Desert Life

Last week when we went to Coachella it was my first time to Palm Springs/Palm Desert. I was surprised how many flowers and greenery there still was in the desert! We live close to St. George and the desert is completely different there. I fell in love with the little city I hope we make it back soon!

I found this pink kimono/robe on sale and immediately added it to my cart! You guys know what a sucker for pink I am and I love the lace detailing on it. They were sold out of small so I got a medium and its not big at all. Also if you don’t have any body suits yet you need to get some! They are my favorite thing right now! The one I have on in this post I also wore in this post a few weeks ago, I like it cause it’s a thicker white so it’s not see through. Then I also just bought this one. I love how smooth they lay when you want that tucked in look with out all the bunching – they will be your new best friend 😉

It seems like Mother’s Day is one of those holidays that always sneak up on me. I have so many good ideas during the year but when it’s approaching I seem to forget everything! We just added our family line to ILY with the mom tee and mini tee (and one for everyone else in the fam – full collection here) and they are a great budget-friendly gift for mom.

I also put together some of suggestions for the moms in your life below for all kind of budgets.

1. A cozy robe: You never realize how much your mom does until you have kids of your own – it’s a lot! Give her another reason to kick back (as if she needed one) and relax in a soft robe. Also love this pink one!

2. Her signature or special fragrance: There’s nothing more memorable than your mom’s perfume. I get a whiff of one of my moms’ perfumes and it instantly brings back floods of memories! Get her a bottle of her staple perfume or that one she always saves for special occasions.

3. Not-your-average face mask: I swear by these face masks. It works wonders on my skin and is such a worthy product for mom to indulge in!

4. The bag she would never buy for herself (but has always wanted to!): If you are in a position to splurge on something, who better to splurge for than your mom? Give her the gift she would never get herself and go big with that bag she’s always had her eye on.

5. Something from the heart: Never underestimate a handmade gift. I have so many of the kids’ homemade gifts and paintings framed or on display around the house and they are priceless. There are some amazing craft ideas on Pinterest like this homemade perfume and this clay jewelry dish.

The Perfect Off-The-Shoulder Under $60

I have been so excited about all the new pieces on ILY. There are so many cute new items and one of my favorites is this blush off the shoulder top (comes in white too here). The weather has finally started to really warm up and I have loved being able to throw this cute top on and walk out the door with out a jacket! It is so easy to dress an off the shoulder top down to run errands or pair it with your favorite heels for a night out. We also have this super cute off the shoulder style here which comes in white and blue linen. The blue one is my favorite!

My Kids Have Paws

Hi guys!! We got home late yesterday and I am trying to get my life in order from the weekend so today is a pretty quick post. Mio is like our fourth child! Sometimes he causes more trouble then the other three combined 🙂 JK he seriously is the best dog, but if you leave a scrap of food anywhere he will find it in .2 seconds. If I’m upset about anything he is always instantly by my side. When I was laying on the floor with contractions before I went to the hospital to go into labor with Beckam he was by my side resting his head on my tummy. I swear he knew before I did. He slept as close to me as he could the night before.

Pets are such a major part of the family I wanted to design a shirt that celebrated that. So for all you fellow fur mamas: Our Kids have Paws tee! We also have it in a mug too.

All About That Lace

I’m sure you are all fully aware of my “slight” obsession with neutrals this season. 😉 You also might not be too surprised that I definitely consider a good pastel pink another neutral haha. I am totally obsessed with this lace top. It’s absolutely gorgeous and to be honest it’s even better in person! I also got the dress version here – so pretty!

Cody and I made it to Coachella! It’s the first vacation we have had just us in 2 years! I’m excited for a weekend getaway with my babe but it feels so weird being away from the kids! I think it’s important to have a little a lone time though 🙂 I was laughing so hard last night, I was running late and had asked Cody to load my camera for me before we left Utah and he legit wrapped it in diapers and put it in my bag lol. I was dying!

4 Spring Tops Under $50

I have been finding so many amazing budget-friendly spring tops lately I had to share!

Cropped Halter: I found this scalloped cropped halter and couldn’t believe it was under $25. It’s such a pretty shade of yellow to brighten up any look.

Off-the-shoulder: I also love this off-the-shoulder top. I have one from last year that’s almost identical but this one is a fraction of the price. There are seriously so many good off-the-shoulder tops at almost any budget point – I’m loving it!

Ruffled hem top: How pretty is this more subtle spin on a peplum? The ruffled hem is such a chic and feminine detail that is flattering on anyone. Also love this one and so tempted by this one.

Linen button up: What’s spring without a linen top? I love this chic white one and it’s the perfect length to test out a few new ways to tie and tuck your top (4 of my favorite ways to wear a button up here if you missed it. 🙂

Happy Wednesday guys! Today’s look is pretty casual. I like to call it my “mom uniform”. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been caught off guard by 40 degree weather when I’m in just a tee. It’s typical Utah spring weather – you never know what to expect! One of my favorites for the random weather and rain is Hunter boots. I have them in burgundy and green but when I found them in this matte khaki color I had to have them. It’s just a great neutral so it works with anything. Secretly another reason I love Hunter boots is because they are one of the few pieces I can get away with matching with B. He kills me in his little matching rain boots (lots more colors here :)!

I feel like the kids are getting so much older lately and seriously becoming mini grown ups. It’s funny what they catch up now that they are starting to tell their own jokes and even tease us sometimes. I love their senses of humor lately!

Spring Whites

I’m obsessed with trenches right now!!

oh my heart! these two just kill me!

TGIF! I don’t know what it is but I have been sooooo tired this week. The super tired feeling like when I was pregnant (no I promise I’m not hinting I am pregnant 🙂 but I’ve just been so sleepy! Last night we took the kids to the new Jungle Book movie and B was with me in the bathroom at the theater and said “Mommy potty”. We haven’t even started potty training yet so I was a little caught off guard. I said you want to go potty? He nodded his head so I took his diaper off and sat him down and HE WENT!! I was literally shocked!! I was like ok this is a freak incident! We got home and he went two more times!! I am praying he is magically just ready to start using the potty! It will be the world’s best potty training experience if it is lol. Let’s just hope I didn’t jinx it all now 🙂

These pics were from last weekend. It was beautiful weather we spent the whole weekend outside, hanging at the park, going on a hike, BBQ-ing at our friends. It was one of those weekends Cody and I both said what a great weekend it was.

I’ve been really drawn to whites lately! This white linen trench is the perfect lightweight layer. I wanted to go for a classic look so I went all white with neutral accents. These sandals go with any outfit. If you don’t have a classic nude sandal I would really encourage you to get a simple pair that can match a lot.

California Blooms

One more post from our trip to California. The flowers in California are perfection on almost every corner! B is obsessed with smelling flowers. He kept picking the ones up off the ground and shoving them up to my nose saying “Mom! Mmmmmm!” and if I didn’t smell it he would just keep saying Mom! Mom! Mom! He takes his flower smelling seriously 😉

I always have a hard time finding jeans I like that are under a $100. I have two styles from this brand (these and these) and love them! I cut the bottoms off these to give them a frayed lived in feel.
