I have been on the hunt for the perfect tall lug boots this season and let me tell you guys, it was worth 👏 the 👏 wait.👏  These are the most beautiful boots. Even better in real life.

This pair was so good I ordered it in 2 colors (this pretty tan and the cream) and that was before they added 2 new colors! So you’ve been warned – you’ll have a hard time narrowing it down to just one. 😂  I also got this pair in black – I liked the chunkier sole for an edgier vibe.

The chunky boot styles are still carrying strong into 2021. It’s an updated version of the traditional Chelsea boot you have in your closet. These are waterproof and slide on super easy – they will become your GO- TO boot this season. 

OBSEEEEESSED with these tall lug boots. I got them in this pretty nude and also the cream color.

Snagged these glasses in-store at Nordstrom and they are my new fave pair. They come in multiple colors but I went with the tortoise – also love the black!

I’ve been getting some questions from you guys asking for more styling ideas for boots. I think with wide-leg jeans escorting skinny jeans off the fashion scene this year, we’re all in somewhat of a wardrobe transition trying to figure out how to adjust your wardrobe to the new trend. So I wanted to share 3 seamless ways to wear your tall lug boots this fall.

1. WHEN IN DOUBT, LEGGINGS: Not that leggings have ever been out of style, but paired with tall lug boots, they are more sophisticated than ever this season and I am here for it. Blazers, oversized sweatshirts, and chunky knits are all easy additions – really the options are endless!
2. TROUSERS: I’m loving the look of trousers with tall lug boots. It’s an effortless look and fully embraces the menswear vibe. Also works with wide leg trousers or more fitted trousers, so it’s an easy recipe.
3. BIKER SHORTS / MINI DRESSES: And maybe the most failproof combo for any tall boots – just keep your hems high. I love these lug boots with biker shorts or, better yet, a cute shorts one piece set under a pretty shacket. (Love the fringe detail on this one pictured below.)

5. TAN ZIP HOODIE (UNDER $30 – wearing size L)

Been loving this tan zip hoodie for fall. It’s a neutral color that goes well with so many looks- I’ll wear it over a workout set or over leggings and a ribbed tee. I wear size large for an oversized fit and it’s under $30. It comes in multiple colors and is so warm and cozy!

4. SWEATPANTS (UNDER $30 – wearing size M)

My current favorite sweatpants that have been on repeat lately. They are under $30 and I have them in multiple colors. I’ve also gotten multiple DMs from people saying they ordered 1 color and then once they got them, they were so good they ordered them in multiple other colors. So they are getting a huge seal of approval. I sized up to medium for a slightly looser fit.

3. RUCHED BUTTON UP (UNDER $25)

There are so many ways to wear this ruched button up! So cute on with high-waist denim and transparent heels or even with a skirt and boots. My favorite blue light blocking glasses. My go-to pair that I’ve had for months, I love the big round retro shape and think they are so cute paired with fall outfits. I always bring them to the office when I’m looking at screens all day and when we travel, it makes such a difference!

When I first saw this stunning coat online at Saks, I could not take my eyes off of it and now I can’t take it off. From the colors to the patter-play to the silhouette, everything about it is perfection. Retro prints and oversized pieces are all the rage this fall. There are no rules when it comes to mixing looser and tighter pieces, I personally love the both top and bottom oversized suit look. Statement colors are one of the summer trends that are carrying into fall as well. It’s all about bright pops of color whether it be a bag, shoes, clothing, or even a makeup look. This is a recreation of my travel style look for the drive up. Oversized layers with a cropped tank and leggings (these have pockets and love the material, especially around the waist) are one of my favorite travel style combos – super easier to wear and perfect to peel layers when you get too hot. I also always travel with an oversized tote or duffel (you can never have enough room for snacks, electronics, chargers, whether you’re flying or driving) and this is one I’ve had for years. The quilting is super lightweight and the strap is really comfortable, plus multiple pockets. Also have to call out these Nikes because I wore them all weekend too and still can’t get enough of the cool neon colors. Cody loved them so much he had me order for him too.

Keep the rest of your look simple, either with monochromatic colors or shorter hems so the jacket gets all the attention. Love a good oversized shirt jacket over a matching shorts set like this boucle set (top and bottoms both under $50). To keep it feeling seasonal, go for a tall boot. I’m in love with these gorgeous white heeled boots. 😍 So stunning and it will put any outfit over the top. Also a great way to transition a boxy, patchwork coat for a night out.

I can’t count how many times during the fall I end up in a sweater, jeans, and boots. A good quilted, patchwork jacket is a great way to break up an everyday look. This one mixes prints and colors so seamlessly, so it’s easy to coordinate with lots of different color palettes and created a ton of visual interest for even the simplest looks. I love the length – I think the length is probably the trickiest part about this denim trend, especially when you factor in shoes/boots. This pair hits the perfect length, especially with a pretty strappy sandal underneath. (Love this one – also an amazing price point under $150!)

Im so excited about two toned denim. I actually had got a pair like 4 years ago and it’s one of my favorites, but I accidentally washed them on hot last year and they shrunk 😭. I had been looking for a similar pair FOREVER, so I am so excited to see the two tone making it’s way back. This pair from above is under $100! It also has the asymmetric cross/button detail at the waist. These will get you thousands of compliments this season! I ordered a 26 and they are a little loose so going to exchange for 25. If you want a looser fit then go true to size, if you want a little more fitted I would say size down. Love them!

I always get excited for boot season and love styling them, dressed up, dressed down, lace-up boots, tall boots, western boots – I love them all! Lace up boots are back and better than ever. I got these boots in the black and brown last year but now I feel like I need this ‘Oasis’ color. The laces are so good! I also got these boots and can’t wait to wear them this fall – the come in multiple colors – some of the prettiest neutral tones I’ve seen in boots this year! And the combat look is still one of my favorite fall boot trends. Keep it feeling current with a cool hardware detail – can’t wait to bring these back out this year!

WEAR THEM WITH: Pretty much anything! Oversized tees with biker shorts, long line blazers, or any shorter looks take on an edgy, cool vibe with lace-up boots, but there’s no wrong way to wear your lace-up boots.

It feels like such a statement boot but it’s a great price point still – comes in multiple colors.

One of my favorite combos for fall is knits and leather! For thinner-knit sweater dresses, throw on a leather skirt (obsessed with this one under $100 – the pockets + color are so good!). It’s another unexpected pairing and can be so chic when done right. Finish it off with a leather ankle bootie and you’re ready for brunch with the girls. Also love the idea of leather paper-bag shorts with tights!

This might be one of my favorite looks. I’m allllll about the shackets this fall! They are selling out so fast everywhere so clearly I’m not alone haha. I love it layered over a sweater dress and with a chunky knit beanie for a cozy, casual look. These nude combat boots are such a pretty color to bring in some nude tones to your fall wardrobe and I love the idea of these ruffled socks paired with them! Also how cute is this mini shoulder bag!? I am in love!!

Also found some cute fall staples for Beckam! I’m obsessed with the color of these cargo pants and under $15 right now. They also come in two more colors but I love all the fall feels this on brings to his wardrobe.

H&M is one of the best places to try new trends that are good quality but still affordable. One of my favorite trends right now is shackets and I swear H&M has the best! All of their shackets are flying out of stock right now but this one is fully stocked in all colors. I love this shorter twill one and this quilted one is so good.

CROPPED SWEATSHIRT (ON SALE UNDER $15)

I couldn’t believe my eyes on the price of this cropped sweatshirt (or the stock!). Both colors are so good and the full sleeves make them read much higher end. I was shocked that they were both fully stocked but I know they won’t stay that way.

RIB-KNIT CARDIGAN (ON SALE UNDER $25)

Another one of my favorite, most-worn trends from this season is button-up cardigans as tops. Whether you go for cropped and flirty or more oversized and effortless, you can’t go wrong! This one comes in 3 gorgeous colors  on sale under $25.

H&M Home is also included in the 20% off which rarely happens! I love their aesthetic, especially with all their decor items. How cozy does this shearling blanket look!? They have gorgeous vases especially and also have some holiday stuff on their site and already on sale – loving the color scheme vibes of these ornaments!

For this week’s things I bought post, it’s all about boots! I went on a bit of a boot spree and stocked up on some beautiful fall boots so wanted to share my buys!

SESAME CHELSEA BOOTS (MORE SIZES HERE)

These might be my favorite boots I bought so far this season! They are waterproof which is 🙌🏼🙌🏼. It rained and I didn’t have to worry about water spots on my light leather shoes. I’m obsesssssed with the pretty sesame tone! It’s the perfect tone for fall and turns even your simplest looks into a cool, cozy outfit. Will be wearing this nonstop! They’ve been selling super fast but I found a few more sizes here and more sizes here.

Also wanted to show the black because they are fully stocked in black. I actually might get the black pair too because they are so comfy!

SHEARLING LACE-UP BOOT (ON SALE 25% OFF)

I discovered these boots at the tail-end of last year’s winter season and they were sold out everywhere – so excited they came back this year! I love the shearling detail paired with the pretty leather laces. They are also super comfortable and maybe one of the most practical boots I own haha – that traction is priceless in the Utah snow!

LEATHER SHEARLING LACE-UP BOOT (ON SALE 25% OFF)

Yea, they are that good haha! I’ve bought jeans in multiple colors, sweatshirts, joggers, even coats. But rarely do I buy boots in multiple colors. It was just too hard to choose between the black leather and the brown suede but they felt different enough that I decided to go for both. They are on sale 25% off right now but not sure how long that will last so definitely pull the trigger if you are thinking about it.

WHITE PLATFORM COMBAT BOOTS

I also got these white lace-up combat boots. I love the contrast with the black, chunky platform sole. They add an edgy, casual vibe to any outfit – will be wearing this with all the plaid oversized layers this fall!
