6 Ways to Wear Your Matching Sets This Summer

I’ve been absolutely loving matching sets. I recently bought this is tan terry top and bottom set – this fabric has been especially trendy for spring! They are great quality and my favorite part is how versatile both have been – I’ve been mixing the shorts with other pieces in my wardrobe depending on the look I’m going for. Whether you’re going for effortless style or wanting to look a little fancier for a night out, here are some of the outfits I put together using the pieces. I also included another one of my favorite matching sets below!

The best part about matching sets is how well they pair well with so many pieces. Since the set is neutral I paired it with this woven bag to add some color and then a pair of white sneakers since I was going for a more casual look. I’m wearing a size medium in the top and a size small in the shorts.

For a casual, carefree look, throw on a pretty knit top and a pair of sneakers. This tee is super lightweight so it works for the warmer weather too and it has the cutest lace detail on the neckline! Also love this woven bag – great size, great price, and comes in multiple colors. I also found these adorable overalls for Ollie that are on sale – one of my favorite outfits for him right now!

This neutral monochromatic look from the matching set is so cute with some statement sandals! These sandals are under $100 and I love the jewel detail on them.

Blazers are the best piece to transition pretty much any look! I stole this one from Cody’s closet, but any oversized blazer is perfect. Throw them over a pair of leggings and white sneakers, with some leggings and a cropped tee, or over a pair of sweat shorts. They completely change your look! If you wanted to dress up these pretty nude shorts for a night out, pair them with a simple black top and your fave oversized black blazer. I threw on some black sandals but you can also make it a heeled sandal for something even a little dressier.

You can’t go wrong with monochromatic matching sets, especially when you take it to the accessory level! Bucket hats are super trendy right now so I love adding them to to my outfits for a fun look! I think the daisy detail on this hat (under $20) is so cute and goes will with this matching set. I threw on some white sneakers to complete the look. I know bucket hats haven’t caught on all the way yet but they are definitely on the rise!

My Fall Sweatshirt Haul

Will fall here and temperatures finally starting to cool off, I’m pulling out all the sweatshirts. From cropped to oversized and cozy, I can’t get enough of them! Here are some of my favorite recent sweatshirt buys, all under $50

Love the color on this one! With graphic sweatshirts, I usually prefer them cropped so I took a pair of scissors to this one and love how it turned out! The animal print is super subtle and it feels a more expensive in this pretty nude tone. Also love this black version here. On another note, these leggings were an amazing find. They remind me of the Lululemon Fast and Frees (pockets and all!) but at a fraction of the price. I’m wearing a size medium here, but could also go to a size small for something a little tighter.

This hoodie was pre-cropped and I love the fit. I found it in tons of colors in-store but it also comes in this oversized tunic version (just add biker shorts, or go even more oversized with just combat boots!) and this super soft sherpa version here.

This acid wash sweatshirt reminds of one we had at ILY years ago – it’s sooooo soft, almost spongy. It was probably my favorite sweatshirt I’ve ever owned. Happy Monday guys! I’ve been getting DMs about home stuff recently (probably because we’ve been home so much 🙂 so I wanted to share bedroom details and also some of my favorite pieces that make for the coziest mornings lounging around the house.

COZY EARTH BEDDING (20% OFF RIGHT NOW)

I’ve shared my Cozy Earth bedding obsession a few times but it’s really that good. Their bamboo comforter is an investment, but once you upgrade you will regret not doing so earlier. So good! I’ve seen lots of stories from those of you who bought it and love as much as I go. It’s actually on sale right now too on their semi-annual sale which I didn’t even realize until I went to grab a link haha. (Their bamboo sheet set is on sale too – love!)

UPHOLSTERED BED (SHADE – ZUMA WHITE – ON SALE RIGHT NOW)

While we were in our rental house (while our current home was being built) Cody and I had just a simple bed frame that didn’t have a headboard. I didn’t realize how much I would miss having an upholstered headboard but once we moved into our new place, this bed was one of our first new furniture additions. I love the color and it’s super comfortable. It was a really good price point and a spontaneous purchase, so part of me thought it might end up in a guest room but we love it so much that it stuck!

RUG (SHADE: SLATE)

We went with a really oversized rug in our bedroom to bring some some texture and warmth to the wood floors in our room, but what really made the biggest difference is a thick, plush rug pad. We went with a really thick one and there’s no better feeling when your feet first touch the floor in the morning and sink into something so soft!

GOLD MIRROR

Not necessarily cozy, but this mirror is one of my favorite pieces in our room. It brings so much light reflecting from our windows and the mornings I’m woken up by sunrise reflecting around the room are always my favorite!

Hey guys! Happy Friday, how is everyone feeling? I honestly thought it was Friday like 3 different days this week haha. Today’s post is about one of my go to bags. You guys have seen me use this leather bag for years – even well before I had Ollie I used it as a travel bag (perfect addition to any airport look!). I have it in both this beige color and cognac and they go with everything. They are also super spacious, so if you have kids you can fit everything from diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, and toys to your essentials. Or for traveling I fit everything I need mid-flight: my laptop, chargers, an extra sweatshirt, snacks, etc. It’s also a female-founded company and the owner, Jenny, is one of my good friends. She is such an amazing inspiring woman, so even more during these times I want to support people I love and believe in.

This $10 Dress (Non-Maternity) Styled 3 Ways

Love knotting my tees and sweatshirts over my bump! This dress is the perfect non-maternity piece that still works before, during, and after pregnancy.

Happy Saturday! With all the construction going on in our house right now, we decided to escape for a little staycation this weekend. It was more of a grab and go packing situation since we went so last minute, so I grabbed a few comfy pieces I could mix and match and wanted to share a few ways I’ve styled them! I got this grey swing dress for $10 and was shocked at how comfortable it is. It’s really versatile and the perfect piece for a weekend getaway or just everyday style since you can wear it so many different ways. I love this sweatshirt (similar here) knotted over it for a casual look with these sneakers.

You can’t go wrong with a simple swing dress and sneaker combo. Swing dresses are the perfect non-maternity or maternity piece that works well before, during, and after pregnancy!

And last but not least, one of of my favorite styling pieces: a long, knit cardigan. This look would be cute with booties too, but I’m living in sneakers right now 😉

3rd Trimester! 5 Things Update

It’s been a while since I’ve done a 5 things post, so here we go. ❤️

I’m officially in my third trimester! 💫The first trimester was rough, second trimester honestly just felt really up and down – I was emotional and not myself. The end of the second trimester and beginning of my third, I have been loving! I definitely feel very pregnant, but I love feeling the baby kick. I kind of know what to expect when I’m going to get heartburn and when my back will start hurting, but I’ve just felt connected these last couple weeks, more so than the rest of my pregnancy. I’m loving this stage right now!
I watched season 3 of Stranger Things and fell asleep in almost every other episode. I loooved the first two seasons but felt like this season they had too many things going on and it felt more depressing. 🤷🏼‍♀️
I’m in a major nesting phase. I really love being home right now!
As I get ready for baby to come, I’ve been wanting to stock up on comfy clothes Especially because I’m due in the fall, I know we will be hibernating more. A lot of my old loungewear and bras are too small so I ordered a few new bras from Jockey (I have like 3 off their sports bras and love them!) They are so comfortable. They are from the Jockey Forever Fit Collection and all of the pieces in the collection have the support of a bra but all the comfort of a bralette. They all have a stretchy infinity underband and are wire-free like bralettes, but they also have the hook and eye closure like a standard bra so you can get the perfect fit. I got this one in white and also love this teal option. Also have to mention these grey sweats I got too because they are the softest, comfiest thing every. Probably going to be living in those.
I keep waking up in the middle of the night craving pancakes. Especially McDonald’s pancakes 🥞but I haven’t had any weird pregnancy cravings, like random things paired together like they talk about in movies – I haven’t experienced this with either of my pregnancies actually. Did you guys?

My Favorite Non-Maternity [Turned Maternity] Dresses Under $50

How cute is Mio!? You can tell he knows what’s going on and he keeps rubbing his head on my belly. He’s excited to be a big brother again!

Hi guys! Now that I am officially in my second trimester I am pretty much giving up on jeans, haha. I find myself either wearing flowy pieces or bodycon pieces – both are so comfortable! I’ve gotten a ton of these fitted knit dresses (you’ve also seen my multiple times in this one under $20!) that are actually non-maternity, but I just size up 1-2 sizes (depending on the dress) so they fit (wearing a medium in this one). I love having comfy dresses that have some stretch to them so they accommodate the bump! You can wear them to the office under a blazer, to the grocery store with sneakers, or to date night with some pretty sandal heels. Love the detail on this one (under $25), and how pretty is this one? I also got this striped option that comes in 3 colors (under $20).

I have always been a sneaker girl, but the more pregnant I get, the more I’m living in sneakers. 😉 Cody and I just got these matching throwback white sneakers. I love coordinating with Cody and sneakers are one of the few things he gets on board to match with haha. These classic white Reeboks are the perfect throwback for this season and super versatile. I actually got the kids some too because I loved them so much!

Here are some of my favorite ways to style them into your day-to-day looks:

Cody isn’t much of a shopper – well he kind of is, but his version is like 20 minutes in and out of a store and he gets frustrated if they won’t have everything he’s looking for. So, whenever I hear him talking about wanting new jeans, I’ll usually just order a bunch of stuff online for him. Here are 3 staples to ‘Add to Cart’ for your guys’ next wardrobe refresh.

Denim. Ok, Cody and I agree on most things, but denim length is not one of them. Cody lives in denim so I ordered him a few 512 Levi’s in different washes – these in the Sin City wash and the Dark Hollow wash, and also got this stretch option in the Kilt wash. I keep trying to convince him to get a shorter fit (size 32 length) but he is stuck on the 34 length so I ordered a few options in both lengths. We ended up keeping these two washes (Dark Hollow and Sin City) and then one of each length. Every guy needs some casual, lighter options and then a nice dark wash they can transition to dinner or the office with a nice suit jacket and dress boot.
A Better-Than-Basic Tee. You can never go wrong with a great tee when shopping for your guy. I was so excited to surprise Cody with this custom personalized Levi’s tee with his initials! It’s subtle but still a great detail to make it the first tee he goes for when getting ready. It gives you a couple options for placement and comes in 3 more colors (also only $30! A steal for a customized item). It fits true to size – Cody’s wearing a size L.
Layers He’ll Love. I saw this hoodie denim jacket online and immediately loved it. It’s got a super casual, relaxed feel and what guy says no to a hoodie? It’s a great layer when you are out running errands or for a low-key date night. I also ordered this trucker jacket in Berkman – Black. It’s a really dark black wash, not faded at all, so it reads a little more polished. It also comes in a dozen different washes and it’s under $100.

My New Mother’s Day Collection Just Launched!

I am so excited to share the latest Shop Hello Fashion designs with you all! One of my favorites that I’ve been wearing on repeat is our Mama Tee – such a great staple!

Those of you who have been following me for a long time know how all of life’s special moments have inspired new designs, and finding out I was finally pregnant got me so excited to create some new pieces, like our Mama To Be sweatshirt. You know how much I wear my comfy sweatshirts, so I found the softest french terry sweatshirt to share with those fellow maternity mamas. 🙂

I’ve also been wanting to create something for those fellow step-mamas out there. I think the word ‘step’ can sometimes add a negative connotation, but it’s such a positive thing to have one more person to love you in the world, so I’m super excited for our Bonus Mama sweatshirt! I’ve already gotten so many DMs from a lot of you telling me how much you loved this one and it honestly made me so happy that so many felt the same way I do about being a bonus mama!

This Mother Forever tee is one of my favorites from the collection. It’s more of a modern update on our classic mom tees – perfect to layer under a blazer for a more polished look or with a leather jacket for an edgier outfit.

I also love my long sleeve Touojurs A’mour – it means love always in French and once a mother, always a mother.

The $17 Sweats That Are Going Viral

You guys know how much I love my loungewear – now more than ever being pregnant! I found this pair in-store the other day and have been living in them. Not surprising, but what was surprising was how many questions I got about them and even more surprising – the price! Nobody could believe they are $17 – definitely a steal and they are one of my most asked about pieces so I wanted to share details. They are really versatile as far as sweats go actually! For a casual street style look, I added a racerback tank and stole Cody’s denim jacket (similar here). The crop and relaxed fix of these sweats makes them easier to dress up so I also paired them with a graphic sweater for movie night and a blazer and sweater for a few errands. They are pretty true to size but I sized up for a more relaxed fit and to accommodate the ever growing bump, but love the fit! Keep scrolling to see other ways I’ve worn it.

Packing for Orlando and Disney World

Happy Friday guys! We are still in Orlando with Disney, and wanted to share some of the things I packed for the trip 🙂

New Year Inspo – What I’m loving so far in 2019!

Happppppy New Year! I know I am a little late on this post, but after taking a couple weeks off I am feeling totally refreshed and ready to get going full force into the new year! I wanted to share some of my favorite items I have been loving already in 2019. These are all items I have been using and loving to help keep me feeling organized, happy, uplifted and like my very best. We moved into our new house yesterday and I couldn’t be happier about it!

I shared this lip mask like a week ago on my insta stories – its seriously one of my new favorites! Its a sleep mask for your lips, but I carry mine around with me all day and use it as chapstick. I’m obsessed!

You probably saw last week I went to Napa with the amazing Lancome team and got to try out their new Absolue skin care line. The new line is amazing! I will be sharing a full blog post on my trip soon but had to include the line as one of my recent favorites.

I am still living in these Adidas UltraBoost tennis shoes. They are soooo comfy and I love all of the colors they come in! I will definitely be wearing these to help with one of my resolutions to be more active!

This cozy blanket and cordless vacuum are for the new house! You can never have too many cozy blankets around the house 🙂 And after hearing so much about these cordless vacuums I finally ordered one and I can’t wait to see what all the hype is about!

You’ve seen me wearing this bag a few times now – its seriously the best! I love that you can put your monogram on it and customize the size and color of it…its just all around the perfect size to use as a work bag for your laptop, notebook, etc or just as an everyday mom bag that holds all your stuff for running around.

Cody got me this planner for Christmas and it was the best gift! Its so simple and functional and I love that I can break out my schedule hour by hour to help keep me on track. It comes in a bunch of colors!

One of my most asked about topics is definitely skin care and I am so excited to share more skin care related posts this year! These sheet masks are 100% one of my favorite products that I am using lately. If you feel like you don’t have time for sheet masks…there’s always a way to make time! I will wear them when I am getting stuff done around the house or even just blow drying my hair. Gotta multi task to get that beauty time in 🙂

I have been wearing this cozy cardigan so much recently and gotten a lot of questions about it so I wanted to share it asap! It is the same fabric they make their robes in so it feels like you’re literally wearing a robe, but its a cardigan so its cute and acceptable to wear out in public 😉

Baskets!!! One of my major goals for the new year is just to keep our new house looking new and keep it organized and as tidy as possible. With 3 kids and a dog this isn’t always easy – so one of my favorite tricks is to have a bunch of cute baskets like this around around the house to toss their toys and blankets in when we aren’t using them.

Hey 2019! House and Life update…

Hey guys! Its been a minute…but I am back! Wanted to take some extra time after the holiday to finish up things on our house and spend time with my family. It was an awesome break but I am really excited for this year and whats to come! Since I’ve been gone for awhile, I thought I would do a quick 5 things update:

We still haven’t moved into our house…but its SOOOOO close! I know I’ve said this a couple times but I think we might be moving in this weekend! (I added a bunch of home update pics on my instagram stories so if you missed it, you can click on the home highlight reel to catch up!)
A lot of you guys have asked about our exterior lights, I am so excited about how they turned out. Here’s a link to the lights.
Just left on my first work trip of the year with Lancome to Sonoma! Its my first time here…any suggestions?
I was looking through pics of my pregnancy announcement with Beckam today and my best friend Jen and I realized her due date coming up is the exact same day that Beckam was due back in March of 2014! B came 5 days early and she is measuring a week ahead, so how crazy would it be if her new baby boy has the same birthday as B?!
Our internet has been out at our house for over a month, and they keep saying they will send a new router and they haven’t yet!!! Freaking Century Link…don’t use them!! There are so many shows we have been wanting to watch on Netflix and haven’t been able to catch up on! But we finally watched Birdbox…I normally hate scary movies and to be honest I had to cover my eyes a couple of times, but I loved it! I love a good suspenseful movie. What have you been watching on Netflix lately?

Airport style! I always make sure to dress comfy for extra long flights like this one – comfy jeans, fuzzy pull over and Nikes are always a go to. I love these new Nikes because they zip on and off which makes them perfect for travel! This bag made the perfect carry on and I am obsessed with this new red suitcase!

This dress is so perfect for a beach or desert vacation!

These pajamas are so soft and cozy for sleeping or just lounging around the house and they’re 40% off! They come in 4 colors and I am having trouble picking just one…I love them all!

If you are looking for a good snow/rain boot these are now on sale for under $100 and so so cute! I am always living in boots like this when winter hits here in Utah.

This bag is such a great staple and 25% off if you don’t already have a tan leather bag in your closet! This brand doesn’t go on sale very often and it’s a classic bag that will never go out of style.

Cody and I actually both have and love these sweatpants🙂 One of the few times he will match with me 😉 If you are needing a good gift for your boyfriend, husband, or dad – I highly recommend these leather boots or this travel kit. You can’t go wrong with gifting a nice, quality leather boot that will last them awhile! And the travel kit is something not all men would think to buy for themselves so it makes the perfect gift!
