Decorating for fall is one of my favorite things ever! Well holiday decorating in general! We love going to the pumpkin patch as a family multiple times each year, but sometimes it’s easier just to hit up the grocery store when you’re anxious to make your front porch feel extra festive!  I think everyone can agree that 😉 I stopped by TJ’s the other day after work and loaded my trunk with pumpkins. They have the best pumpkin selection and pumpkin flavored everything 😉

I have been really drawn to all black looks lately. I feel like the older I get the more I opt for classic pieces I can wear multiple seasons.. The outfit might look “fancier”, but keeping it all black and simple made is so easy and effortless to get ready! This comfy black dress, black bag and boots are quality staples that I know I will wear over and over. Just add a big cozy jacket to it and you are set for a chilly day! This coat is probably the softest thing I own, it’s faux fur which makes me really happy too 😉

I can’t believe that 2018 is just a few short days away. Where has this year gone?! I’m always in denial when the holiday ends so I love this time between Christmas and New Years when it’s like an unspoken understanding that the last thing on anyone’s mind is working or being productive. That’s what January 1st is for, right? haha. I always look forward to the New Year’s Eve festivities, especially for dressing up! Step out of your typical day and go crazy with fun metallics and textures, or just try something new. For a casual, festive look you can’t go wrong with a fun top. I’m obsessed with this metallic bodysuit (similar here), and it’s even prettier in person. Happy Monday! Hope you guys had a great weekend. Cody and B went on a little father- son road-trip together this weekend! We have both were close to our parents growing up so we like to spend one on one time with the kids on our own. It was a good weekend for me to catch up on laundry and a million other things before we are off on our next trip later this week. For some reason it seems like the weekends you have the most to do are the ones you feel like doing anything else, am I right lol! Saturday morning I got an urge to go skydiving and literally hours later one of my best friends and I were jumping (or getting pushed 😉 out of the plane. It definitely gave me a rush that lasted through the weekend but of course all day Sunday I’m still playing catch up. (Well worth it!) So this “Less Monday More Sunday” sweatshirt  (and this short sleeve version) sums up my thoughts this week pretty well. I love Mondays and love waking up with that itch to get back to work, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t trade a few hours for a longer Sunday afternoon. 😉

I love the look of short hems with over-the-knee boots so while the seasons are still transitioning it’s the perfect excuse to procrastinate putting those shorts away for a few more weeks. Throw on a sweatshirt and leather jacket and it’s the perfect look for those warm/cold fall days!

An over-the-knee boot is officially a staple for your fall and winter wardrobes. Stuart Weitzman’s are literally my favorites – I own them in multiple colors and styles. They’re an investment piece for sure, but I still have my first pair I bought 3 years ago and they are in perfect condition (make sure to waterproof your boots so they last longer.)

I just added this Tieland boot and love the stacked block heel – it’s one of the big trends this season and the perfect middle ground between the high-heeled over-the-knee boot and the flat boots.

I’m sure you are all fully aware of my “slight” obsession with neutrals this season. 😉 You also might not be too surprised that I definitely consider a good pastel pink another neutral haha. I am totally obsessed with this lace top. It’s absolutely gorgeous and to be honest it’s even better in person! I also got the dress version here – so pretty!

Cody and I made it to Coachella! It’s the first vacation we have had just us in 2 years! I’m excited for a weekend getaway with my babe but it feels so weird being away from the kids! I think it’s important to have a little a lone time though 🙂 I was laughing so hard last night, I was running late and had asked Cody to load my camera for me before we left Utah and he legit wrapped it in diapers and put it in my bag lol. I was dying!

Quick post today. Hope you all had a good weekend! Today’s look is about mixing textures: dots against leather, against fur, against quilted boots. The different shapes and textures help create dimension to the minimal look. You’ve seen a lot of these pieces in recent outfits, but they are all so versatile. I’ve really been trying to focus on buying pieces that can be worn multiple ways. I just got these leather pants and they are beyond comfortable, 100% worth the investment. This dotted sheer blouse is so perfect for layering (last seen in this post) and these boots are one of my favorite fall buys so far!
