped top? It’s perfect to throw on with your jeans and sneakers when you are running errands and never know where you’ll end up. Also love this style and this black and white option both under $70.

Insta Round Up

Spent sooo many hours cleaning out my office and closet last week and it feels so good! I get that spring cleaning bug every so often and this time it was right on schedule. A lot of you were asking about my cell phone case – it’s an Apple case and I just bought these stickers (40% off – under $10) and added it on. They actually pretty much stick to anything, I got these ones too and Mara put them on her backpack. 🙂

Hey guys! Cody and I made it to London! I’m seriously so in love with this city for the little I have seen so far! I’m kind of freaking out about leaving the kids for this long (it will officially be the longest I have been away) but my parents are taking good care of B, and Mara and Wes are with their Mom, so the real question is whether or not I will melt down haha. Thankfully my parents have put up with my 500 messages and constant ask for pics and videos. 🙂 My best friend and I were talking the other day and we were saying how much harder it would have been 20, even 10 years ago to travel without your kids. No Facetime or pictures and few had cell phones, it would be so hard to stay in touch with your family. For that aspect I am so thankful for technology! I am excited to share more of our trip soon! Don’t Risk a Red-Eye Without These Things

Cody and I are heading to Europe tonight! We are so excited but the real fun doesn’t start until we touch down after our 10 hour red-eye. I wanted to share a few essentials to help you survive that seemingly endless flight (and the jet-lagged look the next day).

Travel Style: There’s no replacement for comfort when you spend the night on the plane, so don’t think twice when you reach for soft joggers and sneakers. And you’ll be glad for an extra layer – love this cozy hoodie under $50.
In-Flight Entertainment: Hellooooo wifi! Don’t forget a portable charger to keep your electronics juiced. I always bring a few good reads and headphones for my current playlist. 🙂
Faking a Full Night’s Sleep: For a mid-flight fix, this hydrating facial mist is a great skin pick-me-up. I also love this eye mask (that will be just as handy on the plane as when you sleep off your jet-lag after you get to your destination ;). If you have a full day ahead, don’t forget the fastest cover-up: a good pair of sunglasses! Add a swipe of this concealer (I swear by it) and nobody will guess you’ve just spent the night on a plane.

Shirt Dress Under a $100

I have been looking for a white denim jacket for a while. I found this one (under a $100) and it’s kind of stretchy so it’s really comfortable I love it!

Beckam has started doing this silly booty shake! He will be in the middle of playing and just stop, squat down, start shaking his booty, and get the giggliest laugh and smile. It’s so funny!

Beckam loves loves flowers! Whenever he sees them he puts his arms up and yells: “Mom! Stop! Smell flowa!”

Love the quilted pattern on these slip ons and they are on sale right now under a $100.

It was such a beautiful weekend! We had all the kids this weekend and we were outside almost all day everyday. We BBQ’ed at Cody’s sisters and the kids had a water fight. I found some cheap squirt guns for like $2 and they worked better then the expensive ones! Anything with water: pool, squirt guns, puddles, etc gets the kids so giddy and excited 🙂

I just got this shirt dress (on sale – under a $100) and love it! I’m always a sucker for stripes and I love that the stripes are vertical which elongate your figure and are more flattering. It’s also a classic silhouette that is so easy to wear – pair it with sneakers or slip ons during the day or cute heeled sandals for a date night(also love this denim option). Vince Camuto has a lot of great new arrivals at Macy’s right now. I just got these cute jeans (on sale under $100) and how pretty is this eyelet skirt (also under $100).

5 Healthy & Deliciously Easy Breakfast Recipes

Hey guys! I hope everyone is having a fun weekend. On Sundays I like to lounge around the house with the kids and do a little planning/prepping for the week ahead. I just had to share with you guys a few yummy, healthy, and easy recipes I found on Pinterest for breakfast that you can make for this upcoming week!

PEAR GINGER SMOOTHIE

| Makes: 2 servings |

Ingredients:

1 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
1 cup spinach
1 heaping cup diced frozen pears
1/2 cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon almond butter
honey to taste
1/2 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Here is another green smoothie recipe that is one of my favorites too, something I can just whip together in the mornings or even at night and save in the fridge.

BREAKFAST BANANA SPLIT

| Makes: 1 serving |

Ingredients:

1 banana
1/2 cup of strawberry greek yogurt
1/4 cup of blackberries
1/4 cup of raspberries
1/2 cup granola
mini chocolate chips for garnish

Instructions:

Prepare yogurt:
Place container of yogurt in the freezer until firm, not frozen solid, just scoop-able.
Scoop out two scoops of yogurt and place each scoop in a separate paper muffin liner.
Put back in the freezer until ready to use.
Split banana in half.
Add 2 scoops of frozen yogurt
Add berries, granola and chocolate chips.
Serve immediately.

AVOCADO TOAST

So seriously..all of these avocado toast recipes taste ahhhmazing but I must say my fav is the tomato caprese recipe. Below are the ingredients but I highly recommend you check out all the recipes here.

Ingredients:

1 slice bread (any type but crusty bread works the best), toasted
½ avocado, mashed
handful of grape tomatoes, halved
handful of mozzarella balls/pearls, depending on size halved or left whole
chopped fresh basil
drizzle of olive oil
salt + pepper

STRAWBERRY OATMEAL BARS

|Makes: 9-16 servings (depending how small you cut them)|

Ingredients:

1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
3/4 cup white whole wheat flour
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (or substitute melted coconut oil to make vegan/dairy-free)
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 1/2 small lemon)
1 tablespoon granulated sugar, divided
2 cups, small-diced strawberries (10 ounces)

For the vanilla glaze (optional but delicious, especially if you prefer a sweeter bar):

1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 tablespoon milk (any kind you like)

CHOCOLATE & BANANA CHIA SEED PUDDING

|Makes: 2 servings|

Ingredients:

3/4 cup coconut milk/almond milk/milk
2 Tbsp cocoa powder (unsweetened)
2 Tbsp maple syrup (Use honey/sugar if not vegan)
2 Tbsp chia seeds
2 sliced bananas
Grated dark chocolate-garnish

Instructions:

Add coconut milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup and chia seeds in a bowl and mix well
Cover with a lid and slide in refrigerator for at least three hours or overnight
Serve it in bowl or glass.
Pour half of pudding in a glass and arrange sliced bananas over it.
Repeat this process again.
Grate some extra dark chocolate and serve.
