My sister-in-law got the cutest new puppy and we can never put him down! We keep trying to steal him. 😉 It’s so cute watching him play with Mio – if anything I think Mio is more scared of him than vice versa haha. I got tons of questions when I shared this look on Instagram – my plaid blazer dress is sold out at Zara but this one is really similar and under $100. I’m obsessed with blazer dresses and there are so many great ones right now. This black velvet one is the perfect dress for the holidays. Also love all the pretty plaids we are seeing right now. This navy one is gorgeous and love this one. Below are some more cute plaid and shirt dress pieces to add to your wardrobe:

Holiday Pizza Wreaths
There are so many cute holiday recipes and treats all over Pinterest that during the holidays I actually end up cooking a lot more than usual! The kids get excited about it too so I always try to find quick, easy recipes so our attention spans don’t run out haha. I saw a similar version of this cute pizza wreath and was excited to make it with the kids. It’s super easy (even easier since we like to use the pre-made dough from the store 🙈) and was just as much fun to make as it was to eat. 🙂 Below is the recipe for you guys to try at home!
Roll out dough and place on greased pizza pan. (I just put a little olive oil on a paper towel to grease the pan.)
2. Roll up edges for crust.
3. Use a glass to cut out a circle in the center of the pizza to make it look like a wreath.
4. Add Uniquely J Organic Tomato Basil Sauce and grated mozzarella and parmesan cheese to taste and any other topping you like. We used: fresh basil and spinach leaves (for the wreath leaves), and cherry tomatoes (for the holly/ornaments). Slice red bell pepper into thin slices to create the bow for the wreath.
5. Lightly drizzle Uniquely J Extra Virgin Olive Oil and sprinkle with salt. I love salt on everything. 🙂
6. Bake in the oven at 350° for 12-15 minutes.
7. ENJOY!! Also if you have kiddos I got an extra pack of dough so the kids could make another pizza however they wanted. Mara loves animals so she opted for a kitty-bunny pizza.
Going to the grocery store is one of my least favorite things so I have started ordering some of our groceries online! Uniquely J has food, snacks, cleaning supplies, and food storage. I love being able to order a lot of the necessities online with quick shipping. Below are a few more of their products I’m excited to try:
Who else is ready for Thanksgiving weekend?? We leave tomorrow for Montana so I’m trying to wrap up everything else for work this week so I can truly disconnect. 🙂 I just got this cozy sherpa cardigan which is perfect for holidays at home – it’s so soft! Also the perfect layer for long road trips. 🙂 Can you guys tell I can’t get enough of nudes and blushes this season? Saks is running their big designer sale right now, up to 40% off all the best brands, Chloe, Alexander Wang, Givenchy, Prada, YSL, etc. It’s a great time to get some pretty designer bags or shoes on sale a Holiday treat for yourself 😉 or start your holiday shopping early. I just got this stunning crossbody. I loved the nude suede and leather blush together- so so pretty! And next thing I know my cart is full of nudes and pinks. 🙈 I also got this pretty lace cami and love the feminine vibe layered under a chunky sweater or pretty wool coat. I think this is the first cape coat I’ve owned! I love the silhouette and it’s such a good piece to dress up or down – perfect for the holidays!
They have tons of my favorite designers included in the sale and everything from classic bags (like this satchel I have in multiple colors and sizes) and new styles and designs (obsessed with these boots!) Below are a few more great pieces that are included in the sale:
And here are a few more pretty pinks and nudes I love this season:
Don’t judge me but I’m in full holiday mode! I’ve been trying to be proactive this year and get my Christmas shopping done early. I was roaming through Macy’s trying to find some new towels and they had the cutest holiday home section. It started out with these cute peppermint sticks that caught my eye (the kids love to do hot cocoa bars during the holidays) but then I found like 50 other cute holiday treats and before I knew it my arms were overflowing with cute treats and snacks. Dying over these snowman marshmallows!! I thought it would be cute to make little gift sets for neighbors and some of the people we work with so I kind of went overboard on treats, all the treats were under $20 too! How cute are these cookie mixes? They also had so many cute options for gourmet hot cocoa – obsessed with these festive marshmallows, peppermint stir sticks and sprinkles. Can’t wait to have our hot cocoa party with the kids this year!
Macy’s has already launched their Black Friday sale- below are some of my favorites that you can get for 20% off with code: HURRY through the 25th!
I can’t believe how fast this year is flying! Honestly we already have our tree up and I’m pulling out the rest of our Christmas decorations. I secretly love that we moved in right before the holidays because even though it’s the busiest time of year, nothing makes a house feel more homey like getting ready for the holidays! With so many upcoming events I wanted to share 3 holiday looks from casual to glam.
You can’t go wrong with an off-the-shoulder sweater and I’m obsessed with this one! It’s under $100 and it’s form-fitting so you can tuck it into a holiday skirt or even some cute cargo pants (under $100) for a holiday party or a gift exchange with friends. I actually loved this sweater so much I got it in both black and white. 🙂 These linen pants are super easy to dress up too and a great way to bring in some subtle green – just add heels to pull together a dressy but cozy look.
A jumpsuit is the perfect middle ground for those holiday events that you want to dress up for but where a long dress would be overkill. I love the embellished straps on this one and the plunge neck makes it perfect for those fancy dinners or date nights with your S/O during the holiday season (could also work great as a New Years Eve outfit!). I also love this dress as an option for those in-between dress codes. The faux leather look gives it an edgier vibe to keep your look bordering on casual and dressy.
3. Who doesn’t love a bold red dress for the holidays? I love any excuse to get dressed up and the holidays are chock-full of them. I love the one-shoulder bow detail on this dress and the silhouette is flattering on anyone. Also love this option – how pretty is the embroidered detail! Here are some more of my favorite holiday dress picks.
bebe’s Black Friday sale starts next week so it’s a great time to pick up some pieces for the upcoming festivities. bebe’s running a huge sale for Black Friday. Everything on the site will be 40% off and you get a free gift with purchase. Actually starting today, every day certain items will be on sale from different categories. Today’s sale is 30-50% off select dresses here. Can’t wait to stock up on some goodies for my friends and maybe myself. 😉
Wanted our fall tablescape to feel a little more moody so we went with rich burgundy hues in the florals and candles and warm wood accents like these cute coasters.
He thinks licking things is the funniest thing ever. He always does it try to make us laugh 🙂
This white and mixed metal pitcher was probably my favorite Marshalls buy. Love the mixed metal!
You guys have seen a few sneak peeks along the way as I’ve been putting this together, so I’m excited to share our fall tablescape! I love decorating for the season or upcoming holidays because it always makes a home feel cozier.
Before moving from our old home, I wanted to create a special family dinner as a way to celebrate our time here, the special memories we made, and enjoy our last family meal in this home. Our schedule has been pretty crazy, so we’re always looking for ways to slow down and just enjoy our time together. During our family dinners, we talk about anything and everything from superheroes to the kids’ day at school. While our schedules are busy and sometimes it’s not always easy to make time for these dinners, having sit down family dinners is something my parents always taught me was important and I want to carry that on with our kids.
My parents have always been really good at hosting dinners and making everything feel really festive, so with that in mind I started picking out pieces for our fall tablescape. My first stop was Marshalls and I was excited to find pretty much everything I needed there. I love these pretty ceramic serving bowls and the metal details on this pitcher so they were my foundation for the rest of the settings. They were the perfect pieces to combine gold and coppery/bronze tones in my tablescape! I can never decide between gold and the coppery/bronze tones so I was excited I could tie both metals into the tablescape.
My other favorite find was the candlestick centerpiece – I wanted a moody feel, so I went a little overboard on the candles haha. I also found individual candlesticks to add height variation that created a pretty effect. Whenever I go to Marshalls I always end up finding way more than I was looking for and everything is always at really good price points. I went in with the intention of getting one or two things as a centerpiece, and I left with way too much stuff! You can see more of my fall tablescape later this month on MarshallsOnline.
Have you guys started planning your fall or Thanksgiving tablescape yet? I love the design process so I’m excited to share more home decor posts as we settle into our condo and finish our build!
Been on a major red kick this season – love it with this camel coat!
DETAILS: CAMEL COAT WITH RED ACCENTS | CREAM OFF-THE-SHOULDER SWEATER (UNDER $100) | PEARL DENIM (UNDER $100) | RED CROSSBODY | SUNGLASSES | NUDE HEELS Happy Monday! I’ve been all about the details lately, whether it’s pops of color or embellishments. I’m obsessed with the red contrast on this camel coat. The red accent makes this coat one of a kind and transforms it from a staple coat to more of a statement piece when you pop the collar or flip up the sleeves. This one is at a great price point and love this plaid one and this one. I also love this pom beanie – it’s super soft, comes in 4 colors, and is under $30. These jeans are another great piece and they are under $100. The pearl details are so pretty! This sweater is another great buy under $100 – it’s actually a one-shoulder sweater, but with the wide neck you can also wear it as an off-the-shoulder. Nordstrom has so many great fall pieces right now and I always love the budget-friendly finds there. Below are some more great pieces under $100:
And other amazing coats I’m loving from Nordstrom:
By now, most of you probably know I grew up a serious tomboy, loved sports, and was convinced I was going to be the first woman quarterback in the NFL. I grew up watching football with my family every Sunday after church. My family loved to have people over so it was always an event with my cousins or friends. To be honest, we grew up huge Seahawk fans, so they are probably disowning me after reading this post and seeing me in my Patriots gear 🙂 but Cody is a big Tom Brady fan so I supposed both. 🙂 Now that Beckam is getting old enough to want to throw the “baseball” outside (he keeps confusing baseballs and footballs 😉 it’s becoming a family affair. Watching the big game is always a great way to bring friends and family together, so I wanted to share a few things you need for hosting a game-day at your place!
1. Team Pride! Go Patriots! (Unless they are playing the Seahawks 😉 Donning your fan gear immediately gets you in the spirit! Macy’s has this collection of game-day pieces by Alyssa Milano and I’m obsessed with the vintage looking sweaters! Usually fan apparel means oversized graphic tees or jerseys, so I love that this NFL collection has these more feminine stylish options to support my teams!
2. An abundance of food. Most football games run over 3 hours so you’ll definitely want to make sure you have plenty of options for people to snack on. My stepmom’s cheeseball recipe is my favorite plus it’s super quick and easy. You can also stagger some snacks (or even pizza delivery) for a good half-time break.
3. The Pregame. Half the fun of a football viewing party is the pregame (hello tailgating!). Play a pick-up game of football outside before the game to get your energy pumping or board games with friends!
4. Good friends. What’s a football game without someone to watch it with? Invite your friends over to cheer with you and your team (or even better – friends that are cheering for the opposite team to bring that competitive spirit to life ;).
5. Lose yourself in the game. Disconnect from your phone while they game is on and have fun cheering with your S/O!
Below are a few more great game-day pieces or you can also shop the collection here or here. Which team are you guys rooting for?
Obsessed with this trench! It’s reversible so you can wear it with pretty much everything!
It’s hard to see in the pics but the detailing on the heel of this bootie is so pretty! It has a gorgeous delicate beading around the top of the block heel!
We have been so spoiled here in Utah with a really warm fall, but this week it’s been so cold this week (technically freezing this morning!) and I’m already over the cold.. Anyone else already thinking about planning a trip somewhere warm? I’m not ready for all the colorful leaves to disappear either! It’s my favorite part of fall. While I was shooting this the leaf-blowing truck pulled up and started blowing all the leaves away from the street – I didn’t know know that was a thing haha but apparently they have to do it every day during the fall since there are so many leaves falling. So it’s crazy to think all these leaves are just from ONE DAY!
You guys may recognize this look from when I shared it a couple weeks ago on Instagram, but honestly pics don’t do the pieces justice. They are an investment but all of the pieces have so much detail – they are amazing in real life. I discovered Fabiana Fillipi last year. Remember this outfit? I fell in love with their collection and they quickly became some of my favorite designers. This top is probably my favorite. I love the combination collar and it’s so simple but really high quality so it can transform any outfit you pair it with. Also love the beaded hem on this trouser. It’s crazy what a difference little details make but they really do! This trench is super softer and also reversible, with a grey or camel option – so pretty. Also obsessed with the detailing on this coat. Below are some more of my favorites!

6 Things I’ve Learned From My Mother-In-Law
When Cody and I started dating, I moved to Utah where all of his family is from. I’m an only child so I loved getting to marry into Cody’s huge family! I know sometimes mothers-in-law get a bad rap, but I love Cody’s mom and am thankful for how sweet and supportive she is! I’ve learned a lot from her and today I wanted to share 6 things my mother-in-law has taught me:
Lesson 1. Laugh at yourself, and don’t take things too seriously. Her boys are always playing jokes and pranks on each other and that attitude, to be quick to laugh, is so contagious!
Lesson 2. Family is everything. She has 8 kids. 8!! She’s a great example of how to put first things first – and number one is always family. She is always making sure everyone gets together and she looks forward to family time more than anything!
Lesson 3. How to make the best homemade cinnamon rolls. Ok well I haven’t totally mastered it yet, but she taught Cody how to make them so I still get to reap the benefits! Her cinnamon rolls are magic and she makes them on special family occasions, but always every Christmas morning.
Lesson 4. Don’t be afraid to say what you want or speak your mind. Luedeen is never afraid to speak her mind, and I love that about her!
Lesson 5. Start your Christmas shopping early! She has over 40 people in the family (just kids and grandkids – not including extended family) and she buys gifts for every single one of them. Her secret is to start months in advance so when the holidays come around, she can really enjoy time with the family instead of stressing about gifts. It’s such a great idea, so even though I’m a procrastinator at heart I try to follow her lead. I love browsing the aisles to find the best stocking stuffers. I always end up grabbing this Burt’s Bees Essentials Kit at Walmart – everyone always needs travel sized everything. The hand salve is a life saver, and you can never have enough chapsticks! We also bet foot massages on pretty much everything, so the foot cream comes in handy too. 😜 (Also with the chaos of the holidays it’s sometimes easier to pick up whatever you need for your holiday shopping online.)
Lesson 6. Gift bags are your best friend. When you are getting gifts for lots of people, you can save a lot of time by using (and reusing) gift bags instead of taking time to individually wrap everything.
