On My Mind…

No rhyme or reason to these pics. I got a new phone (B has now broken mine 3 times!! – you think I would learn by now πŸ™‚ and was just looking through pics and thought I’d share the randomΒ things from the last couple weeks.

b cheesing out

His cheesiest of cheese but it kills me how much I love him! I swear this kid smiles on point. He will be having the biggest melt down or doing something naughty and I will B like “B knock it off or you’re going to time out!” and he will bust out this smile and I can’t help but bust out laughing. He is pure trouble.

family pumpkin patch

Β I have so many pics from when Mara and Wes were minis carrying pumpkins. I don’t know why but the pumpkin patch pictures are always so special to me.

BURGUNDY CAPEΒ | BURGUNDY OVER THE KNEE BOOTS | BEIGE HANDBAG | DENIM

It’s a toss between burgundy and olive for my favorite colors for fall. My feet have been getting more sore lately, so I have been wearing flats more than usual. These over the knee boots are my favorite. I got this color last year and loved them so much I got the burgundy this year. I know they are a splurge but I wear mine 2-3 days out of the week. Worth the investment, but hereΒ is a more budget friendly alternative.

beckam singing

B is obsessed with music! Whether we are in the car, a restaurant, the mall, a bathroom, wherever, the second he hears a beat or any sort of song he shakes it. Even if it’s the most random music you would never dance to he throws his hands up and starts laughing. Cody sent me this pic the other day when he was home with himΒ with the message “this song goes out to you mom” and it melted my heart. And for the record it’s a huge victory if anyone makes it out of the house with matching socks πŸ™‚

TAN SHRUG | DISTRESSED DENIM | FRINGE BOOTIES | SUNGLASSESΒ ||Β CODY’S OUTFIT: DENIM JACKET | BLACK DENIMΒ | SILVER WATCH | SUNGLASSES

The other day I posted a picture of Cody and I on Instagram and someone was commenting about how they were tired of all the smiles and wanted to see more real life. I hope you all know I by no means want to portray our life to be perfect. There are days Cody drives me nuts and I sure as heck know there are days I’m crazy and emotional over nothing and he’s probably like she’s crazy! I just obviously don’t have my camera out during those moments and would feel weird posting a picture of myself crying or something. I think everyone goes through struggles and honestly I am thankful for the hard times because it always makes me appreciate the good ones. I’ve been trying to figure out how to incorporate some of those up and down moments into the blog… so just know it’s on my mind… just figuring out how to loop it all in.

Pink. Suede. Louboutins. A shoe lover’s dream.

PUMPKIN SWEATSHIRT | DENIM | FRINGE BOOTIES | SUNGLASSESΒ  || B’S OUTFIT:Β PUMPKIN SHIRTΒ (SIMILAR HERE) |Β HUNTER BOOTS

I think we wore this twinner outfit three of four times so far. I tried to get Cody to wear a pumpkin shirt too when we were in Oregon and he just laughed. Looking back I can see how that may have been taking it too far lol, but hey twinning is winning πŸ˜‰ Also these fringe booties have been on my posts a lot. I am obsessed with them!

Wes lost his first tooth this weekend!! We were at lunch and he realized it was loose, then literally an hour later we were eating donuts and it fell out! Mara’s took weeks to fall out once they came loose. He was SOOSOOOOO excited!! We turned the rest of the day into a party and let him pick whatever he wanted to do. We went for a hike to this little waterfall, let him veg out on candy, then pick out a new toothbrush for the big day πŸ™‚

BLUSH KNIT SWEATERΒ || WHITE DISTRESSED DENIM || LACE UP HEELS ||SILVER WATCH

This was probably one of my favorite outfits of all time. You can see more pics and the full outfit post here.

mom and son costume

Ok this is a throwback from last year when B and I were coordinating in our monkey-banana costume (I swear the only way I know to spell banana is from Gwen Stefani’s song B-A-N-A-N-A-S!) but I am soooo excited for Halloween because I feel like this year he will actually get what’s going on. Β Man I miss those chubby little cheeks!

pumpkin and hunters

Gosh I feel like he’s such a little boy these days. He makes all these silly faces and has so much personality (sometimes it’s pure attitude!) but I die over his little hunters! Hunters and Converse were the first pair of shoes I got for B when I knew I was having a boy.

Hope you all are enjoying your week! Lots of love!

Christine

  1. I love posts like this every now and then to see a little more into your day-to-day! And screw the haters on instagram…people just want to bring others down to make themselves feel better. Why on earth would you want to see someone’s bad days? We all have them, but like you said it’s not like you have your camera out snapping pics during an argument or something? Really stupid. Focus on the good! The kind of followers you want are the ones that want to see you happy and positive πŸ™‚

  2. I love all the photos you post Christine…the beautiful outfit posts to the ones of your sweet family. Don’t let someone on social media make you feel guilty for sharing happy moments…why would anyone ask to see sad or angry moments? I can’t believe someone would demand that of you or any other blogger…those times are so personal! People that demand that only want to make themselves feel better…it’s common knowledge that everyone has bad days and moods all the time, especially kids, and just because you don’t post kid melt down photos doesn’t mean you’re putting up a false reality of your life. No one’s life is perfect, and no one should expect you to show every aspect of your life to prove that it’s not if you don’t think it’s appropriate πŸ™‚

  3. I have always loved your style and posts!! You are one of the main reasons I started my new blog! So inspiring.

  4. This is so cute. I love how you are mixing it up a little bit…family and fashion….too cute!
Hang in there mama, you’re doing a great job. Don’t give those negative folks a second thought! πŸ™‚

  5. Love the blog! I think you should ignore the commenter who said they wanted more pics that are real and enough with all the smiles! I feel like your pictures are natural and life like and honestly, posting pics of having fun and the good times help you to get through the tough times too. There is always going to be negative and critical people, just keep being you…because it’s obviously working :).

  6. I just love coming here daily to get my dose of Christine! You always brighten my day and I love seeing what you’ve purchased, styled and your adorable, good lookin’ fam. Keep sharing the happy moments πŸ™‚ Obviously it’s not always roses, for anyone, but like you said, you wouldn’t be sharing photos of you crying into your pillow, lol. Silly.

Happy Halloween — can’t wait to see your guys costumes! (aside from the AMAZING two you’ve shared on IG — unreal good, and those dresses, WOWWWWW πŸ™‚

  7. This was a wonderful post! I love your blog/Instagram just the way it is, we know you’re a real person with real emotions. I think social media should be used to show all our blessings in life, not complain about what’s going wrong. Anyway, love you and your family! Feel like we’re related sometimes πŸ˜‰

  8. Just wanted to let you how much I enjoy your blog!!! I love how you mix high end with great normal priced finds. Keep it up, I read you every day and bought 2 of the capes already.

  9. Hi Christine! I had recently started following you on instagram and blogs and wanted to let you know how inspiring you are. I just recently got engaged to the love of my life. He is a father of two amazing boys (more like young men) ages 14 and 10. Your daily blog posts remind me that us “moms” are able to look cute, have fun and be ourselves. Keep up the amazing work as mom, wife and person… you are truly inspiring. Hugs forever!
