Obsessed with this dress! I love the flowy high low shape and mixed stripe with chambray – not to mention it’s the perfect color for the 4th and very 90’s! It’s a loose fit  so I ordered it in an XS -I would say size down if you’re in between sizes. I paired it with this festive red and blue tote bag – love the color combo but the woven detail is so good to bring in some texture and interest to your outfits yearround.

How good is this crochet crop top! It’s under $100 and a one size fits all top. Such a cute option for the 4th and also doubles as a swim coverup top. I paired it with this oversized Isabel Marant tote bag with the red logo for a festive touch. It’s a great size for a summer picnic or watching fireworks at the beach. These denim shorts are a great fit and i’m wearing the 25 here. I rolled the bottom of them up but you can also wear them down for more coverage.

THIS TOP!!!! Honestly this brand is just so good. Love the crop with the string ties. It’s more of a sophisticated, dressed up option for your 4th festivities. It’s also under $100 which is a steal. I paired it with these oversized denim jeans (under $60).  Think blue kitten heel and red lip to keep it dressed up but still festive.

Ordered this red shirt for Cody to wear on the 4th, he was super impressed with how soft the material is and loves the red and blue colors. These blue swim trunks are great if you’ll be swimming or by the beach for the holiday, they are under $70!  I included these navy blue Vejas tennis shoes that are under $200 so the whole family could coordinate with matching shoes 🙂

Tennis date night! Nothing like bonding while breaking a sweat 🥰

Date nights have been a little bit different lately for everyone – not your typical dinner and a movie. Cody and I have been trying to switch things up a bit and put our heads together to get creative. Dates are so important, and even more so now! A lot of couples are spending more time than ever, but rubbing elbows working in a confined space together, helping out with chores around the house, etc. is way different than quality, date time together. One thing Cody & I have been trying to do lately is get outside and be active for our dates. I’ve actually loved it more than your usual date because we really focus on each other more and feels great to take advantage of beautiful days by moving around!

Couples who workout together stay together right? The other day we decided to dust off our tennis rackets and go get a little competitive. Cody is the most athletic person I know – he is so good at everything he tries, which makes it impossible to really compete with him haha but it’s fun to try. It was such a fun memory too, so I wanted to put together some other active date ideas to try:

1. Rollerblading.
2. Pool Olympics. Our kids insist on getting in on this one!
3. Basketball. I grew up playing basketball, so I get a little more competitive with Cody on this one, haha.
4. Garage sale challenge. A great way to minimize your home too – see who can gather the most objects!
5. Take a new workout class together.
6. Physical fitness test.  A blast from the past – did anyone else have to do physical fitness tests in elementary school?
7. Outdoor ninja warrior course. The set up is just as fun as actually running the course, not to mention watching each other attempt it haha.
8. Scavenger hunt. Have you and your partner create one then compare whose was the most fun!
9. Pickleball. A must try if you haven’t ever played – so fun.
10. Evening hike. Build a bonfire when you get to your destination!
11. Minute to win it challenges. Pinterest has great MTW ideas!
12. Croquet. This is one of my fams all-time favs!
13. Geocaching. Download the app or look up a nearby geocache online!
14. Teach each other something new.
15. Nerf fun war. The kids love to get in on this one too!
16. DIY mini-golf course. Try and see how complicated you can make each hole.
17. Fishing.
18. Make a Time Capsule. I love these so much- it’s so fun to go back and look at how much you’ve changed over the years.
19. Tennis.
20. Try a 2 person fitness challenge. We love to do team sit up with Ollie! He loves it so much!

I have always been a sneaker girl, but the more pregnant I get, the more I’m living in sneakers. 😉 Cody and I just got these matching throwback white sneakers. I love coordinating with Cody and sneakers are one of the few things he gets on board to match with haha. These classic white Reeboks are the perfect throwback for this season and super versatile. I actually got the kids some too because I loved them so much!

Here are some of my favorite ways to style them into your day-to-day looks:

Cody isn’t much of a shopper – well he kind of is, but his version is like 20 minutes in and out of a store and he gets frustrated if they won’t have everything he’s looking for. So, whenever I hear him talking about wanting new jeans, I’ll usually just order a bunch of stuff online for him. Here are 3 staples to ‘Add to Cart’ for your guys’ next wardrobe refresh.

1. Denim. Ok, Cody and I agree on most things, but denim length is not one of them. Cody lives in denim so I ordered him a few 512 Levi’s in different washes – these in the Sin City wash and the Dark Hollow wash, and also got this stretch option in the Kilt wash. I keep trying to convince him to get a shorter fit (size 32 length) but he is stuck on the 34 length so I ordered a few options in both lengths. We ended up keeping these two washes (Dark Hollow and Sin City) and then one of each length. Every guy needs some casual, lighter options and then a nice dark wash they can transition to dinner or the office with a nice suit jacket and dress boot.
2. A Better-Than-Basic Tee. You can never go wrong with a great tee when shopping for your guy. I was so excited to surprise Cody with this custom personalized Levi’s tee with his initials! It’s subtle but still a great detail to make it the first tee he goes for when getting ready. It gives you a couple options for placement and comes in 3 more colors (also only $30! A steal for a customized item). It fits true to size – Cody’s wearing a size L. 
3. Layers He’ll Love. I saw this hoodie denim jacket online and immediately loved it. It’s got a super casual, relaxed feel and what guy says no to a hoodie? It’s a great layer when you are out running errands or for a low-key date night. I also ordered this trucker jacket in Berkman – Black. It’s a really dark black wash, not faded at all, so it reads a little more polished. It also comes in a dozen different washes and it’s under $100.

TGIFFFFF!! What are you guys up to this weekend? The holidays always bring the hustle and bustle of events and work and family parties don’t forget to make time to spend with your SO just you two! Some months I’m super good at making sure we get “us” time and other times we struggle. For Cody and I our date nights usually consist of dinner and a movie, which we both love doing together! But it can be fun to switch things up once in a while for a night out with your significant other and do things that you wouldn’t maybe normally do. Here’s 2o ideas for dates that aren’t so typical!

1. Binge Watch Netflix: Order some takeout, snuggle up on the couch and spend the night in. Have you guys seen the show Designated Survivor? It’s our new favorite lately!
2. Make A Scavenger Hunt: Be creative and come up with different clues that take you both back to special places, inside jokes or anything else that will give you both a walk down memory lane.
3. Go To A Cooking Class: Many restaurants, grocery stores and even colleges offer cooking classes for couples. Then you can save money in the future by making fancy dinners at home rather than going out!
4. Make A Candlelight Dinner At Home: Put those cooking skills to the test now 😉
5. Go To An Arcade: We have a nickel arcade in Utah and its super fun to go play games, get a bunch of tickets and win cheesy stuff.
6. Find A Workout Class: Couples that sweat together stay together right? Find a class near you that you both have tried before, spin, zumba, kickboxing, anything else that gets your endorphins flowing!
7. Play Tourist: Go to the most popular restaurant in town, visit a famous landmark or anything else your city is known for.
8. Recreate Your First Date: If you went out for dinner, go to the same restaurant or watch the same movie you went out to!
9. Have A Game Night: Monopoly deal is our favorite right now.
10. Do A DIY Project Together: Find something on Pinterest like a craft or home project and try to recreate it!
11. Try Something You’ve Both Never Done Before: Sometimes the best dates involve doing something that neither of you have done before. Find a class or restaurant you’ve never been to and see how you end up liking it.
12. Have A 5 Course Dinner At 5 Different Places: Go to a different restaurant for each course of your meal! Somewhere for appetizers, entrees and dessert!
13. Wake Up Early And Watch The Sunrise Together: Not all dates need to be at night!
14. Bake Something: Bake cookies, a cake or anything else your sweet tooth desires! Any activity that involves eating is my kinda date 😉
15. Do The Other Persons Favorite Hobby/Activity: What is something your S/O loves? Whether they’re into yoga or sporting events or anything else, they will love that you’re taking the time to do one of their favorite things with them!
16. Shop For Each Other: Set up a budget, even just $5 or $10 and try to pick out something that reminds you of the other person.
17. Go On A Mini Road Trip: Find a destination not too far from where you live and make a day out of it!
18. Get Dressed Up And Have A Fancy Night Out: When’s the last time you got all dressed up and had a night on the town? Go to a fancy restaurant or even rent your dream car for the weekend!
19. Go On A Hike: Free dates can be the best kind of dates!!
20. Volunteer Together: Make a point sometime to opt for a meaningful date rather than a traditional one. Volunteer at a soup kitchen or nursing home It will be such a great experience to share together!

A few weeks ago,  we got to celebrate one of my best friends on her most special wedding day!! Whitney started working with me five years ago, and she became like family. Her big day couldn’t have been more magical. Her wedding was up in the mountains at the prettiest lodge in Utah. The ceremony was outdoors and then there was a beautiful dinner inside. The decorations and flowers were so stunning!! I was dying over all the little details. She has such an amazing creative eye and it was so cool seeing all her hard work come to life! She looked so beautiful!! And can we talk about her veil and the fresh flowers she had in it?! So beautiful! 

I got a lot of questions about what we wore to the event, and I had just got home from fashion week so I ran to the mall a couple hours before the wedding to find a dress! I saw this and didn’t even look at price and when I went to check out It was under $20!!! I was shocked! and is perfect for any special occasion you have coming up. Beckam’s suit is currently sold out in the color he’s wearing, but I just ordered another one in a different color here!

I might have one too many pairs of jeans in my closet, but denim never disappoints! I can’t help but to always be on the lookout for more great pairs to add to my closet. I was so excited to find these washed out 7 For All Mankind pink jeans! They’re unlike anything else I have right now and are actually really wearable and go with more things than I thought they would. Usually when you think of fall you think of dark colors and neutrals, but pinks and pastels are really in this season and aren’t going anywhere anytime soon! I love the pink on pink trend too and loved how the jeans looked with an oversized sweater. They also look good with a neutral top if you want to tone it down a little bit.

When it comes to Cody and his jeans, he just wants a pair that are super stretchy and comfy. Enter these grey jeans! He loves how comfortable they are and likes that they have a nice slim fit without being too tight. The color is perfect for him to wear now and through fall and winter!

Happy Monday guys!! How was your weekend? Ever since it’s started warming up here we can’t help but to be outside as much as possible. These pics were from last week, One of B’s favorite things to do lately is ride his bike around the neighborhood (before everyone freaks out about not having his helmet one- he has one and wears it!! He just wanted to show our friends his new bike before Cody went to dinner with his friends 🙂 On laid back days like this I totally go for my typical mom uniform which usually includes comfy jeans (these are under $100) and a good basic tank. These distressed jeans are so comfy and I love wearing them with more casual outfits. I’m also obsessed with these layered necklaces (here and here) and have been wearing them with everything!

This weekend Mara and Wes were over (I always get so many dm’s asking why they aren’t in more pics, or who these new kids in my insta stories are lol, so I know I sound like a broken record but they are my step babies and we only have them part time 🙂 We started doing yard work this weekend, and some spring cleaning getting ready to have people over! We have a covered patio in the back on the second floor of our house and we haven’t done anything with it since we moved in, it had patio furniture I bought the summer before but we were gone so much it never got assembled 🙈 so this weekend we cleaned it all up and finally put the furniture together! I had this fun idea to build a tent and camp outside on the patio, sleep under the stars with the kids and eat popcorn all night. It was going to be perfect, so we borrowed my sister in laws tent, attempted to set it up – Cody and I ended up arguing over how to put up the tent half way into it lol, realized it wouldn’t stay up super well because it’s on a patio and we don’t have dirt to secure it down to, so needless to say my picture perfect tent night under the stars turned into a disgruntled mess! Ha! Cody and I ended up laughing about it because I think as a parent sometimes we create these “special” moments in our head of what we want something to be, and it doesn’t work out! So the next night, Cody pulled our mattresses onto the deck and set up the tv with popcorn and blankets all sweet to surprise us. We started to watch The Wizard of Oz, and realized how noisy it was and that we all get allergies haha – we bagged it again.

Now everyone is asleep in our room and I’m wide awake for some reason, watching reruns of The Office, and just thinking about how thankful I am for family…. anyways – have you guys had one of those moments you build up in your head and it doesn’t quite work out 😉

One of my favorites aspects of blogging is getting to be creative – I love when brands give a theme or concept and we get to create a story! David Yurman’s holiday collection was “Enchanted Forest” so we came up with this beautiful snowy mountain escape. Obviously I don’t get dressed up in a gown to go explore mountain tops any old day, but it was so fun to shoot something magical for one of my favorite jewelry brands.

A lot of times during the holidays I end up giving a lot of little gifts that I find randomly throughout the holidays, and usually by the time I’m done I spend as much as I would have if I had just splurged on one special investment gift. A David Yurman piece is something you will wear forever so it’s a perfect gift for the special people in your life. Cody loves their bracelets and I’m obsessed with all their pieces from the Silver Sensations gift shop, especially rings – love this crossover one and these pretty earrings.

Happy Friday! I’m excited to be sharing these looks that Cody and I wore to the Tommy Hilfiger show at LFW last week!  The Tommy Hilfiger show is ALWAYS my favorite show of the season so I was really really excited when they flew us out for the event. It was actually my first time to London Fashion Week and Tommy Hilifger’s first time presenting in London, so I was really honored to be able to attend.

The theme for the show was a rocker 80’s vibe so I wanted to play up the Rolling Stone’s tee with a feminine but old school rocker vibe. We are seeing plaid everywhere this season (Tommy released a bunch of great plaid pieces this season – obsessed with this blazer and this coat) so I went with this pretty plaid coat with the bold fur trim paired with a graphic tee.

The show as always didn’t disappoint! The collection was so much different than any of the other’s he’s done before. A darker color palette than his typical red, white and blue. Lot’s of blacks and urban style pieces. There was this black leather jacket with bold red fur trim that was my favorite from the show! SO OBSESSED! We are working on finishing a video we shot for the show so more to come there! At the end of the show the chainsmokers (one of my favorites!) performed and it since the show was a smaller intimate event we were able to get right to the front! I was fan girling 🙂

Whenever I’m looking for pieces that are versatile enough to work for multiple occasions, it’s all about structure and comfort. Hey guys! I’ve talked about it before but having alone time with your significant other is so important. Make time for it! Especially once you have kids, that time together is so important because life gets way more chaotic the older they get!

I’ve gotten a lot of a comments and emails from you guys about date ideas when you are on a budget, or when you have kids at home and can’t always get a sitter. So I wanted to put a list together of some fun ways to spend a romantic night in:

1. Try something new. For us it’s cooking. We are both not the best cooks. When you can’t rely on your cooking skills, you for sure need to invest in good cookware so we just got this Lagostina set. It’s comical because we are such beginners we were making this Italian chicken dish the other night and we literally had to google how to crush garlic because we weren’t sure if there was a specific technique or what?! (so embarrassing!) We got halfway through and realized we didn’t have a brush for the olive oil and bruschetta, and improvised with garlic cloves and tomatoes to spread the olive oil across the bread.  Honestly I feel like it’s those moments that make an experience more memorable. Having everything come easy and run smoothly is boring, it’s the funny mishaps that are memorable! We’ve also had those times when we plan to stay in for a romantic night and the kids just don’t stay occupied (or asleep if it’s their bedtime) – you can incorporate them and have them act as servers or put them on clean up duty so they get to participate. The Lagostina pots is dishwasher safe so it makes clean-up easy.
2. Youtube dance lessons. You can take this as silly or as seriously as you want to, but either way sounds like so much fun!
3. Make your own board game. Cody does this with the kids all the time but it works great for adults too! Pick up a game from the dollar store (we picked up a travel sized Chutes & Ladders last time) and grab some small pieces of paper (we use old business cards) to make funny ‘chance’ cards. Every time you land on an odd number, for example, you have to draw a chance card which might have something funny or a chore, etc. For date night at home, your chance cards could be anything from giving a 5 minute massage to a 2-second make-out, etc. (You can make it as PG or non-PG as you want 🙂
4. Have a cook-off! Whether it’s a full meal or just dessert, pick a couple recipes and see who can make it better or invite some of your couple friends over for a cook-off! You might need to recruit some unbiased judges, which is another fun way to involve the kids if they won’t stay in bed ;).
5. Build a fort & binge-watch a new show.  Cody is a master for builder! We love to string lights around our forts and make it overflowing with pillows and cozy blankets. We love finding new shots, and one of our favorites is The Night Of. It’s a little dark at some parts, but it’s really good! We watched 5 episodes in one night. For a laugh, we love King of Queens. It’s an old school classic, but the way they jokingly argue kind of reminds me and Cody of the way we banter so it’s a good, easy show to watch.
6. Blind taste test.  You can either pick up some fun treats at the store that you think will stump each other or have fun quizzing each other on ingredients you already have at home.
7. Bubble Bath and Your Favorite Playlist.  Baths are one of the best ways to relax! You can make it extra romantic by making a playlist with some of your favorite songs from your relationship. You can also stick a bath bomb in your S/O’s bag when they leave in the morning with a note that says “Bubble Bath: you & me – tonight.” or think of other ways to build it up for them.

Happy Monday guys!! Cody and I are in California with the family this week for a couple of the Fashion Week presentations that moved from NY to LA. I am actually really excited to be in the warmer weather of California. Valentine’s is around the corner! Typically I’ve always gone with a cute red dress or classic red and black combo (which you can never go wrong with!) but this year I wanted to do something a little different so I opted for this beautiful white dress. I love the elegant, timeless white and I’m obsessed with this ruffle detail – they are having such a moment right now. Also obsessed with this white cross body.  It’s so easy to bring in that classic red Valentine’s accent with a red or pink lip, nail color, or shoe to tie the whole look together.

1. Cody still opens the car door for me every time we go somewhere together. Even if we are mad at each other over something dumb, he will walk over silently haha and still open it.
2. I am an only child and Cody comes from a family of 10! He has 8 brothers and sisters. Both our families are really close. My cousins and aunt and uncle all live a block away from my parents house so even though I don’t have brothers and sisters, we were all super close growing up. I love that Cody has a big family! All of his brothers and sisters have 3-5 kids so when we all get together our group is close to 50 people!
3. 50/50. Cody is so helpful around the house. He cooks and cleans as much as I do (maybe more lol). He thinks he’s a bad cook, but he’s actually a really good cook! We like to try new meals but have a hard time thinking of what to make so we like to get those ones where they send all the ingredients and recipe to your house.
4. Daily Debates. Cody and I are both strong willed, and really competitive. It’s almost comical now, anything we see from guessing a TV actor, directions to a restaurant, or time it takes to get somewhere, we place a 5 minute back rub bet on it.
5. Foot Rubs is both one of our all time favorite things!
6. I HATE scary movies. Like I am the biggest scaredy-cat of all time. We were at a movie a couple weeks ago with our friends and Cody told me it wasn’t scary (LIE!) and I literally hid under his jacket for the last 20 minutes and plugged my ears hahaha. I’m such a baby!
7. Always make time for each other! Cody and I still try and go on a date night every week. Honestly it probably happens about 3 out of the 4 weeks a month because sometimes life just gets busy. But we’ve both made it priority to take time doing something fun with each other weekly.

Sometimes when you’ve been married for a while it’s easy to let things slide. You forget to be as romantic as you were when you were first dating. We get caught up in the kids, work, day to day, and sometimes our relationship misses out on that TLC. Not on purpose of course 🙂 I’m thankful that Cody and I are both committed to each other. Don’t get me wrong we do not have a “perfect relationship” we drive each other crazy some days because we’re both so stubborn lol but he always knowns how to make me laugh and I’m so thankful to have him!

Cody always goes out of his way to surprise me with different things and sometimes I take for granted even the littlest things. With Valentine’s around the corner I wanted to share five of my favorite things Cody has done to surprise me.

1. Mio: Our puppy was probably one of my favorite surprises! Cody had just hit a big goal at work and he asked me what I wanted to do to celebrate. I said whatever I’m easy. I came home a couple days later to flowers and a really, really sweet card about how much he appreciated my support and help. I was excited with that! He asked me to grab something out of our room, and I opened the door to the cutest little puppy sleeping on our bed. I started screaming and crying with excitement! I had never had a dog before and always wanted one so it was really special!
2. Jewelry: Cody has gotten me a couple different jewelry pieces through out our relationship and they always come with a special meaning. They are engraved or hold a special memory, and I love them not because they are jewelry, but because they hold a special memory and when I wear them they stay near to my heart.
3. Just Because: Some of the best gifts come when they are least expected. The flowers he brings home just because, or the notes he leaves me on the bathroom mirror. I love the surprises where I really have no idea! One day he sent five different bouquets through out the day with a memory of something special to go with each one. I balled my eyes out lol. I am such a cryer haha.
4. Romantic Song: This started when we were dating. We both love music, so Cody will find romantic songs or songs that hold some sort of meaning to us and will text me the videos to watch through out the day. I’m still trying to convince him to learn to play the piano so he can sing them to me 😉
5. Treasure Hunt: When Cody and I were dating, he arranged an elaborate treasure hunt with cards awaiting me at each stop leading from one place to the next: Starbucks, inside jokes, my favorite lunch spot, shopping spree, our favorite place to look over the city with a CD of all our songs (haha how much does that age me, who has CD’s really anymore :), ending in dinner and cinnamon rolls waiting for me at home. It is still one of my all-time favorite dates (although admittedly I was convinced there would be an engagement ring waiting on the other end, but the cinnamon rolls were a close second ?

Cody always puts so much thought into all his gifts – he really is the best gift giver! I’m obsessed with these bracelets from David Yurman. There are different hidden messages wrapped in wire, like I love you, Je T’aime and Te Amo – I’m such a sucker for details!  I’m also soooo obsessed with this stacked ring – so pretty! Today through Sunday when you make a qualifying purchase at David Yurman you can also send a free bouquet of flowers to your S/O from the Bouqs. They also have a great selection for guys. Cody loves their cuffs and bracelets and wears and stacks them all the time from his day looks to dressier attire, so they also make a great gift for men too.

It’s officially 2017! The new year came so fast! New Year’s always leaves me really really excited! A chance for a new start, new goals, and time to reflect on what I’m thankful for from the previous year and what I want to improve moving forward. 2016 was probably one of my most exciting years yet! Cody and I set BIG goals starting last year, personal goals, travel goals, goals to grow the blog and ILY and almost every goal we set we hit. We worked our asses off, but at the end of the year honestly I felt so emotionally exhausted. We were putting in long hours, many all nighters, and at the end of the day it felt like I didn’t get to enjoy the journey because I was pushing so hard to hit those goals.

Reflecting back on last year, I’ve realized that a lot of times when you feel like you are overwhelmed, so much of it is mental – it all starts with a mindset. I let myself get overwhelmed with that feeling of being “so busy” that I didn’t just sit down and enjoy moments. A lot of times even when I was home my mind was constantly running and I was never able to shut anything off. I realized that if you are working hard and not balancing the rest of your life, life just becomes work and there’s no point to working hard when you aren’t taking time to enjoy it.

With that said, below are a couple of my New Year’s goals for this year. We are taking a different approach to things and working more on improving the little day to day things that affect everything else we do.

1. READ MORE. One of my big goals for this year is to read more. I’ve realized it’s easy for me to get distracted and overwhelmed mentally so I’ve been reading positive and inspiring books even just for 15 minutes a day to keep me on track. I just got a book that talks about being effective with your time and I’ve already taken so many parts to heart.
2. RELAX. Last year even when I would be relaxing, taking a bath at night, I’d be in the tub with my phone responding to emails, getting posts ready, etc. The book I’ve been reading talks about deliberately setting aside that time to relax, otherwise you never get a chance to recharge. So I’ve literally been turning my phone to silent and putting it in another room so I don’t get distracted and actually relax. Not only does learning to relax help you recharge but allows you to be more present in the moment.
3. BE PRESENT. I really debated sharing this, because it was probably one of my lowest “mom moments”, but I always strive to be honest with you guys, even in the hard times because life isn’t perfect. A few weeks ago I was on my phone finishing a deadline and B kept asking me to play tennis with him, I kept telling him to hold on I was almost done. After about 5 minutes of not being done, he started a major melt down crying, telling me to put my phone down, that I don’t pay attention to him. It was such a hard mom moment! It literally broke my heart. I threw my phone down and in tears gave him the biggest hug and just put everything else aside to be with him that afternoon. Sometime’s I forget how much they are really watching our every move. It is one of the hard parts of working from home, is that the kids see me working more but I realized this goes back to time blocking. Being effective with my time so when I am with them it’s quality time. I know I wasn’t present in many areas this last year, with my family, Cody, friends, etc. I don’t say that for you guys to build me up, I say that because I see it almost everywhere I go. We are all glued to our phones and it’s kind of sad in reality. I love what I do and am so grateful to be able to make a career out of something I’m passionate about, but no career is worth those bad mom moments so I’m making this year all about being more present.
4. TIME BLOCKING. This was actually something we started last month we are bringing into this year. It is crazy how fast the day flies by and how easy it is to get distracted. We all get a million notifications on our phone from emails, social media, texts, calls, etc. I’ll be the first to admit I am easily distracted haha. So Cody and I both have started blocking out our days to effectively get things done. Certain times for certain projects.Whatever doesn’t get done, we have to wake up early the next day and finish. We have carried it over to our employees as well and it’s crazy how much more effective you are if you just set a timer to get something done.
5. BEING ACTIVE. This is like a month to month thing for me, some months I’m really good at it and others I’m so bad. This book I’m reading cited all sorts of studies that show that even just 30 minutes of activity, 3 days a week positively affects almost every aspect of your life: health, happiness, love life – everything! It’s so easy to stay cuddled up inside, especially in the dead of winter, but with your New Year’s goals just getting started it’s the best time to start those habits and carve out at least 30 minutes 3 times a week to be active, whether it’s going to the gym, walking, or trying yoga or spin class.

Ok, sorry for the novel! I’ve spent so much time reflecting on last year and what I want for this year and it’s so helpful to put it into words – I swear writing it out makes it seem that much more attainable. What are some of your goals for the year?
