It’s no secret I love distressed denim. Honestly, I probably own more jeans with holes in them than I do without. Although I typically opt for designer denim (not because of the label – they just seem to fit better), every once in a while I come across an amazing pair at a lower price point. This pair was one of those finds. They are really stretchy (which I love!), distressed (a no brainer!), and have a great frayed detail at the ankles. I like them because they are a little more cropped than my typical jean, which I prefer when wearing flats. This style comes in a few different colors – I just ordered these, but they also come in regular blue denim and grey. They do run a bit small, so I suggest sizing up 🙂 Also if you are a looking for a casual weekend tee (you can never have too many) I am in love with these stem tops. I have them in a couple colors and they great for everyday outfits.I am off to Seattle tomorrow to spend the day with Nordstrom Rack. Follow along on Snapchat (@hellfashblog) and Instagram (@hellofashionblog). Have a great weekend! Also don’t forget to check out Hello His for this week’s new posts!

DETAILS:  J’ADORE BY DIOR //  STRIPE BODYCON DRESS (WORN AS A TOP)// ORGANZA TULLE SKIRT (SIZE 4) // NUDE PATENT HEELS (LOVE THESE UNDER $150)

The hunt for the perfect perfume – the one that reminds you of you – can be a long one. So when you find your fragrance, you stick to it. For me, it’s J’Adore by Dior. It’s been my favorite perfume for years. The scent is fresh but classic and feminine. It’s known as Dior’s glamorous, modern scent for the confident girl who celebrate’s femininity. To me this girly skirt embodies that scent.  The white and nude palette is classic and timeless, in a glamorous silhouette. And is there anything that celebrates femininity more than a full tulle skirt? I love that J’adore is a way to bring that feeling of feminine luxury with you everyday, no matter what you are wearing.

I still mix up my fragrances to keep my signature scent from becoming too mundane or, like that song you used to love on the radio, but is now ‘over-played’. I’m a big fan of Viktor & Rolf’s Flower Bomb, and this Chanel scent. I also just picked up this new one a couple weeks ago to add to the mix and love it.

Have you found your signature scent yet? What are some of your favorites?

DETAILS:
BIORE STRIPS || BLUE SWEATER || DISTRESSED DENIM (SIMILAR) || SILVER WATCH || BATH TOYS

Anyone that knows me knows I’m a picker. If I see a bump on myself or my family, I immediately reach over to pick it. Needless to say, it drives them crazy. At night when we are getting ready for bed my husband always makes me go up 20 minutes before him because he knows I’ll spend 15 minutes in the bathroom after I brush my teeth inspecting my face for any sign of pore or blemish that I could pick (so gross, I know!). That’s why I love the Bioré Strips. I’ll throw on a Strip while I’m getting B ready for the day and voilà my pores are clean and my skin is smooth.

I’ve been a fan of the Classic Strips since high school. (Who hasn’t!) Pulling them off is always my favorite part. It’s weirdly satisfying seeing all the gunk it pulls out. Total guilty pleasure! They just came out with the new Bioré Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips which are made with natural charcoal to absorb oil and reduce shine. They are amazing!

Are you a fan of the Bioré Strips too? Bioré has teamed up with Brittany Snow to create the “Strip with Bioré” challenge. Join the challenge by posting a picture of yourself using either the Classic or new Charcoal Strips on Twitter or Instagram with hashtags #stripwithbiore and #sweeps. Then tag three friends in your post for a chance to win a trip to LA to walk the red carpet with Brittany Snow herself! (You can check out the funny things she likes to do in 10 minutes as she takes the challenge and full entry details here.)

Alright – out with it! What are some of your biggest beauty offenses?

CODY: NAVY JACKET || WHITE HENLEY || BELT || GREY PANTS || CANVAS SNEAKERS (COLOR: CHAMBRAY BLUE/NAVY)

BECKAM: BLUE SWEATSHIRT || DENIM || SHOES (SIMILAR STRIPE STYLE)

Weekends are Cody’s cheat days so we always make our way to some sort of dessert spot. This weekend we went to Bruges Waffles. They make waffles into the tastiest desserts piled with whip cream, strawberries, and chocolate.

Today’s look is all about neutrals. Neutrals are the basis of any wardrobe – they mix and match with everything. One of the most elegant combinations is neutrals paired together – especially in spring tones (think white, tan, beige, grey, and/or blush). When you wear the palette head to toe, they blend and accent off other shades. I’m obsessed with this beige cardigan I picked up a couple weeks ago. It’s so soft and matches everything. Complete your all neutral look with neutral accessories (loving this tan leather watch) and a soft nail color (loving this blush color) for a timeless, understated, classic look.

Today’s look is one of those fail-safe combos that should always be on back up for those mornings when you hit your snooze button one too many times. The go to: a blazer and pencil dress (I’ve been wearing these on repeat lately!). Combined in neutrals and navy (loving this blazer!), it’s a 9 to 5 no brainer and one that is easy to throw together as you rush out the door to work.

A boyfriend tee (this one under $10) is one of the easiest pieces to reach for, whether you are running errands during the day or heading out for the night. So when it comes to date night I am all for transitioning a boyfriend tee by dressing it up with a few accessories. After a quick swap of sneakers for stilettos  (I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – you’ll never regret keeping a pair of heels in your car to be prepared for any occasion!) and throwing on a necklace (love this dainty one)  or scarf – voila! You are ready for your casual date night.

Above are two of my looks from Fashion Week. Although very opposite, there are two classic silhouettes that stand out when I think of the word feminine and they couldn’t be more different. One is the classic pencil dress or skirt and the other is princess style (think pinks and tulle). Whether your style is more girly or sophisticated, both of these pieces are a great way to wear a feminine look without straying from your comfort zone.

Now truth moment, did I really brave the freezing New York temperatures in bare legs: Yes. And if you are wondering if I regret it: yup, sure do. 😛 I don’t know where my head was when I was packing. I got the coat part fine, but completely forgot about the legs! Next time I’m going to pretend like I’m headed to the Arctic! Hope you all are having a good week!

Hey guys! Hope you all had a nice long weekend. Feels so good to be home from New York! It was my first time away from B and I was going a little crazy with out him 🙂

I wore this to a Cynthia Rowley event on Friday. I actually switched out my coat last minute for this pink fur because I was freeezing! I didn’t pack the most “weather appropriate” to say the least! I’ve mentioned it before in previous outfits, but Cynthia Rowley’s bonded pieces are by far the most comfortable pieces I own. She has always been one of my favorite designers. The scuba like material feels like you are in sweats but they are structured enough to give your body the perfect form. I also picked up this dress (color: light pink) in New York and I’m obsessed. More to come from my trip later this week! Thanks for reading!

BECKAM: STRIPED TEE (ON SALE – COLOR: BLUE STRIPE) || BABY BOYFRIEND JEANS (ON SALE UNDER $10) || SNEAKERS

When it comes to casual looks, you can never have too many oversized comfy pieces. I have always loved the fit of a boyfriend tee. One of my (not-so-secret) secrets is to steal from the boys.  I used to consistently steal Cody’s shirts, but I’ve finally just started picking up my own in smaller sizes so they fit a little better. Men’s shirts are typically longer so it’s perfect for the half tuck look. A lot of times they are cheaper too, and you can’t say no to saving a few bucks 🙂 I actually picked myself up a small in the stripped shirt Cody has on today under his sweater. The sleeves can sometimes look a little boxy on short sleeve men’s shirts so try cuffing or rolling them. I also try and pair it with a feminine piece like a bright scarf or girly colored tote. I’m in love with this blush pink one I got for under $40.

Old Navy is running their huge baby and kids sale. Well all departments are up to 50% off but kids and baby start at five bucks. Both his tee and jeans from today’s post are on sale under $10. Confession I didn’t realize they were actually girl’s jeans until they came in the mail but you really can’t tell the difference and I love the color of the wash. I just got B this cute navy gingham shirt for under $10, this stripe hoodie with the little bear ears, and this dress shirt-bow tie combo I’m really excited for. The white henley he wore in my birthday post last week (which is one of my favorite shirts I have bought for him) is only $6. I ended up ordering two other colors because I loved it so much.

If you shop the sale online you get an extra 20% off sale prices (so up to 70% off). To see more of Beckam and Cody’s outfits visit Hello His here.

How to Stick to Your Fitness Goals

misguided activewearmisguided_hooded_sweatshirtbeckam and christine arizonabeckam hello fashionwork out clothes hello fashionmissguided activewearneon jogger outfit misguidedDETAILS:

BECKAM:  CAMO SNEAKERS || BLUE SWEATSHIRT

Today I am excited to share another part in my fitness series on getting healthy. We’ve all hit those obstacles and excuses when trying to live a more active lifestyle, but I’ve found a few things that help keep me motivated:

1. Get dressed. You know that feeling you get when you are about to walk out the door in an outfit you are already disappointed in? That’s no way to start your day and it’s certainly no way to start your workout. Invest in some active wear options that make you excited to get dressed.

I like to pick a color scheme and get four or five pieces I can mix and match for different activities. You can see from the pictures above how easily the pieces can be mixed: Cropped joggers, neon coral sports bra (also ordered in mint), comfortable hoodie (strings match joggers and sports bra), tight capri leggings, and a white cut off.  These cropped joggers are my favorite. I’ve worn my long ones on repeat this winter and was excited to find a cute cropped pair. After the sports bra is on (how cute are these) you are much more likely to hit the pavement when your excited about what you are wearing.

2.   Make time. When you express interest in exercising, people are always quick to suggest what works for them. And that’s great – for them. You know your schedule better than anyone so carve out your own routines and stick to them. If you can, find a workout partner to commit to the same time to stop you from bailing. If your working full time, a mom, or both even that can be challenging. One of my good friends and I commit to getting a certain routine done sometime during the day. Wether it be sit ups or lunges from home, we text each other to hold each other accountable.

3.  Love it. Work up a sweat doing something you love. Don’t give up just because you haven’t found your niche yet or don’t like going to the gym. Focus on your heart rate – not pounds. That opens up a world of options, from dancing around your house to summiting the closest peak. We love hiking and going for walks. With kids and dog we are outside as much as the weather permits. Just work on finding something that gets you excited to be active like a color run with your besties or a hike to a cool scenic spot you’ve heard about.

4.  Treat Yo’ Self. Reward yourself for hitting both small and large goals. Pick a reward that correlates with your hard work. It could be a mani-pedi with your work out partner, or a massage to loosen up those muscles after a hard week at the gym.

How do you stick to your fitness goals?

XOX,
Christine
