These Budget Friendly Spring Decor Finds Will Have You Craving a Home Makeover

HAPPY SPRING! I have been dying over all the cute decor finds this spring! I wanted to share some of my favorites if you guys are on the hunt for a spring refresher. These are all at great price points too. You guys know how much I love neutrals for decor – the pieces are easier to transition between seasons so you get more use out of all of them.

One of my favorite ways to switch up a space it with the linens – pillows, throw blankets, rugs, etc. Love the pretty stripes on this pillow and this throw blanket looks so cozy! Major sale alert – this rug is 45% and under $100 and has almost 5 stars. Love the blush and grey combo but it’s also subtle enough that it could work in multiple spaces. I love olive trees but good quality ones can be really expensive so I was shocked at the price on this one – also love this plant version here.

Kids Easter Basket Ideas for All Ages

I can’t believe Easter is less than 2 weeks away!! I’ve been working on putting together our family easter outfits (one of my favorite traditions every year!) and brainstorming ideas for the kids’ Easter baskets and wanted to share what I’ve come up with so far it it helps you guys pull your baskets together 🙂 Here’s a break down of Easter basket ideas by age.

TEEN GIRL EASTER BASKET IDEAS:

Maybe it’s because I’m a girl and I can relate but I always have to reign it in for Mara’s Easter basket – I could buy it all haha. I found this bath bomb Ferris Wheel set and am obsessed! Such a cute gift set, either for Easter or any upcoming gift opportunities. You also can’t go wrong with jewelry. Pura Vida is one of Maras favorite brands right now,  and Mara actually prefers silver over gold which seems like a trend for her age so I know she’ll love this necklace. Easter’s also the perfect chance to get some fun water/sun pieces to get them excited for the summer – how cute is this tie-dye tube for the pool!?

TEEN BOY EASTER BASKET IDEAS:

Wes is at that age where he’s starting to get more into name brands and accessories but he also still loves toys (I got this for Beckams birthday and Wes loved it – especially the one with 25 surprises – so I want to get that for him this year.) This sweatshirt is one of his favorite brands and you can’t go wrong with Vans (I always go for sandals since they’ll get so much use during the summer).  He also asked for one of these water bottles that Cody and I have – it comes in tons of different colors which made me think I should get one for everyone in the family (also a great price point!).

BOY EASTER BASKET IDEAS:

Beckam still believes in the Easter Bunny and it honestly makes Easter that much more exciting for me. 🥰  Of course he’s at the age where he’s all about the toys – this one comes with tons of surprises which is like kryptonite for kids his age haha. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. He also loves these water balloons since they don’t require any tying and he doesn’t need any help with them. (Which also means I should be braced for surprise water balloon attacks but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it haha).  Also love this alphabet chalk set as something to do as a family and how cute is this wooden mini-golf set!?

TODDLER EASTER BASKET IDEAS

Ollie always gets some practical pieces mixed in with some fun toys. We’ve been on the hunt for some toddler dining pieces and I found this utensil set that comes in tons of colors and gets amazing reviews. Also love this cute silicone animal plate! Comes in multiple colors/animals and they are microwave safe. Now that he’s walking, he LOVES to push things so I thought this cute bubble mower he will love and this fun sand bucket set.

4 Tips for A Colorful Easter Tablescape

Nothing like fresh spring flowers to pull off an Easter tablescape!

Obsessed with these gingham napkins they are on sale and come in all these pretty Spring pastel colors!

Thought this shot couldn’t get any cuter…

And then Ollie jumped in the pic…

And then this 🥰 🥰 – melt my mama heart! He is so obsessed with Mio!

DETAILS: BLUE TANK | WIDE LEG PANTS (ON SALE UNDER $25) | SLIPPERS

DISHES: RIBBED DINNERWARE SET | GLASS CAKE STAND | SHORT GLASS SET |

EASTER DECOR: PLAID NAPKIN SET (ON SALE UNDER $10) | PLUSH BUNNY (UNDER $20) | BUNNY EARS NAPKIN RING (ON SALE UNDER $15) | GINGHAM NAPKIN SET (ON SALE UNDER $15) | CANDY SET (CAREFUL WITH THE CUPCAKE BITES – THEY ARE ADDICTING!)

FURNITURE: RUG | CHAIRS | DINING TABLE (OLD – SIMILAR HERE)

Spring is all about the colors! Especially after what feels like an endless winter, I catch myself craving more color than usual! I put together a little spring tablescape for the kids to brighten up their day and love how it turned out! Wish I could have my table set up every day (especially when fresh flowers are involved 😍) Here are a few tips to add some color to your Easter tablescape.

DON’T PICK JUST ONE:

Don’t feel like you need to limit yourself to just one color or a simple palette. Spring is all about pastels and colors – it’s the best excuse to go all out and incorporate as much color as you want. Think all pastels – the more pastel tones you can bring in, the more it will feel like spring. I loved these plaid napkins that we used as place mats – I just folded them once instead of multiple times to make a large rectangle for the place mat. I loved the color tones and plaid print (Also on sale under $10 for a set of 4!), they accented the gingham napkins so good!!

MIX & MATCH:

Spring is the best opportunity to buy sets in multiple colors, making it the perfect time to mix and match your decor for a perfectly mismatched tablescape. I got these gingham napkins that come in a pretty lavender, blush, mint, and blue and also these cute bunny ear napkin rings that the kids loved. Instead of matching them up for each place setting, I mixed it up so there was even more color at each seat.

LET THE TREATS DO THE TALKING:

One of the most seamless ways to bring in color is with your treats. Think pink lemonade, colorful fruits, and yummy spring candies. It’s a great way to have your treats do double duty – both as decor and something yummy to munch on before (or after 🙂 you eat. This candy set is so cute and the cake bites are addicting!

ADD FLORAL ACCENTS:

Adding a pretty vase of flowers is always a no brainer, but add little sprigs of flowers as accents to your plates or food. Wildflowers I feel like are such an underrated flower, and they add so much to a table. The little clusters look so cute as an accent to the bunny ears, and we pulled a couple mini daisies off to add to the lemon slices and yogurt and I love how it just adds that feminine touch :).

Every spring I start going through dress withdrawals and get so excited for the bright colors and patterns of a new season! I ordered some of the prettiest spring dresses and wanted to share some of them below.

spring lace dress

lace dress

DETAILS: FLORAL LACE MAXI DRESS (30% OFF) | YSL CROSSBODY | NUDE HEELS | GOLD WATCH

This is one of my favorite dress designers (has been for years!). Every detail in this dress (30% OFF RIGHT NOW TOO) is incredible from the gorgeous eyelet lace to the floral pattern to the scalloped hem. I love the length of this one too – especially with the hem detail. Feels so feminine! This would make the prettiest wedding guest dress if you have any upcoming events – love!

BLUE FLORAL DRESS | BLUE GUCCI CROSSBODY | GOLD WATCH

I last minute bought one of this designer’s dresses in CA last spring and could not stop wearing it. Their dresses are super flattering but I especially love this one! The smocked bodice with the full sleeves and skirt feel like a 2021 take on a princess dress. The dress keeps it’s shape really well too.

FLORAL RUFFLED DRESS (40% OFF – WEARING SIZE S) | GOLD WATCH

Similar smocked bodice and full sleeves but also so different from the dress above! I love the lightweight poplin fabric and the tiered skirt. It feels super easy to wear and really versatile – perfect one-and-done outfit for spring/summer, the beach, traveling, etc. I ended up returning this one and keeping the one below but I loved both!

BLUE TIERED MINI DRESS

This dress I’ve already worn a couple times. I love the combo of the multiple shades of blue with the micro floral print. Another options that’s really easy to wear for tons of occasions. It’s also on major sale right now – 50% off!

nude fendi tee

NUDE FENDI TEE | BLUE HIGH-WAISTED TROUSERS | YSL CROSSBODY | GOLD WATCH

Every couple years I’ll pull the trigger on a designer tee and this year I couldn’t pass up on this Fendi tee. I’m obsessed with the color and the logo stitching on the front. I don’t own a ton of designer tees but the ones I do own get worn on repeat. They are all amazing quality and you can literally wear them forever if you take care of them, whereas with other tees you might get only a year or two of wear before it starts to fade or loose shape. All this to say… love this Fendi tee and will be wearing it for years! Haha. Perfect tee to wear with some cut-off shorts or dress up with some pretty high-waisted trousers and heels. Also can we talk about these pants?! The color is everything! Love the whole look paired with this mini-crossbody.

Hawaii Couples Trip Guide and Spring Break Faves

OMBRE MAXI DRESS

After every trip to Hawaii, I always have a few DMs asking where we stayed, our favorite beaches, etc. Especially with spring break around the corner, I wanted to share a recap of our trip a couple weeks ago.  (I’ve shared a few recaps of where we’ve stayed and our favorite activities when we went as a family – this trip was more of an adult trip but I have multiple posts with guides on past Hawaii trips: a Maui Travel Guide, Oahu Family edition, and more of our Oahu faves here.)

Since I’ve shared a lot of our favorites in the past posts, I’m just going to highlight my favorites from this trip like what to eat, where to stay, and where to play (like beaches, hikes, etc. 🙂

DETAIL: BLACK BEACH DRESS

EAT:

Best Burgers: Seven Brothers

So good I ate it before I could get a picture haha.

Food Truck: Shrimp

Shave Ice: Matsumoto

Dessert: Leonard’s Bakery & Ted’s Bakery

From Leonard’s I always get the Cream Malasadas. Ted’s has a bunch of different pies but I think the one I had was Chocolate Haupia (coconut) Pie – their signature!

STAY:

Marriott Beach Club Ko Olina

DETAILS: PINK HIGH-WAISTED SHORTS (TONS OF COLORS – UNDER $30!)

This was our first time staying here. We did a two bedroom condo and shared it with Cody’s family. Its great if you are traveling with friends. They have a kitchen, so you can cook some of your meals if you want to, it’s nice for breakfast especially. The views are gorgeous, I love seeing the ocean, mountains and beach all right there. It’s a little ways from down town so it’s not as busy and you have private beaches just for the resort.

PLAY:

Kahauloa Cove

This cove reminded me so much of the beaches in Europe! It’s right down from Hanama Bay. The water was crazy clear and sooo pretty! We saw turtles and whales – one whale fully jumped out where you could see it’s entire body. I’ve never seen that from the beach before – one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen!

The Pillbox Hike (Lanikai)

DETAILS: TIE DYE SWEATSHIRT | PINK HIGH-WAISTED SHORTS

This is one of our favorite hikes. The views are amazing and it’s pretty moderate – it’s a little less than 2 miles. We’ve also done with the kids but were able to go a little farther to the second view point just adults cause Beckam was like 4 when we went and got really tired. So depending on your kids age it could work with kids 🙂

Laundry Room Reveal

It’s been a year since we shot our Laundry Room but I just remembered last week that I hadn’t posted it haha! I’m linking each item individually below, so if you want to skip straight to the links you can scroll to the bottom. 🙂

How much has Ollie grown this year 🥺🥺

laundry room decor

The first thing I picked for this space was this tile. When we were building I really wanted beautiful patterned tile everywhere haha I’m a sucker for cool tile! But as we really started to nail down decor, we settled on a few little accent details through out our home. The laundry room is a really safe place to have fun with pattern or color.  I love the pretty blue tone that feels really bright and clean.  I’m so happy with how it turned out! The majority of our home is really neutral, so it was fun to bring in some blue in such a bold way!

We don’t get natural light in this room we went with 2 of these chandeliers. I can’t find them in stock anywhere (they were from Wayfair, I’ll keep an eye out if they come back in stock) but found this one that’s super similar. A few weeks ago I switched out the bulbs from a warm bulb to a brighter watt with white light and it’s night and day difference. These were ones I got and love. Wish I had done it earlier!

Ollie concentrating so hard to get his head up 🙂

From the beginning design process I wanted to try to set up as much storage and organization as possible.  Obviously I don’t have a foolproof system because if you’ve seen my insta stories its still a mess a lot of times haha, but a couple organization things I love. The tall drawers next to the sink have dirty hampers for Cody, mine and the kids clothes. Each drawer has two bins, one for darks and one for whites (I also LOVE the brass and lucite pulls on these drawers!) For clean laundry, we got these lined baskets and added these gold label hooks to them for the kids. So when I’m organizing the clean laundry I throw all their stuff in each basket for them to put away.  I also love these apothecary jars to hold things like detergent, pods – basically whatever products you use that has packaging that doesn’t flow with your color scheme. 😂  For some of my other go-to laundry brands that are a little more aesthetically pleasing (love Laundress & Honest Baby), I love displaying them and setting them out with more intention. You might not think to put your pretty trays and baskets in the laundry where most people will never see them, but whether you hate to do laundry room or already love it, adding some decor brings a totally different energy and will change the game.
