Hey guys! Summer has always been one of my favorite seasons to shop for so I’m always adding summery pieces to my cart – especially ones that I can transition into fall. We are total beach people and always make it a point to go to a beach at least once every few months, so I’m buying swimwear year-round. I think swimwear is my biggest weakness! I’m always drawn towards pastels and neutrals, and how cute is this light pink one piece? Love the crochet detail. I’m also a major sucker for stripes so I this bikini set and this oversized button up that you can wear as a swimsuit coverup or with cut-offs of jeans. Sandals are another piece that I end up wearing most of the year and I just found this updated version of the sandals I’ve been living in this season! I wear the white non-stop but also love the bright yellow!  I’ve also been realizing I need to freshen up my bag game and fell in love when I came across this one – it’s an investment but it’s one of those bags you’ll own and wear forever. Also love this one that’s at a really accessible price point and will go with everything.

Happy Friday you guys! The Nordstrom half-yearly sale is here so of course I had to share some of my favorite finds! The sale items are up to 40% so it’s a great time to snag some good basics at really good prices or to splurge on higher end pieces while they are on sale! I’ve always loved sundresses for spring and summer and love the bow detailing on this blue one and this polka dot one (also obsessed with this yellow one!!). Paris! It’s one of my favorite cities in the world. I’ve been a few times with the family and once with just me and Beckam when he was a baby. Cody, me, and the kids all have short attention spans so when we came we never made it to some of the museums and more touristy stops in Paris, so I was excited to do that during our girls trip! We originally went to see the cherry blossoms they were supposed to be in full bloom by end of May but a storm came a few days before we were there and SNOWED! Snow in Paris crazy right! So there were barely any trees in bloom!

Our first day in Paris apparently half the city was on strike! So a lot of the spots we planned on seeing were closed, but it was the perfect chance to walk around the city. We just wandered around and ended up all over town. Our first stop was Notre Dame: You can’t go to Paris and not see the Notre Dame! There was almost no line so we were able to get in really quickly. Such an amazing experience and crazy to think it started being built in the 1100’s! Even if you aren’t religious, the cathedrals in Paris are a rite of passage – they are all so beautiful!

The Louvre: Do your research ahead of time (we didn’t lol)! When we showed up there were 2 lines – one for people who had reserved a time to visit the Louvre, and then the rest of us who were just winging it. The majority of us were winging it of course so it was a pretty long line, maybe half an hour to actually get in and then another 15 minutes to buy tickets. There’s an audio tour (costs a little extra) or a free app you can download for a reference point as you are exploring. The Louvre is HUGE! You could easily spend all day there. Honestly I wasn’t as excited to go, but once we went it was actually really cool to see. The detail in some of the pieces is insane and thinking about what they created with the resources they had is pretty crazy to think about! I would say its a for sure must see, but if you aren’t much into art you could be in and out in an hour.

Sacre Coeur: We just randomly ended up at the Sacre Coeur one night and it had such a pretty view of the city, I was so glad we did it! We didn’t get there in time to climb the steps up to the dome for the best view, but it was still a beautiful view from the peak of the Montmartre neighborhood. On the way down there was a street vendor selling hot apple cider and hot mulled wine – so good! On our walk I found the only cherry blossoms in Paris I think hahah jk I’m sure there was more somewhere but I was so excited to find one tree with some beautiful blooms!

The Flower Market: This was my favorite part of the trip!! It was my first time to a French flower market and it was every bit as amazing as it sounds. There were no other tourists so it felt like a typical Parisian Saturday morning, picking up produce and flowers for the week. I almost cried because I was literally just so happy! 😍

Versailles: Every detail was absolutely breathtaking. MAJOR home inspo haha. The pink marble was probably my favorite, and all the ornate detail everywhere! The gardens were insane, I can only imagine how pretty it is in the summer when it’s in full bloom. I didn’t realize how big Versailles was until the end of the day when my feet were sooooo tired, haha, so first tip – wear sneakers! We heard that you should either go first thing in the morning or late afternoon when it’s least busy, and we noticed the line definitely started to die down around 4. Make sure you have time to explore the gardens though! I think you could spend a whole day just outside when it’s nice out.

Saint Chapelle: Fourth time was the charm! We tried to see Saint Chapelle the first time but it was closed. We looked up the hours online and saw it closed at 5pm, so we got there at 4:36 and found out the last entrance is 30 minutes before closing – so we missed it by 6 minutes! The next day we had to leave for Versailles and tried to squeeze the Saint Chapelle in right before and the line was like an hour long! I’ll be honest, I gave up but my friends went back the next morning and waited in line because I had major jet lag and just wanted to sleep in haha. Apparently you can get priority tickets online and skip the majority of the line! It would have saved so much time haha. The pictures they got were so pretty – the stained glass looked unreal! It’s pretty quick once you get in, so definitely spring for the priority pass so you don’t spend more time outside waiting than inside actually enjoying it.

Cafe De Flore: This cafe is probably one of the most insta-worthy eateries we went to. I’m obsessed with all the flowers overhanging the restaurant and it’s facing a busy street and sidewalk so you get a true taste of what everyday life in Paris is like just people watching. The Eiffel Tower: No visit to Paris is complete without a trip to the Eiffel Tower! You’ll get a few peeks of it from around the city, but you have to see it up close at night when it’s twinkling! So magical. We got a crepe from the street vendor right by the Eiffel Tower and it so good! Street food is always a good choice in Paris

Whitney always has the best Zara finds!! So obsessed with her outfit!!

SPRING SPRING SPRING! Doesn’t it just make you so happy! Today is two casual everyday looks in my favorite classic neutral tones. I always have a jacket in my car for those sporadic cold days, and it’s still really cool at night here. We just launched this military jacket at ILY and I love how it’s a statement piece but still neutral so it works with anything. We also just added these denim shorts (under $100) and I love the wash and fit. So excited it’s getting time for shorts season again! Also these white sandals are kind of a dupe of a designer pair but I love them so much! I wore them a ton on our beach trips earlier this year and they just restocked the sizes! They are under $100 too!

Happy Monday guys!! How was your weekend? Ever since it’s started warming up here we can’t help but to be outside as much as possible. These pics were from last week, One of B’s favorite things to do lately is ride his bike around the neighborhood (before everyone freaks out about not having his helmet one- he has one and wears it!! He just wanted to show our friends his new bike before Cody went to dinner with his friends 🙂 On laid back days like this I totally go for my typical mom uniform which usually includes comfy jeans (these are under $100) and a good basic tank. These distressed jeans are so comfy and I love wearing them with more casual outfits. I’m also obsessed with these layered necklaces (here and here) and have been wearing them with everything!

This weekend Mara and Wes were over (I always get so many dm’s asking why they aren’t in more pics, or who these new kids in my insta stories are lol, so I know I sound like a broken record but they are my step babies and we only have them part time 🙂 We started doing yard work this weekend, and some spring cleaning getting ready to have people over! We have a covered patio in the back on the second floor of our house and we haven’t done anything with it since we moved in, it had patio furniture I bought the summer before but we were gone so much it never got assembled 🙈 so this weekend we cleaned it all up and finally put the furniture together! I had this fun idea to build a tent and camp outside on the patio, sleep under the stars with the kids and eat popcorn all night. It was going to be perfect, so we borrowed my sister in laws tent, attempted to set it up – Cody and I ended up arguing over how to put up the tent half way into it lol, realized it wouldn’t stay up super well because it’s on a patio and we don’t have dirt to secure it down to, so needless to say my picture perfect tent night under the stars turned into a disgruntled mess! Ha! Cody and I ended up laughing about it because I think as a parent sometimes we create these “special” moments in our head of what we want something to be, and it doesn’t work out! So the next night, Cody pulled our mattresses onto the deck and set up the tv with popcorn and blankets all sweet to surprise us. We started to watch The Wizard of Oz, and realized how noisy it was and that we all get allergies haha – we bagged it again.

Now everyone is asleep in our room and I’m wide awake for some reason, watching reruns of The Office, and just thinking about how thankful I am for family…. anyways – have you guys had one of those moments you build up in your head and it doesn’t quite work out 😉

Hey guys! Happy Monday!! It was SOOOO nice here this weekend we went to the park and played outside so much. Mara had her dance recital and she was so freaking cute! They did the song Come Fly With Me, and she had this little flight attendant costume it was adorable!

Today’s outfits are all about denim! I’m loving all the statement denim we are seeing this season. These red and white stripe jeans are my new favorites and they are under $100! (Does it remind any one else of the 90’s too?! I love it!). The other trend we are seeing is clean denim – less distressing and clean lines. These skinnies are the perfect everyday denim (also under $100) but still bring interest with a two tone hem at the ankle. Pair it with a suede jacket for the perfect day to night look.

I always find good things for me while shopping for Cody haha. I also love this one, and it’s under $35! I like to dress up a more casual outfit by adding some statement heels and good earrings, it’s the perfect way to be comfy but also be ready for a night out. Also hair accessories are a big thing this season. I took this leopard scarf and just tied it in my pony for a little interest to the look. These jeans have also been my go to pants lately!! They pair with almost anything!

I love the relaxes fit and acid wash. Paige has so many cute jeans right now. Love this pair (the perfect acid wash!) and this one – such a good hem. The sweater was another recent buy, love the cut out shoulder details and I’ve been really into turtlenecks this year so I love the flirty detail with it.

By now, most of you probably know I grew up a serious tomboy, loved sports, and was convinced I was going to be the first woman quarterback in the NFL. I grew up watching football with my family every Sunday after church. My family loved to have people over so it was always an event with my cousins or friends. To be honest, we grew up huge Seahawk fans, so they are probably disowning me after reading this post and seeing me in my Patriots gear 🙂 but Cody is a big Tom Brady fan so I supposed both. 🙂 Now that Beckam is getting old enough to want to throw the “baseball” outside (he keeps confusing baseballs and footballs 😉 it’s becoming a family affair. Watching the big game is always a great way to bring friends and family together, so I wanted to share a few things you need for hosting a game-day at your place!

1. Team Pride! Go Patriots! (Unless they are playing the Seahawks 😉 Donning your fan gear immediately gets you in the spirit! Macy’s has this collection of game-day pieces by Alyssa Milano and I’m obsessed with the vintage looking sweaters! Usually fan apparel means oversized graphic tees or jerseys, so I love that this NFL collection has these more feminine stylish options to support my teams!

2. An abundance of food. Most football games run over 3 hours so you’ll definitely want to make sure you have plenty of options for people to snack on. My stepmom’s cheeseball recipe is my favorite plus it’s super quick and easy. You can also stagger some snacks (or even pizza delivery) for a good half-time break.

3. The Pregame. Half the fun of a football viewing party is the pregame (hello tailgating!). Play a pick-up game of football outside before the game to get your energy pumping or board games with friends!

4. Good friends. What’s a football game without someone to watch it with? Invite your friends over to cheer with you and your team (or even better – friends that are cheering for the opposite team to bring that competitive spirit to life ;).

5. Lose yourself in the game. Disconnect from your phone while they game is on and have fun cheering with your S/O!

You guys know I love finding budget-friendly pieces so I wanted to share some of my recent buys, most of which are under $100. It’s always the details that get me, so I love all the tie-sleeve sweaters this season. I love this one (which I also got in grey). And this blazer! I love the long hem and the cropped sleeves are perfect to show of those pretty sleeve details. I also got these jeans (under $100) in store and they are so good in person – love the wash and the light distressing. I always end up grabbing a few BP necklaces – they are always under $20 and such good options for layering.

These shoes were the exception at $100, but they are just went on sale for under $100! When it comes to budget-friendly looks I usually style them with higher-end shoes because it really elevates the look, but in this case these pumps looked designer so they worked perfectly. I love the asymmetrical embellishments on the toe and it’s a statement shoe so you can add it to any simple look to put it over the top.

Hey guys! Cody and I just got out to London for the Tommy Hilfiger show tomorrow and I can’t wait! It’s always one of my favorite events of the season and it’s being held in London this year so you know it’s going to be amazing. Can’t wait to see what they have in store!

Fall is one of my favorite seasons (which I know I’ve said a million times – are you tired of it yet 😉 but one of my favorite parts is watching the leaves change colors! Utah falls are always really short, so whenever I travel during the fall I get really nervous all the leaves will change colors and fall off the trees before I get home to see it haha. So here’s hoping it doesn’t happen before we get back!

This sweater  look familiar? I just got it a couple weeks ago and have already worn it multiple times (last seen here). Also love this quilted bomber! It’s really oversized, so you can size down if you want something more fitted, but it’s perfect to be able to layer over your thick knits. And lastly I have to call out the over the knee boots I’m wearing today because they come in 6 colors and are an extra 30% off sale right now, so that makes them under $100! You can’t go wrong with multiple colors of over the knee boots!!
