If you read my blog, you know I’m a sucker for the white on white combo. It’s nothing new, but with summer heating up it was an excuse to pull out the shorts and replay the combo with summer pieces. Recently I got an email from a reader asking how to make short shorts look classy. My tip would be if you are showing a little more leg, go for a looser fit top or something with sleeves. It draws less attention to the shorts and makes it seem a little more classy. Have you guys found any other tricks with styling short shorts?

  4. I was saying something similar on my blog today about short skirts..I say wear flats for daytime. That definitely tones down the sexiness. Short shorts aren’t as much of an issue because they are closed . Totally agree with the fit, short, tight shorts..no, no!

  34. I agree that having a less fitted top goes well with more fitted shorts.

    I’m having the most difficult time finding white shorts this season. Either they are cut too short, too long, or look “too stiff”. I really love the worn in look for shorts. Plus, it makes it a lot more comfortable to wear.

    Cute outfit. I’m still coveting your shoes. So glad that you found them.
