BURGUNDY MIDI DRESS (ALSO LOVE THIS VERSION) || BURGUNDY CLUTCH (SIMILAR HERE || VELVET STYLE HERE) || NUDE HEELS || SUNGLASSES

When I saw this dress it was love at first sight. Sure every once in a while there is a piece that gives you butterflies, but this love stuff is beyond that. 😉 JK but really I was literally tracking my package every day to see how soon it would come. I saved this dress for the last day I was in New York for Fashion Week because you always save the best for last right?!

The YSL velvet clutch I got last year and it just so happened that velvet is all the rage this season. The exact style I couldn’t find anywhere but here is a similar version under a $100 (this one is also under a $100) and a designer version here. I always try to link to similar pieces at all price points so you can recreate outfits at your budget. The dress was definitely harder to find at various price points but this cut out burgundy dress is under $50 and this one is in the $300’s but it’s so beautiful I just ordered it.

Hope you all are enjoying your week! Thanks for reading!

XX,
Christine

  1. You always look amazing! I love this dress. Can you tell me what kind of extensions you wear? I have been debating getting some and yours look so natural. Thanks!! Xo

  2. I love, love, LOVE that dress. So much so, I want to splurge with my credit card and buy it, but I can’t.

I love your blog and have been following it for a while, but it’s getting so pricey! I can’t keep up anymore.

    1. Hi Emily,

Thanks for your feedback – I work hard to provide alternatives when items are at a higher price point so people have options but I will work at including more fashion finds at lower points as well. Thanks again for letting me know 🙂 Christine

      1. Wow! I wasn’t expecting a reply, but thank you! It sounds silly, but I’m a tiny bit starstruck, just because I love your blog so much and suggest it to all my friends. Now I feel terrible for complaining!

My budget is just a little tighter these days (trying to really tackle college debt). But of course now I just saw your next post, and those AMAZING flats at a huge discount!! They don’t have my size, but I’m going to try to squeeze into a slightly smaller one.

I appreciate all the efforts you make to find alternatives and sales. I used to be the tomboy who never dressed up, and your blog has totally sent me in the other direction! I may have developed a shopping addiction, haha 🙂

  3. This color looks gorgeous on you! And I love the nude shoes with it rather than black – such a pretty fall combo!

  4. Love your blog and your style! Quick question, I’m moving towards an ombre hair color vs solid blonde but I love wearing my hair extensions. Do you use a certain type made for multi-colored/ombre/highlighted hair? How do you get them to blend in the back? Thanks!

  5. I saw this dress on the model online and I never would have guessed from that photo that it could look this pretty. It looks stunning with the hairstyle and shoes you chose, nice pic!
