I am so in love with these sneakers!! I have always been a sneaker girl as much as I love heels. I actually have the burgundy pair too – I wore them in this post.

This was probably one of my favorite Christmas to date! The kids were all so excited and Cody and I decided to keep it really simple with gifts and make things for each other instead. Mara got this chair and B kept trying to steal it so every time she would go sit on it he kept going to give her kisses so he could sit with her. It was pretty cute!

Mio’s doggy daycare and grooming place has the cutest bone shaped pool! They also have hotel rooms for dogs – I’m talking like a queen sized bed with TV’s it’s pretty funny! If your in Utah it’s called Unleashed Dog Hotel 🙂

It’s Christmas week!! The kids are out of school and I’m so excited to take the week off and enjoy doing nothing with the babies. Holidays are in full swing – from warm weekend get aways to road trips to visit family and friends. Trying to keep everything in order while making sure you’ve shopped for everyone on your list can get crazy so below are 5 Holiday Travel Essentials for your Weekend Getaways.

1) Carry on Bag: I just got this new leather carry on bag that is a total life saver. When I’m going on a quick trip I love not having to worry about checking a bag. Cody got this one, I’m so obsessed. I have this thing for weekender bags, and the saddle leather is so pretty! I totally plan on stealing his too! I also love this one.

2) Cozy Scarf: Comfort is an absolute must for me. It always gets a little toasty while you’re lugging your stuff around the airport but the plane is always so cold. Layering is a great way to stay comfortable throughout the flight. Loving this one.

3) Passport Wallet: Traveling with kids can get a little hectic. Even if you aren’t traveling out of the country, passport wallets are awesome for holding boarding passes, travel itineraries and any extra documents flying around in your purse.

4) Oversized Sweater: Again, layering is a must for any plane trip. I’m loving this onethat’s easy to get on and off for layering.

5) Travel Backpack or Cross Body: A no hands needed bag is essential with kids. I keep my essentials in this – charger, lipgloss, etc. I got this JW Hulme red cross body to match my weekender. I love how they pair together!

Christmas is next Friday! Is that insane or what? Maybe it’s just me but it seems like the month has literally flashed before my eyes. I’m still finishing up the wrapping the last couple presents for the kiddos and I’m pretty excited to relax and celebrate the holidays. Cody and I like to have subtle coordination when we go out for holiday parties. Here’s a few quick and easy tips on how to coordinate your holiday outfits without looking too cheesy.

1) Subtle Color Accents: Over doing bright colors like red or green comes off too strong. Try mixing in a burgundy or gold as an alternative to the typical holiday red.

2) Interesting Textiles: Another chic way to coordinate with your hubby or boyfriend without looking too matchy is by mixing in some cool textiles to your outfit. Go for something in the same color scheme. For this look I repeated the color from his tie in my shoes with a suede pump.

3) Dress for the Occasion: Looking like you are both going to the same party is half the battle. Seems like guys like to keep it simple and dress down so encourage your guy to get fancy with you. It’s fun to feel festive together and tell me if I’m wrong there’s something sexy about a guy in a suit 😉

Even with the crisp cold air I love being outside exploring with my little mini. Beckam loves to pick up anything that resembles the shape of a ball. Berries, rocks, anything round he dashes for it! 4 Chic Fashion Forward Gadgets

I heard on the radio yesterday it’s only 15 days until Christmas! I feel like this month has flown by and we have been so busy at work, it hadn’t really hit me! I’m in denial it’s almost here. We have been filling every night with Christmas activities form going to see the lights at Temple Square to building gingerbread houses. I wish this season lasted longer because it really is my favorite time of year. From the fashion to the festivities, I just love seeing the kids so excited every single day with anticipation.

I got this smartwatch a couple weeks ago — the chic style of it is perfect with my everyday outfits. It use to be the case that there wasn’t a lot of overlap between gadgets and fashion. Now I am finding so many cute fashionable gadgets where that are doing double duty! Below are a couple other favorites:

Movado Smartwatch: This smartwatch has gone full chic! I couldn’t even tell this one was a smart watch at first! The Movado Bellina Motion looks like a lot of the typical fashion watches I gravitate towards but is also syncs via Bluetooth to keep track of your sleep and steps.
Phone case+ chain strap: I’m a sucker for cute phone cases, but in most cases they are more decorative than functional. But with this phone case gone crossbody, a gold chain turns your phone case into more than just a case. I’m always setting my phone down somewhere I can’t remember, so I love the idea of adding a chain to make it easier to carry when my hands are full.
Notification bracelet: This bracelet alerts you any time you get an incoming text or call from your smart phone from your chosen contact list. (I’ve gotta see this…)
Tassel charger: Cody and I are always stealing each others chargers and somehow can never find one when we need it most. This key chain tassel also doubles as a phone charger so anywhere your bag or keys go, your charger will follow. I love this pretty grey one.

Vegas Surprise

Last weekend one of my best friends and I decided to surprise our husbands with a 24 hour adult trip to Vegas to race their favorite cars. Cody loves cars, he will sit and read about them all night, watch you tube videos of everything and anything to do with super cars! We made a bucket list when we first got married, and this had been on it so I was really excited to take him!

We rented our cars from a local company in Vegas (Royalty Exotic Cars) and they were so helpful! I know like nothing about cars so I think I literally called like 20 times trying to decide which package and cars we should do lol. We ended up doing the 24 hour rental vs. the 3 hour rental and I’m so glad we did! It would have been so rushed only doing the couple hours. They pick you up in a Rolls Royce from your hotel and take you to the dealership to pick your favorite car. Cody picked the Lamborghini Huracan and our friends picked the Ferrari 458. We raced around the whole day it was such a blast. First we went to the Hoover Dam – I think Cody had us up to 145-150 MPH part of the way it was crazy! The dam was so cool though – I had never been before and it’s only like 20 miles outside of Vegas. After the dam we went the opposite direction to Red Rock Canyon. They have a 15 mile trail you can drive that takes you through the Canyon that’s super pretty.

That night we got dressed up and went to Giada a yummy Italian restaurant that overlooks the Bellagio Fountains and the strip. Their pasta was so yummy! Order the Rigatoni it’s the best! I also got the salmon (do the sampler it’s the best way to try it all) For dessert they bring a cart full of various desserts and you get to pick your three favorites. The raspberry sorbet and chocolate chip cookies were my favorite 🙂

We had booked a bunch of other stuff to do on our trip but literally all the guys wanted to do was drive around! Cody was like a little kid on Christmas morning – just giggly and smiley haha it was so so cute! If your hubs is a car guy this is such a fun gift to do together!

I get just as excited to wrap presents as I do to give them – but I may be the world’s slowest wrapper! Cody always teases me because he will have like 10 presents wrapped and I will still be on my first one trying to make it look pretty with ornament toppers and curling ribbon. Needless to say I’ve started early this year so I’m not up until 2am on Christmas Eve doing a last minute rush. 🙂 Plus being able to shop straight from my computer at home makes it so much easier to not procrastinate.

Ralph Lauren is one of my Mom’s favorite brands so I got her this pretty striped blouse, and this cozy cardigan. I actually bought the blouse for myself too because I love it so much. It’s structured and fits so good! Also this camel wool coat is so beautiful!

Below are a few more gift ideas for everyone in the family. Number two – the red crossbody – is always a safe choice and it’s such a pretty shade of red! And number ten, the booties, I am majorly swooning over! I wish I had a sister I could buy them for 🙂 Also can’t go wrong with a leather duffel for one of the guys on your list, and if I had a girl she would be in twelve!

One of the biggest things I’ve learned about fashion over the years is the importance of investing in your future wardrobe. I love this leather glove – you can get it in a neutral or classic color to be able to wear it with any of your bundled looks for years to come.
Coat: I admit I’ve been on a bit of a coat kick lately, but there are so many different styles that it’s hard to choose just one. I found this cashmere wrap coat and instantly fell in love. It’s so soft and warm and a completely different look from anything else I own. It’s also available in similar styles in camel and black and they are all on sale right now up to 40% off.
Neutral handbag: By the time I had finally saved up for my first investment handbag, I knew exactly what I was looking for: something I could use all day every. 3 Holiday Styling Dilemmas

Dilemma #1: You have a party to attend but it’s cold out! How can you find something that is festive but also warm and cozy?

One of the easiest (and prettiest!) ways to bundle up for a holiday party is with tights. This pair is actually really thick and warm so you don’t have to choose between wearing a dress and staying warm.

A nice coat is always a perfect solution to complete your party look. As tempted as you might be to layer up when it’s cold outside, I always prefer a coat so I don’t feel like you have to undress layer by layer once you start to warm up indoors. Don’t be afraid to side-step the traditional holiday colors either. You can stick to classic neutrals and finish off the look with subtle accessories in festive colors like a deep red lip and coat.

Dilemma #2: You have so many holiday parties to attend this season but you have a tight budget. What’s the most versatile piece you should get and what are different ways to style it?

Scarves are one of the best versatile pieces during the winter, and especially during the holidays. You can wear a scarf paired with a dress or just add it to your casual daily ensemble. I was able to put this whole outfit together (other than the shoes) for under $130. You can also wear your scarf as a poncho by wrapping it with a belt or wrap it around your shoulders as a shawl. I love this plaid scarf (under $10) for the holiday party season – the green and red tones make it a great accessory for holiday parties and since it can be styled in so many different ways you can transform whatever your holiday attire options are.

Dilemma #3: You have a family holiday party to go to and you want to look cute but need your outfit to be kid-friendly. What do you wear?

Whenever we attend holiday parties with a lot of other families and their kids attending, B is always running around a lot more chasing the rest of the kids. If it’s acceptable to wear pants for the dress code, I opt for pants assuming I’ll be bending down a lot and not wanting to deal with that in a dress or skirt. Find a nice tall boot to keep your look dressy and pair it with your festive pieces to make it holiday appropriate. Also loving these Old Navy over the knee boots I got in camel. This black boot is a great option under $60.

These days I get more excited to dress B for holiday parties than dressing myself. I love bow-ties so whenever there is an opportunity for him to wear one, he does. 😉 I love Old Navy’s selection – they have cute shirt and bow-tie sets for kids.
