Hey guys! I wanted to share a few of my recent finds with you – some of them great steals under $100! I’ve definitely been gravitating towards more classic versatile pieces that I use in everything from workplace attire to date night to weekend street style.

  1. Blush Bomber: I got this jacket in dark green (last seen in this post) but now that it’s so warm out I’m tempted to pick it up in pink too… It’s such a unique color and bombers are one of those forever pieces that will never go out of style.
  2. Sunglasses: I am obsessed with this brand of sunglasses. They come in so many amazing styles and are just the right size (slightly oversized) and became a new instant favorite. My latest pair from them was last worn in this post.
  3. Loafers: If I had to guess, I would say flats only account for maybe 5% of my shoe collection – and that might be pushing it. Don’t get me wrong, I love flats but for some reason I stick to heels and sneakers (and of course boots and sandals seasonally). So when I do find a pair of flats I love, it’s game on. And these are so good! I love the menswear vibe balanced with the pretty blush color. Also love this suede option under $100.
  4. Sleeveless Jacket: Light layers are your best friend during spring and a sleeveless jacket is about as good as it gets. I love this blush one that’s perfect for the office or a great way to liven up your favorite tee and shorts ensemble. Also love this black sleeveless option that was last seen here.
  5. Budget Denim: Denim is one of those pieces I don’t feel like I have to splurge on. I buy all kinds of brands, including those budget-friendly options under $100. This boyfriend pair is a perfect wash and under $30. I’ve been living in this pair lately and these and these have been some of my favorites.

Check out a few more pieces I’ve had my eye on lately below.

Messy Bun Tutorial

Hello Fashion Blog Messy Bun Tutorial

Messy Bun Tutorial

DETAILS: PINK SWING DRESS (UNDER $100) | GREY WATCH

I am so excited to finally share with you guys my messy bun tutorial! I’ve gotten so many comments and questions on it I figured it was about time for a tutorial! It is a really easy hairstyle you can do in 1-2 minutes. Using a thick hair tie is one of the biggest tricks especially if you have a lot of hair. Your messy bun will hold a lot better and keep it’s shape. Also keep in mind, no two messy buns are the same, sometimes I get mine on the first try and other times it takes two or three tries for it to flow right. Watch the video below for my step by step. I would love to see your messy buns! Email me a pic or tag me in your photos! I can’t wait to see 🙂 If you still have any questions about how to do it still let me know in the comments below! Thanks so much for watching!

Living in Utah one of my favorite spots for a staycation is Park City. Sure it’s a great ski town in the winter but it is just as much a destination during the spring and summer, plus since it’s the off season you can usually get some good discounts. Cody and I love to escape up the canyon to Park City so I wanted to put together a list of some of my favorite places to eat, stay, and play.

Cute White Tote

PACK

Every staycation calls for at least one romantic night out for an excuse to get dressed up. I love this white lacy halter dress (under $100). It’s an easy silhouette but the lace makes it perfect for a night out to dinner. This black crochet dress is a total head-turner. Love these neutral ankle strap sandals and this white tote to complete the look.

It’s always a little bit cooler in the mountains than the valley which makes Park City so pack a light extra layer like a cute sweater or a lightweight trench. And of course don’t forget a pair of sneakers so you can take a hike and explore the beautiful scenery!

Park City Travel Guide

STAY

Montage Deer Valley: The Montage is really kid-friendly so it’s a great place to stay for a family getaway but it’s also great for a romantic weekend with your S/O. The Montage Deer Valley has the cutest little spot to make s’mores and an amazing spa if you need an extra push to relax 😉

Washington School House: This boutique hotel is one of my favorites in Park City. It was built as a school in 1889 and later became a hotel. I’m obsessed with all the decor and love the quaint, cozy feeling. It’s also just a block from Main Street so it’s a great location if you want to be close to the action.

EAT

Baja Cantina: No matter where my staycation takes me, I always crave good Mexican haha. And Baja Cantina does not disappoint! We go every time we are in Park City.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory: We always hit Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory whenever we are in Park City – it’s one of Cody’s favorites. You can’t go wrong with anything there, but their caramel apples are

High West Distillery & Saloon: High West is a must see. It’s got that cool western saloon vibe and the distillery on site and the food does not disappoint.

Park City Trolley

Couple Outfits Hello Fashion Blog

Christine and Cody Andrew

DO

Trolley: There is a free trolley that takes you up and down Main Street. I love the old vintage feel of the trolley and the best part is it’s free!

Homestead Crater: Just a few minutes outside of Park City is the Homestead Crater! It’s a warm natural spring where you can snorkel, scuba, or just stick to swimming. We are taking the kids soon and can’t wait!

Get outside: For those staycations when you really want to get outdoors and see some amazing views, a hike in Park City is a must. Or if you want some cool sights without breaking a sweat, the gondola is a less strenuous trip to some great views.

Outdoor concerts: I love music so concerts are one of my favorite date night options. Add a beautiful spring or summer evening and you have a recipe for an unforgettable night. Park City has a bunch of great outdoor concerts lined up that would be perfect after catching dinner on your staycation.

Alpine Slide: This is a blast with the kids but even as adults Cody and I love  the Alpine Slides. You sit in a luge-like sled and slide down the mountain on the track. Cody and I both go on separate sides of the mountain and race down the hill. I lose every time. Cody’s not afraid to go full speed – he will fly around those corners!

Let me know if you make it to Park City and what some of your favorite spots are! And be sure to check out Cody’s post here.

Hey guys! How was your Mother’s Day?? I got home late from LA late Saturday and crashed hard! Cody and the kids woke me up to a breakfast feast! Cody makes amazing french toast it’s my favorite! The kids made these adorable pots they painted with cacti in them for Mother’s Day. I got teary eyed because homemade gifts are my favorite! Let’s just hope I can keep these cacti alive!! I somehow kill every plant!! (I try hard, but I swear they always somehow die!) So I laughed a little that Cody picked a plant that only dies if you water them too much. He knows me well 🙂 Wes put $1.75 in his card for us to go do something together because that was all of his money he could find. He seriously melts my heart how giving he is. He will give you everything he has! Love all of them so much!!

If you didn’t see on my insta I GOT TO MEET JESSICA ALBA at the conference this weekend (see pic here)! I freaked! I was so so excited! She was so nice and so beautiful in real life. I have been inspired by her for years so I was pretty excited! It was so much fun meeting so many of you guys too! That’s my favorite part of blogging is when I get to connect with you guys!

Hope you all have a great week! XX, Christine

TGIF!! Did you guys have yummy chips and guac for Cinco de Mayo?? We had eaten Mexican food for the last 3 meals and dinner time rolled around last night and we were like crap we’ve already had Mexican food for our last three meals do we go for four?? And we did it! I will never say no to chips and guac!

Today’s look is super laid back. These white slip ons I’ve worn in a lot of my insta posts are one of my favorites. I had them last year and bought them again this year because I wore so much they were very off white 🙂 and these bamboo tops are super comfy (under $50).

I am off to California again today to speak at Create and Cultivate! I am freaking out because I found out Jessica Alba is also speaking at the event and she is my all time favorite!! I am praying I get to run into her but I will probably totally freeze and not know what to say! So let’s just hope I don’t make an idiot out of myself 🙂 If you guys are there please come say Hi! I will be speaking in the afternoon talking about growing your audience and tips to analyzing your data and stats.

You can also follow along on snapchat and insta to catch more behind the scenes!

Happy early Mother’s Day weekend to all you mama, stepmamas, and grandmas out there!

3 Ways to Wear a Lace Skirt

DETAILS: BLUSH TRENCH (SIMILAR HERE) | PINK TEE (OLD – SIMILAR HERE AND HERE) | WHITE LACE SKIRT (SIMILAR UNDER $70 HERE) | NUDE SANDALS | TORTOISE SUNGLASSES | SILVER WATCH | NUDE TOTE

Ever since I got this lace scalloped skirt I want to wear it with everything… and I pretty much do! Haha. The scallop hem detail is so gorgeous and I love the contrast of a casual tee with a lace skirt to dress it down a little. Love this one under $30 and this is another great midi style for under $60. As much as it might seem like a statement piece, a lace skirt can be really versatile. Below are 3 of my favorite ways to wear it:

  1. Dressed down with a tee:  I love to balance a feminine skirt with a casual tee or a muscle tank and sandals. It totally throws your lace skirt into an unexpected direction.
  2. 9-to-5 ready: Lace can sometimes run the risk of being too sweet for the office but top it with a tailored blazer and you are good to go! You can belt it to turn it into a chic top or layer a striped button up under to add some detail.
  3. A little leather: And of course the ultimate way to toughen up any amount of lace: a leather jacket. Love this blush one and this one under $100.

So I wanted to share a few of my top picks from the sale at up to 40% off!

I love me some bikinis but I’ve been drawn towards one pieces lately! Love this black strappy number that shows just the right amount of skin. This is also a great fringe piece that is perfect for the beach or your upcoming summer vacations and you know I couldn’t get past the off-the-shoulder options without falling for one… how pretty is this one in ivory? I also am obsessed with this amazing blush tote. It’s such a pretty color and I love the knotted strap detail.

There are also a few pieces I’ve been featuring lately that just went on sale including this hat (last seen in this post) and these white slip-ons that I have been wearing non-stop lately. I also have this dress and got these gladiator sandals which you probably recognize from last summer when I wore them all the time – such a good buy!

COACHELLA: First Timers Guide

We survived Coachella! It had been on my bucket list for awhile so I was really excited to go. Cody and I both love music and love going to concerts so we decided to finally make the trip this year! There is a lot of things I learned from going and I wanted to share more of a “beginners guide” for going to the festival. I still would have been clueless on half of this stuff but we spent an hour talking to this kid who has gone 7 years in a row and gone both weekends every year. A true veteran!

1. Picking your Weekend.

Coachella runs for two weekends. I had no idea the two weekends were any different. The first weekend is when most people go: more events, parties, celebs, and guest artists with the bands (i.e. Disclosure had Lorde and Sam Smith the first weekend and the second weekend we were there the guests were people I didn’t know) The second weekend is nice if you want a little more laid back experience. It’s still really crowded but you don’t have as long of lines and it’s easier to get closer to the stage.

2. Where to Stay.

We booked our hotel about two months out. I had looked when we first got our tickets like 3-4 months ago and even in the month time I waited the rates went up like a hundred dollars a night. So as soon as you know you are going book your accommodations. One of my friends who also goes a lot said to get a good Airbnb you need to book like a year in advance. I kind of laughed when he first told me that but we tried to find a house before we got a hotel and it was slim pickings. You can also camp, the kid we talked to that’s gone every year said that’s what he always does. We stayed at the JW Mariott in Palm Desert. It’s about 20 minutes from Coachella. I had no idea when we booked but they have FLAMINGOS! I was so excited!! It was my first time seeing flamingos!

3. Timing.

Make sure you plan at least 45 mins for parking and walking before your first show. We didn’t realize it was going to take so long to park and we literally were running to get to our first show because it was someone we really wanted to see (Years and Years). If you want to get close to the stage you need to show up at least 15 minutes before the show starts for day shows and 20-30 minutes for the evening ones. The evening shows are way busier!

his and hers coachella style

4. Coachella

Use the Coachella app! It makes things so much easier putting your schedule together and seeing when bands play and wear. They also have lots of different lounges to hang out between events. We didn’t get to see all of them because we didn’t realize what they were until the last day. We saw a big tent with Heineken on it and the line was insane! We thought it was just the beer gardens are we were like dang I can’t believe people are waiting that long just to get a drink, we later found out it was an AC-ed lounge where guest artists came and played. I guess Kayne had gone and played and a bunch of other people.

The food is also really good at the event! The frozen lemonade and popsicles (get watermelon!) were our favorite, but all the food was really good. It is kind of pricey like a piece of pizza was $9 I think, but you kind of expect that being at an event.

4. What to wear.

I thought I was being super smart packing flat/low heels boots. One of the pairs was new and I wore them around the house for an hour before we left and they didn’t hurt my feet at all. Well add 6 hours of walking I had the two worst blisters on two of my toes and I wanted to cry! Thankfully they had a general store you could buy bandaids, but I literally ended up going bare foot part of the night cause my feet hurt so bad. So gross I know! That being said – wear old shoes you know are comfortable, flats, or sandals. These gladiators worked great!

Insta Ready

DETAILS: SWEATSHIRT | DOUBLE BUCKLET BELT |  DISTRESSED SHORTS | BB CONTOUR STICK

You guys have seen this contour stick on my snapchat a couple times. It’s genius especially for traveling or when you have to get ready on the go. It’s a highlighter and contour all in one! I just kept this in my purse for quick touch ups.

Couple other tips:

  • at night the weather drops quite a bit so tie a long sleeve or wear a light weight kimono or jacket so you have an extra layer at night
  • bring a bandana! It gets super windy and dusty so bring a bandana to cover your face and keep the dirt out. Either way your going to get dirty! But it helps.

In the morning or afternoon before the shows go see the wind turbines they are so cool!! Another first for me but it was probably one of my favorite things!

We had such a great time! It was our first weekend with out the kiddos that wasn’t a work trip in 2 years! We obviously missed the kids a ton, but it was so much fun having some us time 🙂
