This nude dress is under $30 and super versatile for everyday wear. I love that the side ties are adjustable to so you can loosen or tighten depending on the length you want it. I wanted a dress that hit at the same length as the blazer and this was so perfect to be able to adjust to the exact length that I wanted. I was blown away by this designer look-a-like saddle bag I found – the quality is amazing! I ordered both the tan and black but thought the black looked a little more expensive in real life. It’s under $50 and has two straps so you can wear it as a crossbody with the longer strap or as a shoulder bag with the shorter strap.

You guys know how much I love handbags. I feel like bags and shoes get the most wear and make the biggest statement. There was a time when I was investing in and building up my designer bag collection, getting a few new designer bags a year. But then I went through a phase I wasn’t really inspired or in love with a lot of the new bags until this year! There have been so many cute bags out this year. The second I saw this one I fell in love, the linen 🤩 it’s even more beautiful in person. Saks has had the best selections this year. I also grabbed this cute denim shoulder bag – definitely a more budget-friendly price point and I love the 90s shoulder bag silhouette!

I’ve been so drawn to color this year, I wanted to share some brands I’m loving right now. These are all major statement-making brands, especially their summer collection, that would be a worthy focal point in any closet. Here are some of my favorites!

FARM RIO – These tropical and floral prints are the things dreams are made of – you can help but smile in their pieces. Love all the silhouettes too – some full sleeve, long sleeve, short sleeve, one shoulder, off the shoulder, cross back – a little bit of everything! These dresses are a must for any beach getaways you have planned.

SIGNIFICANT OTHER – Think feminine, flattering dresses and matching sets in the best prints and colors! I first tried this brand a few months ago when I ordered this top and loved it even more in person.

PATBO – This collection speaks for itself. Every single piece feels like it belongs on the Italian Coast or on a yacht on Lake Como. Honestly, I can’t even put it into words. Stunning, thoughtful cut-outs, statement cropped tops and swimwear, gorgeous prints and colors – truly one of the most amazing designers for summer!

STAUD – This brand feels a little more youthful and fun – from 90s shoulders bags to these pretty sandals to fresh color blocking. Also, most of their pieces are a pretty good price point for such high quality. Also ordered this cute matching track set – love the texture variation for each leg!

ACLER – These dresses will make anyone feel like $1m and every detail is perfection. Each silhouette feels so fresh and current – great options for wedding guest dresses too!

AGUA BY AGUA BENDITA: Another brand with gorgeous, art-like prints but their color palettes feel a little simpler (at least in comparison to Farm Rio). Also love their swimwear!

CULT GAIA: This has been one of my go-tos for summer style – from their gorgeous swimsuits to statement shoes to bags that you’ll want to wear all summer. It definitely leans more towards neutrals, but this summer has some new colorful finds. (Also obsessed with their dresses this season!)

ALICE & OLIVIA: I’ve been wearing this brand for years, but their summer collection is better than ever so I had to share. Their neons are breathtaking and dresses are stunning (also love this one). Great designer for everything from dresses to workwear to activewear (their biker shorts are 😍😍).

ZIMMERMANN: Another tried and true designer but no list of statement-making brands would be complete without Zimmermann. It’s always the first designer I search when I’m looking for a statement dress for easter or a new show-stopping swimsuit. Each piece is designed with the most intricate details, beautiful patterns and prints, and always such feminine silhouettes. Also, always an investment but one that will pay off.

It’s a fun statement accessory and perfect to take down to the pool or beach if you’re packing light.

I paired them with this knit tank which is another one of my favorite finds. It’s super versatile and so easy to style (also under $20!).

Yesterday was just one of those days where even the simplest moments feel like heaven. Chalk it up to the kids being out of school or feeling like summer is finally here – either way I had such a fun time just hanging out at the mall with Beckam and Ollie! We’re heading out of town later this week and I needed to grab a few things for our trip, so it turned into a whole evening. We ran through the fountains and Beckam collected blank gift cards. It was so fun just to be able to walk around and enjoy shopping and the boys being silly. Beckam is so much fun to hang out with right now – I’m loving this age so much! He’s so silly and makes me laugh all the time. Love these moments together. XX

I always get so many questions on Ollie’s trike. It’s a trike meets stroller and the best thing ever! Cannot recommend it enough!

Ollie is as obsessed with the strawberry lemonade as his mom. If you haven’t tried the Nordstrom strawberry lemonade, it’s sooo good!

Beckam told me last night that he wants to be a dad when he grows up – so he wanted to push Ollie. ❤️❤️❤️

Almost didn’t see him there. 😉

Love this bag! It’s a great size and the zipper makes it perfect for a big carryall bag (especially for moms!) Under $50 – also ordered in tan!

It was so cute – he wanted to get a black backwards hat so he could match his dad on our trip. It’s crazy because he looks so much like his dad here too. He’s seriously his dad’s little twin.

1. SUMMER’S BEST-SELLING SCARF (UNDER $10)

Head scarves are the #1 accessory of the summer in my book! They are the most versatile piece and can be worn is so many ways: as a top (worn with this turquoise scarf), as a head wrap, in your hair, around your bag or even as a bag (I’ll be sharing this trick soon), as a belt, around your hat – the options are endless! I’m obsessed with the color of this scarf with the light pink on top with the contrast on the bottom.

2. ONE PIECE SWIM (UNDER $25)

You all have been asking for more one piece options and this one is a WIN WIN WIN. This cute one piece I ordered is under $25 and comes in a navy blue and a leopard print as well. The cinched waist is super flattering and you can adjust it to fit you just right! Neutral one pieces can also double as body suits so it’s a great way to get more wear out of it for beach trips etc. I accessorized the black one-piece with this pink scarf head wrap, sunnies, and this cute beaded necklace. Beaded jewelry is one of my favorites right now too – another great essential to have!

3. SUMMER DENIM SHORTS (UNDER $40)

What’s summer with out a cute pair of cut off denim shorts. These Levi cut-offs have been my go-to pair recently. I wear them in a size 27 for a more relaxed fit. These shorts JUST RESTOCKED so snag some while you can! They come in multiple washes and are the perfect length!

Last but not least, every girl deserves to find her perfect pair of sunglasses! I’ve been wearing these in black and tortoise non-stop since I got them. They are amazing Celine look-a-likes and under $15 so you don’t feel guilty trying them out.

Blazers are the best piece to transition pretty much any look! I stole this one from Cody’s closet, but any oversized blazer is perfect. Throw them over a pair of leggings and white sneakers, with some leggings and a cropped tee, or over a pair of sweat shorts. They completely change your look! If you wanted to dress up these pretty nude shorts for a night out, pair them with a simple black top and your fave oversized black blazer. I threw on some black sandals but you can also make it a heeled sandal for something even a little dressier.

I know bucket hats haven’t caught on all the way yet but they are definitely on the rise!

Cody always teases me for needing a full sized suitcase (or 2.. haha) no matter how long or short of a trip it is. I had a quick trip planned and decided to put myself to the test to see if I could scale it down to fit in a carry-on… Spoiler alert – I didn’t. 😂  But, I would have if I hadn’t packed my pillow! (Does anyone else have to pack their pillow when they travel to be able to get a good night’s sleep? 🙋‍♀️) But it still felt good to be able to scale down what I was packing to a few pieces to mix-and-match so here were some of my weekend getaway summer essentials:

CLOTHES:

DRESS (SIMILAR HERE)- Dresses are your best friend when you’re trying to squeeze a weekends’ worth of clothes and beauty products into a carry-on. They are an easy one and done piece. Love this pink dress! It’s a gorgeous color (perfect for Insta-worthy pics from your trip!) and the sleeves are sooo stunning! It’s also a really pretty material that you don’t have to steam after you unpack it. Super easy pieces to transition from pool side to dinner with the girls. Also love the silhouette of this one and how pretty is this one?

BIKER SHORTS – Summer is the season of biker shorts! For an easy, breezy look, pair some cute biker shorts with an oversized tank or tee and your favorite sandals and sunnies. (It also makes for a great travel look with an oversized sweatshirt and sneakers!) Obseeeeessed with this pretty floral pair – you can also get the matching top here.

SWIMWEAR:

MINIMAL TAN-LINES BIKINI TOP & BOTTOMS  – When I’m traveling with the family, I’m all about the kid-proof swimsuits – something I can swim in and be super active in without worrying about Ollie getting his hands on a strap. But for girl’s trips, it’s all about find suits that will leave the least tan lines. This bikini is so beautiful, and I love that you can wear the straps multiple ways – tied up as a halter or around your torso.

ACCESSORIES:

PLEATED MINI TOTE – Just discovered this brand and I am in love! The pleating detail is absolutely stunning in person. I wanted a mini one that would fit in my carry-on for the trip, but the bigger version is next on my list! Soooo good!

SUN HAT – Because #1, I need both good SPF and a sun hat if I’m going to be in the sun all day and #2, so cute! Love the frayed brim and it’s a great size to give you full shade from every angle.

OMBRE MAXI DRESS

After every trip to Hawaii, I always have a few DMs asking where we stayed, our favorite beaches, etc. Especially with spring break around the corner, I wanted to share a recap of our trip a couple weeks ago.  (I’ve shared a few recaps of where we’ve stayed and our favorite activities when we went as a family – this trip was more of an adult trip but I have multiple posts with guides on past Hawaii trips: a Maui Travel Guide, Oahu Family edition, and more of our Oahu faves here.)

Since I’ve shared a lot of our favorites in the past posts, I’m just going to highlight my favorites from this trip like what to eat, where to stay, and where to play (like beaches, hikes, etc. 🙂

Marriott Beach Club Ko Olina

This was our first time staying here. We did a two bedroom condo and shared it with Cody’s family. Its great if you are traveling with friends. They have a kitchen, so you can cook some of your meals if you want to, it’s nice for breakfast especially. The views are gorgeous, I love seeing the ocean, mountains and beach all right there. It’s a little ways from down town so it’s not as busy and you have private beaches just for the resort.

PLAY:

Kahauloa Cove

This cove reminded me so much of the beaches in Europe! It’s right down from Hanama Bay. The water was crazy clear and sooo pretty! We saw turtles and whales – one whale fully jumped out where you could see it’s entire body. I’ve never seen that from the beach before – one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen!

The Pillbox Hike (Lanikai)

This is one of our favorite hikes. The views are amazing and it’s pretty moderate – it’s a little less than 2 miles. We’ve also done with the kids but were able to go a little farther to the second view point just adults cause Beckam was like 4 when we went and got really tired. So depending on your kids age it could work with kids 🙂

When it broke 50 degrees in Salt Lake last week I started getting all the warm-weather clothes cravings. Here are some of the warm-weather ready pieces in my cart right now:

You guys know I’m a sucker for swimsuits. I’m obsessed with this black one-piece. The cut is so flattering and feminine and I love the belt detail! Also love all the bright colored swimsuits – this green one is such a pretty color and also love this ombre one piece. I’m in love with this floral bikini set. It’s a beautiful print and the sleeves are so stunning.

SANDALS:

These slides are under $100 and so pretty! Comes in a nude and also a rainbow combo here. Love! I also ordered these sandals in the leather- a great price point and super comfortable and it comes in multiple colors. Also found these under $25 and how pretty are these blue slides??

SPRING STYLE:

So many gorgeous dresses and pants out right now – I can’t get enough! This balloon sleeve dress is gorgeous and also love the full sleeves on this pastel dress. I’m also head over heels for this ombre maxi dress – every detail is insane! The color, the fabric, the buttons, the full sleeves. Obsessed! These pants are another one of my favorite finds right now. It’s a pretty knit and love the slits. Perfect to pair with a bodysuit or as a swimsuit cover up. And of course, accessories! How good is this straw bucket hat! I also found this visor for under $50.

Tennis date night! Nothing like bonding while breaking a sweat 🥰

Date nights have been a little bit different lately for everyone – not your typical dinner and a movie. Cody and I have been trying to switch things up a bit and put our heads together to get creative. Dates are so important, and even more so now! A lot of couples are spending more time than ever, but rubbing elbows working in a confined space together, helping out with chores around the house, etc. is way different than quality, date time together. One thing Cody & I have been trying to do lately is get outside and be active for our dates. I’ve actually loved it more than your usual date because we really focus on each other more and feels great to take advantage of beautiful days by moving around!

Couples who workout together stay together right? The other day we decided to dust off our tennis rackets and go get a little competitive. Cody is the most athletic person I know – he is so good at everything he tries, which makes it impossible to really compete with him haha but it’s fun to try. It was such a fun memory too, so I wanted to put together some other active date ideas to try:

1. Rollerblading.
2. Pool Olympics. Our kids insist on getting in on this one!
3. Basketball. I grew up playing basketball, so I get a little more competitive with Cody on this one, haha.
4. Garage sale challenge. A great way to minimize your home too – see who can gather the most objects!
5. Take a new workout class together.
6. Physical fitness test.  A blast from the past – did anyone else have to do physical fitness tests in elementary school?
7. Outdoor ninja warrior course. The set up is just as fun as actually running the course, not to mention watching each other attempt it haha.
8. Scavenger hunt. Have you and your partner create one then compare whose was the most fun!
9. Pickleball. A must try if you haven’t ever played – so fun.
10. Evening hike. Build a bonfire when you get to your destination!
11. Minute to win it challenges. Pinterest has great MTW ideas!
12. Croquet. This is one of my fams all-time favs!
13. Geocaching. Download the app or look up a nearby geocache online!
14. Teach each other something new.
15. Nerf fun war. The kids love to get in on this one too!
16. DIY mini-golf course. Try and see how complicated you can make each hole.
17. Fishing.
18. Make a Time Capsule. I love these so much- it’s so fun to go back and look at how much you’ve changed over the years.
19. Tennis.
20. Try a 2 person fitness challenge. We love to do team sit up with Ollie! He loves it so much!

I have been in a major sunglasses funk lately. It might sound weird, but a fresh pair of sunglasses can change the game. Hope you guys had a great Memorial Day weekend! I love a white swimsuit because it makes you look more tan than you actually are (I need all the help I can get after that long winter). The crinkle one piece is my all-time favorite swimsuit look! I have a few suits with this fabric and let me tell you- they are so comfortable and flattering on! A black swimsuit is a swim season must. I always feel like they’re so flattering on and are perfect for a low key look. Black goes with everything it’s so easy to wear with some gold jewelry like these earrings and I love her black-tie sunhat like this one! Waterless beach days

We’ve been on a chalk spree lately and we’ve really been missing the beach so I thought it would be fun to bring the beach to us! Even with my faux beach days, stay at home life has got me getting ready less and going longer between washing my hair. Now is the best time to start training your hair to go longer between washes!

Whether I wear my hair up in my signature messy bun, a sleek low pony, or down with full, loose waves, there’s one thing all good hair days have in common – second-day hair! A little bit of natural hair oil and a goodnight’s sleep will make your hair more manageable and give it more natural volume, so it’s really that magic number for good hair days, even beyond day 2! I started using this new dry shampoo because I love their backstory. A couple years ago, Cape Town was months away from running out of clean water so Waterl<ss developed this product that allows you to clean and condition your hair without using a single drop of water. Such an amazing concept for this crisis but also for water preservation around the world. 

Here are some hacks for getting away with skipping your shampoo for healthier hair:

1. Dry shampoo! Every girl’s best friend! This is one thing I always, always have on hand – at home, in my cat, in my gym bag, when I’m traveling- it’s a must! (Can’t wait to go to the gym and travel again!!) It’s the foolproof way to keep your hair from getting greasy between washes and can actually add a little volume too. I’ve been using Waterl<ss No Residue Dry Shampoo and it smells amazing! They have different options depending on whether your hair is fine or thick – it also dries really quick and doesn’t leave any residue. They also have a fragrance collection, conditioning, and styling collection.  Their cute little travel sizes are perfect to throw in your bag and go. (Quick tip: use dry shampoo before a workout or a beach day, instead of after – it will help absorb any sweat or moisture to prevent it getting greasy, instead of just managing it after.)
2. Use dry shampoo at night. Spray your roots at night with dry shampoo at night to help absorb moisture while you’re sleeping – that’s actually when your scalp produces the most oil! When you wake up, just brush through and it will feel freshly washed.
3. Keep your hands to yourself. It can be a hard habit to break but try to train yourself to avoid running your fingers through your hair. The more you touch your scalp, the more oils will be released and the greasier it will start to look. (Same goes for brushing! Focus just on the ends when you brush through your hair, not the roots!)
4. A Silk Pillowcase. People swear by silk pillowcases for a million skincare reasons, but it’s also great for your hair. It causes less friction, so you are more likely to wake up with ready-to-go bedhead, instead of frizzy hair or knots. It also helps extend the life of your blowout or styled hair for longer.
5. Add moisture as needed. If your hair tends to dry out between washes, add moisture just to the ends. You can apply an oil or a dry conditioning spray to your ends to make them more manageable.
