Lost in the Desert with Tommy

The bright colors on this jacket make me so happy….and its the coziest ever!

Love seeing the world through his eyes ❤️

This is one of my favorite shots just from my iPhone – I love all the lines and dimension.

Obsessed with the hiker boot trend – love the red laces on these!

Getting lost isn’t so bad when I’m with him 😉

MY OUTFIT DETAILS:  TOMMY HILFIGER COAT | JEANS| BOOTS |
CODY’S OUTFIT DETAILS:  T-SHIRT | COAT | JEANS |

So excited to share this Tommy Hilfiger campaign we shot a couple weeks ago in St. George. They just launched their new fall collection at Bloomingdales and have so many cute pieces!! This coat is seriously so warm and cozy…I’m obsessed!

I have been dying to go back to the red rock and mountains for a road trip. We went a couple years ago and it was so hot and miserable to hike so this time around it was perfect weather for exploring. We had the best time exploring with Cody’s family…we hiked and climbed and went through caves and these cute hiking boots definitely came in handy! 😉

Catch up with Christine Series

christine and beckam Andrew

Happy Halloween Weekend!  I am so excited to share my first “Catch up with Christine” Q&A today.  Ps you guys voted on the name and this is what won!  I wanted to create this hang out time to share more, answer commonly asked questions, and get more personal with you all. I am going  to post this Catch Up series every weekend, it will be a Friday or a Sunday post. So be sure to look for it every weekend! There were soooo many great questions to pick from.  If I wasn’t able to get to your question this week, please ask again next week or leave in comments below! Love you all!

Favorite foundation and concealer?
I use Lancome 24 hr long wear foundation right now. For concealers I like this Nars one, and I actually got this drugstore one in the mail a few weeks ago and have been loving it! It’s super light it and not too heavy and cakey.

Also My friend Jill (@jillmariemakeup) did my makeup the other day and she used this 2 in 1 foundation & concealer from….Walmart!!! I seriously love it and couldn’t believe the amazing drugstore price! (Under $10!!!)

How did Hello Fashion start? What is the story?
This question was asked a lot so I am going to do a full blog post on this!  The short story is….I was rejected from fashion school and really wanted a way to still showcase the things I am passionate about. Cody and I had just gotten married and I was working as a manager at Aldo shoes in the mall, but I always knew I wanted my own business at some point.   So on the side I started ILY Couture (my clothing line) which is now ShopHelloFashion. I wanted a way to show some of the stuff we were selling, and I loved finding stuff on sale so I started my blog for fun to just write about sales finds and show pieces from our shop. I never thought it would lead to what it is now!

How long did it take you to build up your brand to the extent it is today?
It will be 7 years in December since I started…its so crazy to think that I have been blogging this long! The first year to year and a half I didn’t post a ton, maybe once a week, but around year two I started making my content a lot more consistent.  Once I became consistent it grew and took off from there!  I have an E-Book that talks more about this and has lots of tips on growing your platform!

how to grow your instagram

Favorite date night ideas?
Cody and I would have different answers for this for sure!  For me it’s nothing crazy, we are so busy during the week and work together a lot,  I honestly love finding a good series and getting cozy and watching our favorite show at home. I do love doing random adventurous things together…the other night on a whim we made a list of things and did a picture scavenger hunt at the mall and that was so much fun!  Cody would definitely say something adventurous and is all about things that aren’t routine.

Do you ever fear an expensive purchase will go out of style quickly?
No, I used to think about it more a couple years ago but now I feel like there are so many opportunities for people to resell stuff. I think if you take care of the item, especially handbags you can always re-sell for a good amount back. Bags hold their value pretty well!  I remember when I bought my first Celine bag Cody thought I was crazy. I remember setting a goal and saving up for it as my first big purchase and I still have it today years later.  I did a post about investing in handbags here!

Pros & cons about traveling while having kiddos?
Pros- Especially with our older kids is definitely that on trips with just our family its fun for us to be their friends and experience new things with them. At home and on trips with family they are always focused on their friends or cousins, so on trips with just us its nice to have their full attention and make fun memories! And when things go wrong… like coming off a an international  flight and the hotel not having our room so we were hotel-less for 24 hours, sucks at the time but always makes for the best memories in the long run:)

blended family lifestyle blogger

Cons- Everything takes a little longer…packing…activities on the trip, etc!  I think its important to have a balance of both traveling with kids and without. Cody and I did an adult trip this year and that time away together was so special. I think it’s important to have alone time but its also so special to have that family time.

Do you wear hair extensions?
Yes I have worn extensions for the last 4 years. After I had Beckam I lost so much hair, it would come out in big wads! So I got extensions as my hair grew back and now I just love them to keep the fullness. I have a beaded sewn weft – I used to have 2 rows and now its just one row for fullness. My friend Tatum does my hair she has been doing it for like 4 -5 years she is amazing.

What’s your favorite food?
I love Mexican food!  But I feel like that’s such a typical response….so, some random favorites are – green bean casserole and chickpeas with ranch dressing! haha I also LOVE pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon rolls.

How do you edit your pics?
With my Hello Fashion Lightroom presets – you can get them HERE! All you need is the free Lightroom mobile app and then you purchase my presets and import them into Lightroom. I am about to launch a couple of new ones soon too! Also if you have questions about installing here is a quick youtube video on my channel here

Your messy bun is always on point!! Tutorial?
Aww thanks! I have a dated video on my youtube – so here is a good start if you haven’t seen it. I am going to make a new one soon so stay tuned!  I look back on this video and my makeup is a little intense!! LOL

Did you go to college?
Yes – I graduated with my Bachelors in Fine Arts with a minor in Business

Where did you grow up?
I have lived all over!  I was born in Bogota, Colombia and I lived in Washington DC, Port Angeles, WA (everyone knows that from Twilight!) and then went to high school in Montana.

Do you always have a photographer take your photos? Even the ones at your house are so pretty!
No not at all! 90% of my shots are shot by someone in my family (Cody, one of the kids, my parents, sister in laws, etc) or someone that works with me.  For bigger campaigns and brand shoots sometimes we have a photographer but I always edit my own pictures now to keep a cohesive feed.

I’m looking to purchase my first designer bag…thoughts on which to purchase?
I would say the bag I wear and use the most is my Givenchy – I love both sizes . The bags that hold their value the most are Chanel for sure so it really comes down to personal preference 🙂

hello fashion blog givenchy

How old are you?!
32 – does anyone else forget their age sometimes and when people ask you you have to stop and think about it for a second haha, I feel like this more so happens the older you get 😉

Can we be friends?! But really, will you do a meet up or something here in Utah?
Awww these type of messages make me so happy!  We did the blogger sale a couple weeks ago and had such a great turnout. We will for sure do something again soon!  I have the best followers and love getting to know you guys!! Speaking of which if you see us out and about please always say hi! I love meeting you guys and taking a pic together!

I’m so sorry if I didn’t get to your question this week!  I’m so excited to answer more next week! Also this isn’t a questions – but Pottery Barn Kids, and West Elm are both running 25% off site wide ending today. I just ordered a bunch of cute kids Christmas stuff! So if you want to save a little – enjoy some lazy day Sunday shopping 😉

Quality Staples for an Easy, Effortless Look

Who else loves all the pumpkins at Trader Joe’s?!

Trunk is loaded…time to decorate the front porch!

This black dress is seriously so comfy…such a good staple for your closet. And on sale!

DETAILS: TURTLENECK DRESS| FAUX FUR COAT| BOOTS| BAG

Decorating for fall is one of my favorite things ever! Well holiday decorating in general! We love going to the pumpkin patch as a family multiple times each year, but sometimes it’s easier just to hit up the grocery store when you’re anxious to make your front porch feel extra festive!  I think everyone can agree that 😉 I stopped by TJ’s the other day after work and loaded my trunk with pumpkins. They have the best pumpkin selection and pumpkin flavored everything 😉

I have been really drawn to all black looks lately. I feel like the older I get the more I opt for classic pieces I can wear multiple seasons.. The outfit might look “fancier”, but keeping it all black and simple made is so easy and effortless to get ready! This comfy black dress, black bag and boots are quality staples that I know I will wear over and over. Just add a big cozy jacket to it and you are set for a chilly day! This coat is probably the softest thing I own, it’s faux fur which makes me really happy too 😉

Saks Fifth Avenue is having their major Gift Card Event!  From now until 10/26 you can earn a Saks gift card up to $700 (including beauty!) Just use the code OCT18. It’s the perfect time to stock up on some new staples and get gift cards in return for your next purchase!

Which easy everyday staples do you need to freshen up your wardrobe for fall? Would love to hear!

House Update

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a house update on the blog! I’m always sharing updates on Instagram, but thought it was long overdue to put share some updates here 🙂

home update

Now all our flooring is covered while they work on the other parts of the house. This is our living room (and partial dining room) view. One of the things we really stressed when we were designing this house was we wanted as much natural light as possible. Cody and I both love windows and the energy of a bright space so we maximized as much windows as possible.

white cabinets

Kitchen Views – we wanted lots of open shelving

kitchen windows

kitchen

Last weekend was the first time I’ve noticed this angle, and I’m so in love with all the windows you see from here.

lockers

They are about 75% done with cabinets. These are the lockers for the kids backpacks and coats when you come in from the garage. That is one of my biggest pet peeves right now we have a really small closet at our rental, and when the kids come home from school everything just gets thrown at our entry way especially during the winter with coats, so I am really excited about these with lots of storage so we don’t have that mess.

cabinets

This is going to be my little home office! Obsessed with the skinny herringbone we did in here 😍

Downstairs family room – before we added the tile benches.

accent tile

black and white tile

These tile benches are one of my favorite details of the whole house! They look down to the sports court area on the lower level. Im so excited to put cute pillows on them! A bunch of you were asking about tile details. They are handmade ceramic tiles. I got them here.

windows

There are so many details I would have never noticed before building, but now I get excited about every little thing. I love all the lines with the window surroundings and trim.

home construction

We are doing a wood tile in our master bathroom. Can you guys tell how much I love Herringbone 🙂

flooring details

A peak at our shower flooring next to our wood tile floors. How pretty are these little 1×1’s from Bedrosians.

laundry room tile

My flash kind of made the color blues seem really different in the pic above (with flash) and below (no flash) but I wanted a pop of color somewhere, and love this tile we’re putting down in our laundry room. It’s the prettiest blue!

tile floor

So right now we are hoping, REALLY HOPING, to make it in before Christmas. Cody thinks it will be Valentines Day and I’m praying for Christmas haha so we will see. Fingers Crossed! I’m REALLY excited for the space and what it will be, but I also don’t want to sugar coat it and act like it hasn’t been stressful, that Cody and I haven’t fought about decisions along the way, or had hiccups in this whole process. I think honestly I just had no idea how many little decisions went into this process. Also I am a crazy detail oriented person when it comes to even the smallest details on how I want something to look. If I could give any piece of advice I would say if you have never built a home (this is our first time and we had zero experience) and are doing everything 100% custom, realize it is 100% a part time to full time job. I think if we were to do it over, I almost wish we would have done one of the subdivision homes where they only give you limited amount of options so I could learn the process for my first time, and then do 100% custom the second time around where I know more about the details and how long things take. I know we will love the home so much once its done. I want it to be a place the kids have so many memories of and consider the “house they grew up in”. My family was in town a couple weeks ago and my parents pulled up the house I grew up in in elementary/middle school in Washington, and I had soooo many memories. I can’t wait to make this that special place with the kids.

I’ll be better at posting more updates a long the way now as we reach the home stretch – is there anything else specific you guys want to see?

DETAILS: DRESS (UNDER $20!) | LEOPARD HEELS

CODY: SUIT JACKET | SUIT PANTS | WHITE SHIRT | SHOES | BELT | WATCH | SUNGLASSES

BECKAM: SUIT | WHITE SHIRT | SHOES

A few weeks ago,  we got to celebrate one of my best friends on her most special wedding day!! Whitney started working with me five years ago, and she became like family. Her big day couldn’t have been more magical. Her wedding was up in the mountains at the prettiest lodge in Utah. The ceremony was outdoors and then there was a beautiful dinner inside. The decorations and flowers were so stunning!! I was dying over all the little details. She has such an amazing creative eye and it was so cool seeing all her hard work come to life! She looked so beautiful!! And can we talk about her veil and the fresh flowers she had in it?! So beautiful!

I got a lot of questions about what we wore to the event, and I had just got home from fashion week so I ran to the mall a couple hours before the wedding to find a dress! I saw this and didn’t even look at price and when I went to check out It was under $20!!! I was shocked! and is perfect for any special occasion you have coming up. Beckam’s suit is currently sold out in the color he’s wearing, but I just ordered another one in a different color here!

The Only Two Lipsticks I Need This Fall

christine andrew

Obsessed with this dark berry color for fall!

hello fashion blog

lancome lipsticks

fall makeup

I seriously think this lipstick shade is the most perfect nude!

my makeup essentials

LIPSTICK:  NUDE (Shade 510- Ardent Sand) | BERRY (Shade 417 – Berry Intense)

Ok let’s be honest I love lipstick so much, I won’t be living off two shades all season 😉 BUT if the world came crashing down, beauty stores were closing, and I had only two shades to take with me it would be these. 1. This timeless matte nude and 2. This bold berry color. The nude is has been my go to for day to day mom life on the go, or for a night out if you are going more dramatic on your eye shadow. The bold berry is the perfect hue to tie in all things fall and make a statement with a bold lip paired with your favorite cozy sweater or date night dress.  It’s such an easy, simple way to update your look without having to change your outfit. Also I love Lancome’s lipsticks because they don’t dry out your lips.

Also one of my favorite influencers, Camila Coelho, just launched a collection with them and the top of the lipsticks are in the shape of lips. They are SOO cute. I’m so excited to mix these into my looks.

What do you guys think of these colors?  Which do you prefer — the classic nude or the bold berry?

My Favorite Month of the Year

How amazing are the trees in Utah in the fall?! Seriously obsessed!

My new favorite jacket! The sleeves make it so much cozier than a normal jean jacket.

If you’re looking for white boots – love the texture on these and they are on sale right now!

Love my little explorer 🙂

OUTFIT DETAILS: SWEATER | JEANS | JACKET | BOOTS |

October is finally here!!! My favorite time of the year for so many reasons.  In Utah the trees are the prettiest colors ever! We go on drives through the mountains for no reason, with no destination in mind. Cody got a new old school car that can go up in the mountains, or on rough trails so we went up the canyon and found the most gorgeous trails and trees. The temperature is finally not too warm, we get to pull out all of the cozy sweaters (yay for #sweaterweather!!) and boots I picked out this jean jacket that I am obsessed with – I love that it isn’t the basic jean jacket and has the faux fur sleeves and collar. It goes perfectly with my favorite new white boots!  This amazing sweater will also be on repeat…it’s seriously so so soft.

Saks is having one of my favorite events of the year!  Their Friends & Family event is such a good one because you get 25% off clothing, shoes and accessories and 20% off jewelry! You can also shop beauty & fragrance 10% off with code SAKSFF18 through 10/5!

Fall clothes and fall weather make me so happy!  What’s your favorite month of the year?

Hello Fashion Blog
Mom Life
Kendra Scott Jewelery
Beckam Andrew

Guys I am so excited to share this collection with you! I don’t know if you remember a a couple months ago the Kendra Scott team flew out to shoot this project and video. And it’s finally here I can share with you! My favorite jewelry has always been the pieces that hold a special meaning. They are the ones that always get the most wear. These beautiful charms are so special to me because they represent so many important things in my life.

The most important role in my life is being a mom.  I am so blessed to not only be a mom Beckam, but a step mom to my older kids Mara & Wes (sadly not pictured here, they were with their mom that weekend). My kids are my whole world. Because of this, my first pick on the charms that I knew I needed was the “Mothers and Families” charm, the “Children” charm and of course the charms with the kids’ initials on them!  I love so much that for the “Mothers and Families” charm, Kendra Scott will donate a portion of the proceeds to help mothers and families when they need it most. For the “Children” charm, she will donate a portion to organizations that support happy, healthy lives for children. Giving back has always been so important to me, so I love that these charms can not only represent my family but something important to our family as well.

I loved the look of the “Pearl Sunburst” and “Large Spike” paired together. Combining the wisdom and confidence charm that represents being a force of your own, represent my passion and love for my career, aka YOU GUYS!  Being an entrepreneur and starting my own business has taught me so many lessons over the years, and helped me gain confidence about believing in my dreams and pushing myself to succeed.

I love how classic and  timeless the collection is, it will never go out of style. The charms are also interchangeable. So you can easily mix and match with what you want to wear for the day.

Which charms are you going to fill your bracelet or necklace with? Share your favorites in the comments, I would love to hear!
