Hey guys! I’m so excited to reveal my office makeover. Putting clothes together has always come naturally but for some reason interior design is way harder for me! It was close to 2 months of trial and error before I finally settled on the full look but I’m so happy with how it turned out and can’t believe how much I’ve learned in the process. I wish I was one of those people interior design came easy to, but I love being outside my element and learning a new process!

I wanted my office to have a more feminine, colorful atmosphere (the rest of our house is decorated in a lot of neutrals and greys). I love the look of white and gold (it’s nothing new, I know!) but I wanted pastel accents of blues, pinks, and coral for color and contrast. I fell in love with these paintings. They are so beautiful and such a good price point under $50. It’s amazing what a difference wall art makes – they brighten up the entire space. I used the color palette from the paintings as my base for the room. I wanted to bring in colors from the paintings into other pieces so I got these cute pink and blue throw pillows to tie it together.

This adjustable gold lamp is probably my favorite my favorite piece in the office! An investment piece but worth every penny! The neutral gold and white details bring balance to all the color. I especially love the little lucite tape dispenser and stapler. The accents give it a cleaner look which I love/need. This rug is sooo soft and comfortable. It’s Mio’s new favorite spot in the house – he’s always sprawled out all over rolling back and forth like a bear against a tree. He never wants to move!

I don’t know how people who work full time and have kids keep their house clean. I wish I was better at that, but now that my space is decorated I feel more inspired to keep it clean. (We’ll see how long it lasts 🙂

I had so much fun decorating that I’m anxious to conquer the next room. Below are a few more pieces from Lulu & Georgia I love. For the next week, you can use code: hello15 to get 15% off.

Christine

  1. Love what you have done. Beautiful. Can I ask where the bookshelf/shoe shelf is from? I need to do something like that! Thanks!

  3. Your office is gorgeous! I really love the beautiful artwork that you choose!! What size do you have and where are the frames from?

  4. What a fun, cheerful space! Working in a space that makes you happy makes work so much more enjoyable. This inspires me to incorporate a few updates to my own space (I work from home, too).

  5. Ugh. Thee rug, the lamp, the everything. I’m surprised you write you had more difficulty with interior design because this post suggests otherwise! Wishing my desk looked like this!

  6. You have such a gorgeous room and you’re so lucky to have it all to yourself! I share a room and office with my boyfriend and it’s been so hard trying to coordinate our two tastes. I love your style, all whites and golds and he loves the very masculine style, all dark wood and mahogany. I compromised by having an all white leather couch, white coffee table and white fur rug but he refuses to get rid of the huge dark wood desk!! Haha, #cohabproblems

  7. Great idea! Let’s recycle all our books and replace them with shoes! We should close schools, too and replace them with malls.
Just sayin’. I hope you’re keeping a few books in your closet.

  9. I absolutely love this post. I’m not sure if it’s from blogging or just moving out of my parent’s place but I have become obsessed with all things home décor! Your office is beautiful and I love that you’re perfectly placed and color coordinated shoes are visible in the office.

  10. I am in love with those prints and need them for my room! When I click the link it says it cannot be found… does this mean they are no longer available??
