This Season’s ‘It’ Shoe Trend You Need to Try

If there’s anything that can completely transform an outfit, it’s shoes, which makes shoe shopping in my favorite season, fall, sooooo exciting. I’ve been looking for a pair of cute white boots forever. White has always been a classic color, but it’s definitely the ‘it’ color for shoes this season. When I saw these, I instantly knew they were the ones. I love the thick heel and the tortoise detail with the snap button – honestly, they are just the perfect shoe!

Not only is the tortoise heel a good detail, it also brings in those fall tones so they are easier to mix and match with your wardrobe and it adds a lot of versatility so you can pair these statement boots with everything! You can add these boots to a pretty summery dress to transition into fall or just add with a simple sweater and jeans for an effortlessly cool look. They are an investment, but it’s one of those wardrobe additions that I know I’ll be wearing every week this season. This is another great option at a lower price point and also love this more budget-friendly option.

Fall Feels

I can’t get enough layers this fall. They give you so many options to mix and match the rest of your staples for the season! I am obsessed with the color of this one – it’s such a pretty and unique shade that’s perfect for fall. I also love the braided detail down the side that adds a little more interest. The Product You Need To Pull Off the No-Makeup Look

When I was young I always used to look forward to being able to wear makeup, but it’s funny that the older you get the more you appreciate be able to go makeup free! Cody has always preferred it when I wear less makeup and, although I don’t do it for him, it’s always nice when your beauty habits align with your S/Os preferences. You know what I mean. 🙂

For the past two or three years, right before I hit my 30’s, I became a fanatic about taking care of my skin. Cody always teases me it takes me 20 minutes to get ready for bed because I have my process down and am religious about taking care of my skin morning and night. I’ve become a lot more confident going makeup-free now that I’ve invested in taking care of my skin. Honestly the best compliment in the world is when you’re not wearing makeup and someone compliments you on your skin!

We had a two week trip to Asia planned this summer and when we are traveling I really try to minimize my “getting ready” routine, which usually means cutting out makeup so I’m not skimping on packing my skincare products. I wanted to start prepping my skin early so I embarked on my #OneBottleAwayFrom journey and starting using the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence earlier this summer in hopes of going makeup-free in Asia. I already love how it’s transformed my skin with just one bottle. Since I’ve started using it my skins feels smoother, refreshed, and has that radiant “glow” I’ve always wanted. When I was a kid, I was a big tomboy and lived and breathed basketball from kindergarten through high school. I practically lived in Nike and Adidas. Even as an adult I still get excited for new sportswear pieces. Black and white are so versatile and timeless, they are always the easiest to mix and match together so I wanted to share a few different pieces you need in your closet that you can wear to the gym, for travel style, or just because, hey, sportswear pieces are comfy and cute.

A graphic sports bra: I can’t be the only one who dreads putting on a bra! Sport bras are a good compromise haha they are really comfortable and add a sporty look to any outfit. Love this white graphic option and love the zip detail and back of this one.
Joggers: You guys know how addicted I am to joggers – I practically live in them, whether I’m lounging around the house, traveling, or running errands. I love the logoed stripe on this pair – they are so different from anything else I own. I also got this matching hoodie for a fresh take on the tracksuit which is going to be big this season.
A transitional layer: I’m obsessed with all the colorblocked windbreaker options out right now! Love this one in white and it also comes in multiple colors here. They are an easy piece to throw on and take off, which makes it the perfect layer, especially as we transition into fall.
Shorts that make you love your legs: I am kind of picky when it comes to athletic shorts. The ones with a curved hem are always more flattering so I’m always on the lookout. I love this pair I found that comes in 5 colors and the trim gives it a throwback feel that is coming back this season.
Sneakers: Last but not least, sneakers!! I have a serious obsession with them, but I wear them all the time so I don’t feel too guilty about it. 🙂 A good neutral sneaker will never go out of style so I always stock up on good black and white styles when I find a good pair I like. I own this style in at least 4 colors – they are the perfect balance between sporty and chic.

The kids start school today and I’m in major denial that summer break is over! I swear there’s something about New York that makes your blood pump faster and gives you new life. It’s one of my favorite cities! I can never get enough of the cityscape, tall buildings, and high energy.

Bodysuits are hands down one of my favorite staples this season. They are so easy to wear with all the high-waisted wide leg pants or denim. I love this pretty rose one from today’s post under $50 – it’s such a pretty material and I’m obsessed with the shade (also comes in black and red). This was another bodysuit I wore in New York and I can’t believe how soft it is – highly recommend! I dressed it up with wide leg pants and heels at night and also wore it with joggers and sneakers for my travel look on the flight home. Sooo comfortable and still looks put together. Also love the cutout detail on this bodysuit and how pretty is this one??

Also got a million comments about these shoes on Insta. They are such a pretty satin wrap-around sandal and best of all they are on sale right now under $100 and come in 4 colors – obsessed!

Statement Red: Restyled

Hi from New York! It’s a quick 36 hour trip, shooting a fun project that launches in September – I’m excited to share details soon. Also big sorry I couldn’t make a meet-and-greet work this trip! I got so sick the night before I left and then during the red eye it was so much worse! I landed and went straight to the hotel and slept for like 6 hours before my event. Someone told me about doctors that come to your hotel room and seriously that is the best idea ever! It was so nice not having to try to find a new doctor somewhere in the city when you don’t feel good! I would really recommend it if you live in NY especially if you have kids. It’s the worst when your little one’s don’t feel good trying to get them ready and having them sick waiting in the dr’s office forever.

I’ll be back to NY in September so I would love to meet up with you guys! Maybe do a coffee shop meet up or something. I seriously love getting all your DM’s and messages on insta! It’s my favorite part of this job – connecting with you guys!

You guys saw these bow pants in this post. I love the bold red and oversized bow detail. Since it has such a high waist it pairs perfectly with crop tops (comes in multiple colors). It’s a great piece to layer under other tops for a pretty peek-a-boo lace detail or on its own for a flirty feel. I love the combo with this structured Tommy Hilfiger military jacket. The jacket is sold out it’s from last season but similar option here under $100.
